Half a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup and some jello. Not the best, but it hit the spot.
Now I need to find quick easy low salt, low fat, low cholesterol recipes. I know that there are plenty out there, but any tips, tricks or website that anyone can share, I would appreciate the insight

Wow has she grown up fast and is so cute. Have you thought of investing in a bat company? I have a feeling that you are going to go through quite a few to keep the boys away

I'm home finally. After more meds and two bags of fresh frozen plasma, the drs. decided to go for the biopsy. I'm sorry and tired, but can take care of myself.
I should have the results some time next week, but I'm not too optimistic, but I'm at peace with the worst case scenario.
They also drain another 1700cc of fluid which brings to total to 5900cc since last Tuesday.
I really appreciate all the well wishes, they mean a lot to me.

Crone, remember that your dad and g-ma probably had them done years ago and the procedure was new. My mom had hers on the early 90s and had a hard time.
This past year alone, I know of 6 people who had the same experience as Jag and all say they wish they had done it earlier.
Good luck and remember that technology changes and it’s usually for the best.

With all that you have going on, I see no problem with buying them. I agree that I hate what they do to the environment, but I know that there’s much worse stuff being thrown out.

We had the same thing here. But what pisses me off are the kids at DD’s bragging about how much they are receiving and they didn’t lose anything close to the amount received.
I don’t think DD will ever ask me again about applying for the assistance. A 30 minuet tyraid and the look of death solved that question.
1. We don’t need the help 2. I didn’t lose hardly anything because I know better than to stock up during the summer

Still no biopsy, hopefully tomorrow. My INR is too high and they’re afraid I’ll bleed too much. So I’m being pumped with vitamin K for the second day in a row. If that doesn’t work, they’ll give me something to help with the blood flow, but that has its own issues. (Med people help me out with the layman ‘s terms). I’m starting to wonder how many more veins I have left to draw blood from.
They did remove another 2 liters of abdominal fluid, so that that’s 4 liters in a week.

are your kids with you?
Hugs Sue - I'm hoping for the best possible outcome for you. [/quote]
Kids are staying at the house about 15 minuets away. DD has school and work; DS has school and football practice. He was moved up from JV to varsity Friday.
I don’t mind being alone as I’m used to it and it’s given me a lot of time to think. I do miss my “puppies “ though.

Behind my yard is a very nice wooded section. It is beautiful but there are downed limbs and it it is very , very rough. We could rake and clear some of that out but if we did, then we would have no where to put that debris, etc. And, there are some large logs that would need to be cut up and removed. So, who do you call to do something like that? If i could clear it out, then i could put a bench back there and it would be a very pretty area to enjoy. Do you call an excavator or what? Shooby, it sounds lovely especially if it’s cleaned up with a flower garden and sitting area. I would call around to some of “better “ companies. You don’t want to have someone come in and butcher it. You are correct in making sure that it is not an environmentally sensitive area.

Quick update. I’m slowly learning how to use my phone on boards, but it’s slow going.
I’m still here, the Drs didn’t like my blood test s, so they ordered more meds with the hopes of doing the procedures tomorrow.

I was just trying to be positive. She seemed to be taking it so personally. Excuse me.[ You weren't the one I was a bit frustrated with, you were only pointing out the obvious. This is not the first time she's posted about this issue. Each time, she gets the exact same (good) advice and each time she appears to be shocked when that advice - Florida employers are hesitant to talk to OOS candidates - turns out to be true. [Sorry about that formatting. I think Ava just needed to hear what we’ve been saying from an employer.

Tiny did not say how much her pensions would be. I’ll receive 3, but two only add up to $76. I’m depending on my long term one and SS to get me through.

I’ve been in the hospital since yesterday. I’m having a hard time typing on my phone. Plus WiFi is not the greatest. I should be home Monday. Will try to update when possible.

Ava, I wish you the best. One temp firm is roberthalf.com and they used to be highly recommended because they specialize in the accounting world. I know a couple of people that used them a few years ago to get their foot in the door, so to speak. Keep in mind that local governments have just passed their budgets for the next year and sometimes they drag their feet with posting their open positions. Also, even though Miami area has a higher COL then my area, it is still cheaper than the area that you are coming from. I know you have researched the COL, but don't disregard jobs that pay much lower than what you are making now.
Not much help, I know, but just things that you may not have though about.

I know this is selfish, and he is the Dad, but I just want him to go away. Nothing selfish about it. We want our kids to not be exposed to people that are bad until they have the skills to cope with bad people. So much this, about not wanting our kids to be exposed to the people that they should love unconditionally, but they really shouldn't until they are mature/emotionally ready to deal with them. I know that it hurts, because as the strong parent, we want our kids to never having to go through all the emotions that situations like this evoke.

Sue, I read it as MLP wanting the DBD instead of the addictive personality one she's got. Yes. Things like going to Fall Sharing minus the kid is weird. Most of what they do at a Montessori is material manipulation which is what your child is supposed to be there to demonstrate for you. Of course it's going to seem like they don't do anything if you're judging that by what's in a 2nd graders journal! Sorry MLP, I misunderstood.

I would trade anyone a deadbeat univolved dad for the nut job oddly involved one I have to deal with. Apparently tonight he went to "Fall Sharing" at the school by himself. It's supposed to be an evening where the parents can visit the classroom and their child shows them around to what he/she has been working on. I didn't go because we had other things going on and had no clue he was going either until I get this string of text messages about how he went and how "pathetic" it was. "Here is his mat in the corner isolated from others" (kids choose where to work and there is 22 kids in the room...kind of hard to be isolated), "Here are his scribbles in his journal (yeah his handwriting does suck, but whatever, he's working on it). Apparently his teacher told him that "Carrot struggles emotionally sometimes" (ok, that's true). But then he goes off on how he doesn't like this place and thinks he would do better in a school with more structure and competition (translation, the Catholic school instead of the hippy dippy Montessori). Pisses me off. Carrot's reading and math are way above grade level and he loves the place. He has less emotional issues in class than his brother did who struggled with tons of social problems. And, btw, he never had a problem with his stepson going there when we were married. Never showed up for a single thing for him either and he was 7 years old when we got married, the same age Carrot is now. I think we married twins. Hugs, it's hard at Carrot's age, but my bet is that deadbeat dad (DBD) fades into the shadows. BTDT. I can also bet that that as Carrot gets older, DBD will no longer be welcome in Carrot's life by Carrot's choice. Here, the courts will allow a 13 yr. old to make the decision on whether or not the child wishes to have contact. DS has no interest in having his dad participate in any of his activities, refuses to talk to him (I've tried, but DS is adamant about the no contact). I try to send his football schedule or any other things that I think will hopefully make a difference in their relationship, but it's a no go.

I didn't totally understand it till I took immunology. I appreciate what a wonder of medical science RhoGam is a lot more. I didn't feel like pulling the textbook off the shelf to get the full description. I need that mental head space for my statistics test tomorrow. Statistics are much more important than what little information I remember from 30 yrs. ago. Good luck on your test, I'm sure you will do fine.

What I did for two years was, if DD had a volleyball game against one of the school's rivals, DS had to pick her game or his foot80+ball practice. But, he had to find a way home, his father never went to the practices and only lived five miles away. If he couldn't find a ride, he missed practiced.
If DD was playing a team that we know her team would win, DS went to practice. Some times I would drop DS off at practice drive 15 miles to watch part of her game and then rush to pick up DS.
One time DD was playing in a two day tournament in a large city about 80+ miles and DS had a one day football game in the same city but it was 30 miles across town. We watched about 20 mins. of her game and I drove the 30 miles to his game, watched about 30 mins. of his game to drive back the 30 miles to pick her up and them back to pick DS up.
Oh, did I mention that I hate driving in city traffic and google maps sucked at the time? Plus it was raining and missed my exit. Oh what fun times we had.

A friend from my loss group just had a baby last week. She lost her little girl around the same time we lost Aubree - we were in a CTT group together. Her little guy was diagnosed with kidney problems in utero, but thankfully that has resolved and he has two functioning kidneys!! But they have incompatible blood types and walked a fragile line making sure her body didn't attack him. It looks like that played a factor in his issues now - he's had to receive several blood transfusions and he is septic. He was transferred to a level 4 NICU by helicopter this morning (In Peoria IL). Please send good thoughts for baby R and his family. I cant imagine being so close to losing another baby especially after all they went through to get him here. How scary! Praying he responds well to treatment and can go home soon. Sam, I know that 30yrs ago, they tested both parents for blood compatibility, if incompatible, the mother would receive two shots at different times that contained urine (?) from Resis monkeys. It's been so long ago I don't remember what all it was, just that I had to have them. Do they not do that anymore or some else more advanced? Sorry about baby R and family, but I will keep them in my thoughts.

Thanks everyone. saveinla, I will admit to being a procrastinator, but I can usually tell when my body isn't right. So thought that I try some OTC first, but when those did not work I went in as soon as possible.

Hoping the best results for you Sue. I will keep you in my thoughts. But I am also angry at you - why didn't you go to the doctor before letting the symptoms develop so much? See this is the crazy thing. I just had a complete blood work done in July and everything was fine. Then I felt fine in August and it wasn't until a few days after hurricane Irma hit that I started not to feel well. I chalked the bloating/constipation up to eating junk food because of the loss of power/stores were bare. After taking OTC meds and them not working is when I went to the doctor.

Don't know why my reply to Iggy didn't post. I'm trying the cheese taco shells this weekend. I think the kids will love them.Dinner for me was a quarter of the steak burrito that I bought after the CT scan. I had not eaten since about 4 p.m. yesterday and was starving and craving Mexican. I didn't want Taco Bell, so I tried a new place in town. I will be back there again. I still have left overs for tomorrow, that thing was huge. suesinfl , did you end up making these? Unfortunately no, I was not really up to it, but will soon.

I went to see the cancer specialist to day. She is running more blood tests and a CT scan. There are spots on my stomach, liver, small intestine and colon. Tomorrow I'm having an out patient procedure done at the hospital to drain the liquid from my abdominal area and legs.
I'm also waiting to hear back from the gastro doctor it see if he can squeeze me in before the 20th of this month. I really need to go to work, since I was out all last week and I'm behind on my reports.

I HATE shopping, but since we have to eat, I grudgingly do it. Sometimes I'll write out my list and send DD. It' been years since I went to the mall, because I just can't stand crowds.
For clothes, I do go to the brick and mortar store, but for other stuff, it's all on line.
