Not to worry. It's just a muddy, slippery, track. I don't send horses to the dog food plant when the conditions are such that no horse can run well. But then, if the conditions get worse, such that no horses can run, I'm likely to sell my whole stable to someone else -- let him/her feed them until the track dries out.
I'll likely take up crocodile racing (negatively biased ETFs) -- though admittedly it's harder to find jockeys willing to ride crocodiles. Horses sometimes throw jockeys, but they don't eat them afterwards.
