@taz - how are you feeling? Feeling pretty good. The nausea has gone away for the most part. The food aversions for some foods is still here but definitely has lessen in the past couple of weeks. I’m 16 weeks today and Friday is my next appointment. Also for those that I’m friends with on FB, please no comments. It’s not public knowledge yet.

A friend did one of those $100 rent the theater packages for 20 people. We saw croods 2 - it was pretty funny and totally weird. I know I saw the first one years ago and liked it but don't remember more than that. Dd12 and dd8 both thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat in our own row and didn't order food so we left our masks on the whole time. Workers headed in right after us to clean the seats and they were taped over when we got there so they could tell what was used.
Thinking we will look in March and do it again for dd12 and friends as I felt safe enough. The overall theater was really empty esp for a sat. I think you can buy tickets for up to 25% occupancy.

Dd was invited to a bday party with this set up. We rsvp'd but I was still nervous, so glad to hear you felt comfortable.

What is everyone doing for activities? We're still trying for all outdoors, but we need something to get everyone moving.
C will do golf. They'll both do outdoor archery when available. I'm thinking of signing E up for lacrosse because she doesn't really know what it is enough to say she doesn't want to do it.
No one wants to do soccer. Tennis is in the bubble. Even swim lessons are all at indoor pools.

DD does gymnastics, which is indoors and one day a week. I really need to get her swim lessons too.

Carrot has been in swim team since last October. They shut it down for about 6 weeks starting around Thanksgiving due to governors orders, but they've been back now since the first week or so of January. There's just a few weeks left in this session and I haven't heard what the plans are after. If it's like normal it won't start up again until May.
I just got the info on the free golf camp running again this year which is two mornings a week in June and July. He didn't seem super excited, but said he'd do it. He hates lugging his golf bag but he's grown a lot since last summer so I don't think it will be as bad this year.
Summer camp for scouts is running in July and my oldest wants to go as well as an adult leader and take his brother. It ran last summer as well, so I'm pretty confident it will be on this year.

I picked up a bike from fb marketplace last night for myself - single speed, foot brakes, basket, cupholder, and bell in a super cute teal. The girls are saying it's totally old lady but I love it. I have a bike that I never ride because I cuss about figuring out the 10 speeds and forgot the hand brake. So hoping this is the year that my kids will ride. DD12 knows how. DD8 refuses to get off training wheels. Both girls whine constantly about it. Where are the days when kids rode for hours?!
We are going to try the neighborhood swim team for the first time. We can only swing it since I'll continue to wfh. Practices are every weekday morning June and July from 8-9 for younger and 9-10 for older. Read thru the rules and DD12 can walk them both down there without a parent - score! She's fully capable but there are so many rules these days. They are both kind of excited and going by themselves made them smile.
We're going to do our schools bball and vball camps as well as one other bball camp since we know that they've got strict rules in place.
We co-opted with a retired neighbor last year to give them painting lessons in their driveway in exchange for them helping with light yardwork. Both girls loved it, he spoiled them, and it's built a great relationship for our family.
We'll keep trying to do as much as we can outdoors as it gets warmer. Girls are already making lists for outdoor movies and friends to invite. We had showings Fri and Sat nights from April to Sept including a couple of double features with kids movies first and then guy movies for the dads after.
I saw a post for a local ice cream and smoothie truck looking for neighborhood jobs. I've got them scheduled for an afternoon in June - I only had to guarantee a $50 min order for the hour. I published it to our neighborhood moms fb site and will have no problem getting there.
Spring is coming, so I'm just trying to hang in there these last few weeks of on again, off again cold and dreary. Planning ahead is doing wonders for my mood.

We have the kids signed up for spring outdoor soccer, and a stem camp the second week of summer break. I'm also going to sign them up for a traditional type of camp for a week later in the summer, but still only for the days.
The kids only seem to want to stay inside and play video games, so I may sign them up for golf again. I'm not sure. They seemed to like it last year, but they don't want to do more. Maybe some more swimming lessons in the summer. I'd feel better if they became stronger swimmers.

Both our girls do gymnastics indoors. Two different studios and I like how both handle things we haven't had any issues. Gwen is in guitar and choir. She also does safety patrol.
Gwen wants to start orchestra and do choir again in middle school. I told her those are two major time commitments per what they sent home with us so if that's the case she may have to give up gymnastics at least for that year (we have to commit to the full school year). The rent for the cello she wants to play is going to be about what it costs for her to do gymnastics so it evens out.
We'll either keep Abby in gymnastics or let her do a dance class again if she wants. She needs something separate from Gwen. I think one activity is enough for a 6 year old. I bought into the idea that I had to let Gwen try EVERYTHING at least once and get "experiences" but that added up fast money wise. I am at peace with one/two activities at a time per kid.

C said he'd try lacrosse, so I'm hoping that, golf and swimming work out.
E wants to rock climb and I found an outdoor day camp for that I'll probably sign them her up for. Nothing for that throughout the summer outside, but I said we'd use that to pick new parks to try out on the weekends. I will probably have her try out lacrosse, but I'm not sure it will be a good fit.
Also thinking of doing a family tennis lesson or 2 that we could schedule at the outside courts. If we could learn some of the skill learning games they do in the kid lessons would be fun to do together.
I think I'm just about to lose it being so cooped up, and I want at least E and I to be in better shape when we can go back to martial arts.

E will ride or scooter for hours with her friends, but not on her own. I got a great bike last year and want to do more riding with the kids too. I need to work on some flat, low traffic paths to get us started. I love the outdoor movie night idea. I think Ill have to try for that.

Is anyone friends with Wisconsin Beth in RL or on Facebook? She hasn't posted in awhile and I'm worried. I hope it just means she is resting while getting better but this is 2021. ..

I'm really worried too. The next time she pops up, someone needs to get a phone number.
Can we track thru to her DH thru her fb friend list? I'm not friends with her or I'd look.

I had messaged her on February 16th on FB but haven’t heard anything.
I’m glad she responded to Oped’s post though on FB.

She replied on one of Oped's posts on Facebook just yesterday. Thank you for letting us know! I used to have her email from long ago but have never used it and wasn't sure if it was current. I have looked at her meal train website but there were no updates there either.

Different Beth on oped's post. I hope she's just laying low. I'm obviously not Facebook friends with her DH. None of the public posts I can see on his page say anything about it since her diagnosis.
