C saw a turtle on TV and ran to the other room where he remembered his costume was. He then pointed at it and said (in a sad voice) “No no turtle”. I guess just to be sure we had no dillusion that he woukd try it on later. That's hysterical!  How old is he now? I know time flies and I can't keep up, but I didn't realize he was talking already. He’ll be 20 months on the 6th. I can’t believe how fast it’s gone (and yet slow at the same time somehow) |

I don’t think he’s even open to wearing any of it. I tried calling it his turtle jammies, but he still wasn’t having it 😂 |

I can’t believe how fast it’s gone (and yet slow at the same time somehow) There's a saying I read somewhere in reference to raising kids, "The days are long, but the years are short". It is SO true. In hindsight, it seems like you blinked your eyes and your baby is starting school, you blinked again and they're going to high school, blinked again and they're graduating from college and moving away from home. And before you know it, your baby is all grown up with a family of his or her own and you're wondering "what the hell, where did the time go". But when you're in the thick of it, getting through the day by day when they're young, and hopefully trying to enjoy it as you go, it's hard to imagine that one day it'll seem like it all went by so fast. That's why I think parents should try to savor and enjoy each stage as it comes, as much as they can. It all changes so quickly even though it never seems like it at the time. |

And for clarity, she's wearing a full Elsa costume under the pink one, and she thinks that poster tube is a Japanese sword carried by superhero girl Katana. |

I need to set up a pinterest account. I always see the cutest stuff that people say they've found on there. Just be warned - I put a virus on my work computer when I was looking for fence ideas on Pinterest. Our IT person had to fix it. 
We did pretty much use the general idea I developed there.

DH and I went and voted tonight after picking up the kids. C seemed interested and liked getting to help me make selections on the touchscreen. Now here’s hoping we don’t elect the idiot running for governor who is an abysmal Sec of State and person (he’s the idiot who “advises” Pres Orange on immigration and voting fraud). Except that’s probably what’ll happen. 😕😡
