And now I'm trying to squelch a massive panic attack so my work doesn't smell weakness. I really miss my old lab right now. I could have hid with the animals.

I'm so sorry drama. You have every right to be furious. I'm not sure furious covers it.

I'm this close to losing it. Backed up to high hell at work with two people on vacation amd apparently every Omahan seeing the doctor before the end of the year. Then DH texts me to.tell.me he spent $120 on fucking pot. That equals all the overtime I worked last week and planned on using for a hoverboard for Gwen at Christmas. Blew my stack. Said mean things I'm not apologizing for because it's all true. I'm tired of being disrespected in both aspects of my life. I so did not need any of this. Can't cancel my interview because it's this or Monday and Mondays are a total no go for me. Time to put my HS acting skills to the test. Deep breath, deep breath. You can do this. And tell your DH he's a fucking asshole from me. WTH? You don't send anybody ANYTHING except good news on days they have interviews. Cute kittens, good wishes, the door for positive things is open. Everything else can wait till later!

Hugs Drama. Take a deep breath, clear your mind of the issues and focus on what you can control.

If anyone asks whats wrong, you say "Sorry, just got some annoying news from home." That's all. You can do this. We are behind you. You are smart and amazing and the company would be lucky to have you.

Yesterday I had a 1:30 meeting, 3pm meeting, 4 and 4:20 pm parent teacher conferences and Ben had soccer at 5:30.
After the parent teacher conferences, we got the book fair and then we were leaving and DH and the kids drove separate and I backed into someone else backing out in the parking lot. I put a scratch on her van. She was all I'm going to give this to my insurance agent and I was annoyed (trying to have some empathy, but I've been driving crappy cars for so long that it is really hard to care about a scratch). I called my insurance agent and she was super sympathetic and asked about damage to my car and when I told her that I could wipe the paint off my bumper with my finger she started laughing. So that made me feel better about the situation along with her comments about parking lots are generally equal fault.

I just told him either he quits today or he can go live with his parents. I'm done having my life revolve around his crap.

State farm said since their was no actual damage to either car it wasn't a big deal or going to hurt my rates.

You’ve got this drama, as everyone else said, deep, deep breaths. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth - also, try doing the ABCs in reverse.

Also, because it might make you laugh (maybe? hopefully?) I read your initial post and was like "Why did Drama's husband buy a $120 pot? You can get a decent pot at Target for like $25! Who needs a $120 pot Was it one of those ceramic-covered cast irons, or...?" Then I realized and it became a lot less funny. We can talk about this after your interview. Go back to your chemical list. Read your questions. Go scream-sing in your call all the way to the interview. Get your yayas out and then breathe. You got this.

I wanted to get close enough to figure out what they were, but I couldn't do that without being a creeper... (It also did not hurt that he was nice to look at otherwise as well.)

DH just changed guard jobs. I've been harassing him about his new schedule the last three weeks since I had a dental bone graft today and a follow up tomorrow. He just found out he is supposed to be working this weekend. Now my car is stranded up at the doctor's because he drove me home today and I was going to pick it up tomorrow. I have to figure out a ride and childcare for my appointment and he is mantrumming that they didn't give him sooner notice. My face hurts and this was supposed to be my chance to let him handle the kids. I have no sympathy.

I didn't know pot was legal by drama. Then again I only know Colorado and Canada are legal so clearly I'm out of the loop.
You got this Drama. We all have faith in you.
I took the day off because the kids have off. We got some of the winter clothing shopping done. Yay! I need a coat for K still. And need to check on mittens, hats and scarves.

I don't think it is, maybe that's why he paid so much for it, I can't even imagine how much weed you'd get for $120.00 I'm in a state where it is legal and the most I've seen someone spend is $45.00. Also, if he quits today that's gonna be a waste of $120.00

Either he got ripped off because he doesn't know market prices, or he bought, just... a very large amount.

This is what I was thinking, but I have no clue on prices, so I asked Ex 2.0 when he picked up Carrot. He said $120 was probably for a half an ounce.

$5 for one joint. According to my cousins who buy it for my dad with cancer. And he doesn’t smoke it. I had to give my mom recipes for extraction into oil for brownies.

It's ripped off he's buying it from my brother who buys it from a guy and I am pretty sure my brother keeps some of it. Don't get me started on how much that situation pisses me off. We are currently not speaking. I don't consider his apology an actual apology. I am out $120 regardless, he might as well have lit the bills in the backyard. I want him to make an actual choice for the first time in 14 years. Either own you are an addict and keep moving from vice to vice which will resultin divorce and living with his parents OR give up all the shit once and for all. 14 years is long enough to be "recovered" especially when I find out he never actually did. I am tired of the justification for pot and kratom being "Well at least it's not pain pills". Yeah and pain pills aren't crack how low are we setting the bar? I actually have no issues with pot itself. My issue is my addict husband who cannot do anything in moderation. I only take home an extra $500 a month with my new insurance premiums being so much higher and stuff. That is all money that could have gone to better purposes. I am tired of his shit running our lives.

BTDT and it completely sucks. I heard all the pot justifications too. I also could care less about it, but it's the addictive personality, nothing in moderation, and putting the current fix above everything else that got old.

Drama, I'm so sorry hon, not a thing justifies what he done. Buying it from your brother, well just too damn bad, no justification what so ever. Excuses is what it is for his addiction needs.
I would start telling him to pack his bags and go home to mommy.
I have addicts in my family, and I take no shit from them at all. I learnt as a kid that addicts can't be trusted. I caught them robbing my piggy bank to buy their dope, when I was 7 or 8. Mom knew about this and did nothing.
