If I still taught elementary school I could so see myself doing so if I had a sink in the room.

Both girls are at school. Got both on the bus. ODD already texted a few times to confirm her morning schedule. They are allowed to keep their cell phones with them this year, and use them during the homerooms and lunch times. As a teacher I have mix feelings, for ODD I think it will help and work well. So now we just enjoy the silent house.

Harper had her 4-year-old well check today. Boohoo!
From a tiny 5%-er, she is now 40.25 inches (58th percentile) and 33 pounds (38th percentile). I can't believe she is actually in the middle - she looks so much smaller compared to other 4-year-olds!
Three shots, which involved tears and yelling, but they were over in 15 seconds and after she calmed down, she said they weren't that bad. Umm, that's what I told you!

I'm not sure if I brought this up on this thread or not, but this summer when I went to register DS for summer care at the Y, the registration said he was eligible for a scholarship and it dropped the cost for the summer by about $400 (945 instead of 1350). I just decided to say "YAY!" and let it go. But now I registered him for after school care for this year and the same thing popped up! His rate is $115/month instead of $165. Now I'm starting to feel like I should go in and talk to someone about this, but no lie, I'm also kind of afraid they'll want back pay for the summer and I am STRAPPED the next couple months with all the back to school expenses and having to buy my LP for the year last week.

Why would their system be wrong? Because I never applied for financial aid! At first I wasn't sure what the whole "scholarship" thing was, but I'm looking into it more now and you have to fill out an application and bring in proof of income and dependents and everything. It's not like it's an automatic thing.

I see. I would probably ask about it, but maybe wait a few months when my cash flow was better, just in case...

I'm trying to think of why on earth Carrot would be included and a couple scenarios play out. One, his Dad applied for a reduced membership and lied on his application saying Carrot lived with him, or maybe my ex-SIL applied and Carrot was included in the slew of kids she has because of the same last name when they were going down checking the boxes or whatever they do in the system to turn on the discount.

Just pay the $165/month and if they say something tell them that is your rate. Don’t bring up the summer rate- they may not bring it up.

I don't pay them. They charge my credit card every month.

If you want to pay the higher rate then call them. Just don’t bring up the summer rate. If they do, play dumb. Oh you charged me the incorrect rate this summer? If you want to pAy them back, then ask for a payment plan starting in October.

I think you could argue out of back pay if they tried to collect. It's their error not yours.

So I'm in a conundrum. I'm one of the lucky 10-20% that experience debilitating muscle weakness tingling and numbing on mirtazipine.
Took me a few months to figure it out because it started in my boobs of all places.
Called to get the dose lowered. At least now I don't feel like I'm dying but it's not going away.
I want off but know not to cold turkey it. I currently have no insurance but I'm willing to pay cash to get in.
Called again and waiting for a response.
Frustrated because I like who I am mentally on it, so does everyone else.
But my hands are how I make my living. Limited mobility and pain are not a price I'm willing to pay.
Hopefully we can find something else or I need to look into non medication options like yoga.
Also have to pee constantly as I wean. Another fun side effect is water retention and now I'm passing three months of fluids. It's pretty impressive I could write a novel in the snow if I was a dude.
Just wanted to whine. This is a really bad time for me to figure all this out. I just have to slog thru it and hope I don't go cuckoo. I'm volunteering to do deliveries so I can get breaks from people and keep mobile. It's a nice bonus that my plan has me looking like a star pupil.

MLP- I would call the the ex and ask. If he uses the same place, I would think he filled out the application. Didn't he claim carrot on his taxes this past year? It may be that the pull the information form the tax return to see who qualifies as dependents for him. I would dig for more information before questioning it there.
Drama- Good luck in navigating and figuring things out.
MJ- how did it go?

Finally have my MRI scheduled. It is tomorrow at 7:30 AM. I wanted it early to get it over with. I'm not a huge fan of MRI's in general. I'm not normally claustraphobic but MRI's bring it out.

He does go to that Y and used to get free membership years ago, but I can't imagine how he would ever qualify now. I could totally see him lying on an application though if they don't verify. He doesn't claim Carrot on his taxes. He asked to a couple years ago, but I never agreed to it.

Its Aubree's birthday today. Did ok until the end of Meet The Teacher when we had to walk past the kinder classes on the way out. Went and picked up cupcakes and a balloon, and we ate the cupcakes first before dinner. I cant believe it's been 5 years.

Added to the poop pile. Gwen was supposed to spend the night at MILs but nobody told me they hadn't talked to her.
MIL.arrived and Gwen did not want to go. Gwen was really rude about it. After several days of snark I lost my temper and told Gwen to stop behaving like an asshole.
MIL left and then proceeded to call DH and lecture him about my bad parenting.
DH isn't mad at me. He knows how they've been with their attitudes and I'm going thru a lot. Still not cool but I'm human.
So there is that on top of feeling like shit and no clue what to do because my psych did not call me back. Found out a coworker dislikes me even though I've only been here three days and been nothing but cooperative helpful and nice. Miss my friends miss my clothes and I'm so fucking tired. It's hard not to think I made a big mistake.

New jobs are stressful and if it's any consolation, Ive told my kids they were being assholes before too. Nothing I'm proud of either, but it was true!

Hugs Sam. I can't imagine having to walk by that classroom today.
Hugs drama. Who cares if someone dislikes you? Do you have to work with this person a lot? In close proximity? If not, just be nice and helpful and hope to change his mind. Maybe you remind him of someone, maybe he has an ex with your name, maybe he sees you as competition, etc.
Hugs nuttin, good luck with the MRI tomorrow.

I don't really I was just taken aback at the rudeness. It doesn't cost much to be courteous to someone. I know why she dislikes me. My very first day she went on a rant about how they need to stop hiring people because there is now too much competition. There were also many remarks about how I "already know all this". There must have been talk before I arrived. While it is not clinical I outstrip her in working knowledge of just about every process in the lab despite her being one of the longest trainees. I know she's nothing. It was just one more thing on top of it all. Change is not easy for me to begin with. Her and MIL managed to push me over not that I'm going to let either one smell weakness. I'm also at my wits end over my antidepressant. I'm calling again tomorrow and complaining. You'd think a patient calling you nearly in tears because she has pain and numbness in her extremities and face would be a priority but apparently I was wrong. If I don't get a call tomorrow I'm going to talk to my pharmacist about how to wean off this shit and going solo.
