Thanks, I wasn't going to bother, but then the instructions weren't hard at all. Trouble is finding something. I'm not really that techie. I just use my cell as a phone, and maybe for a few pics/vids of the kids.

I prefer babycenter, but that is just because I am there a lot anyway. I don't know if will stick around this forum. It kind of hurts my eyes trying to read it.

I joined, though maybe my screen name should be jenna40, as I'm much closer to being 40-yr-old these days.

Why is it that my son will walk directly past my husband (who's sitting on the couch effing around on the computer) to ask me (who's got the baby on one hip trying to clean the kitchen from dinner) to do something simple, like get him some juice??? Why can't he just go to his father??? OK, back to regularly scheduled program. Rant's over.

Because mothers are seen as the only one's capable of doing anything. I would tell him, "Go ask your father."

kgb18 - That's what I've started doing! It still just irritates me along with the fact that dh can't take the initiative and ask ds "what do you need?"

That's just how men are. Well, at least most men. My DH is a wonderful guy, but he'll sit on the couch and watch me carry in bags upon bags of groceries and not get up to help.

I was just wanting to say HI. I use to post on WIR some with the GC thread and on EE. I'm not sure how much I will be on, but I have one DD who is 4, and we have one on the way due end of June.

Hi ladies, I am a lurker back from the msn boards and figured this would be a good time to finally join you! I've learned so much from you ladies and definitely didn't want to lose you when I heard the other boards were closing.
I'm 21 weeks pregnant right now with my first and we just found out it's a boy. Hopefully I can contribute and keep learning from you guys!

I'm here too! I think I prefer babycenter since I am on there semi-often, but this works too!

Geena and krr, I'm glad you made it over here. zbear, Weclome and congratulations! Obviously we're in flux right now transitioning the boards, but this group has been so helpful to me. I hope you'll find it just as helpful.

Hi, ladies - I am here. I have both this one and baby center, so let me know which we will use. Bundle really stinks - I didn't find it user friendly at all.

I have babycenter too, but mostly just lurk. I was so much more into the baby boards and all with DD, this time I'm just kind of like okay round two.

I've lurked on YM for many years. I have a DS4 and this year we're going to try for #2. I generally avoid a lot of the pregnancy/mommy boards because most of them are not very tolerant of differing viewpoints. I suspect that this one will be a lot less didactic.

Because mothers are seen as the only one's capable of doing anything. I would tell him, "Go ask your father." My DH is getting better at helping with the kids and around the house. I think it started when I went straight to bed after the kids went down for about 2 weeks straight, I was just exhausted. Still am, really. I didn't check out baby center and at this point, I'm not going to.

I checked out babycenter, but I am already done being pregnant and the site just didn't appeal to me. I like the community of new moms on WIR better. Hope this site lasts I hate to lose everyone!

I've just been lurking on MSN for several years. I'll be here a bit; I won't log on at work because "the rules". I have two girls who turn 8 and 13 in January. I also have two stepsons who are 20 & 22.
Happy New Year!!!

I haven't checked out baby center, either. I hope most people migrate to this site.

That's just how men are. Well, at least most men. My DH is a wonderful guy, but he'll sit on the couch and watch me carry in bags upon bags of groceries and not get up to help. When hubby comes home, I usually go out to see if he needs any help carrying stuff into the house. When I'm doing the shopping, I usually have to ask 2x to get the boys to help me bring in bags.

We are trying for #2 this year as well (planning to wait a few months, but soon). I used to be pretty active on the old site, but dropped off after baby girl got a bit bigger. I recognize a bunch of you, although I'm not sure many of you will remember me. I also find this group to be less judgmental than some others I have been on.

Meg checking in. I like this format better than BabyCenter personally because it's more like the old boards, but I'll go wherever the masses are . Hope everyone had a fun time ringing in the new year!

Hi All - I finally went ahead and logged on though I changed my screen name to sbcalimom instead of sbcaligirl since the "girl" is a tad outdated now . I like this one better than BabyCenter too but I'll go where the masses go too! Even though I don't post a ton, I really enjoy reading about everyone's little ones and have learned a ton! Now that DD is reaching the terrible twos I may have more questions too. Anyways, hope everyone had a great new year!

Hello Ladies,
Are we all now on this board or are some of you going to babycenter as well?

My daughter Kiani just turned 5 months on January 1st. Due to infertility issues we wanted to try again for baby # 2 asap. I think we are going TTC starting in February. Well I am blowing baby dust your way, hopefully you get pregnant soon.

Hi everyone! I was stuckinsand on the old board but decided to change my "name" since financially we're not as stuck as before. Just to re-introduce myself, I have a 4 1/2 month old DD and she's our first. I hope to be more involved in posting now. Happy new year!

Just out of curiosity, what does "Karma" refer to in our info on the left hand side?

kristi - that's one of the reasons I love this board so much. No judgement, just tons of help from everyone on here. Kristi and Ladyk - blowing lots of baby dust your way since you both will be TTC soon! I was wondering that too about the Karma. Not sure what it means... Hope everyone is having a good year so far. Work is going to be very busy this week. It's month, quarter AND year end closing of the books! Don't know how much I'll be able to post, but I'll try to check in on everyone as much as possible. Thinking about every one!
