Okay, part 3 now. Can't believe they would not let this lady speak. WHY??? I am so happy to just see that Obama is coming down against Syria for the attacks on Israel this weekend. I give him credit when I think he is right. Right is wrong, up is down, good is bad . . . Krickitt I must have subscribed to her youtubes they just showed up in my email. She is amazing. Would love to shake her hand. But you know she has challenged others to burn Korans. I've heard of many people offering to protect her, ex-soldiers, etc. But I'm not aware of anyone taking up her challenge. She is a truly, uniquely courageous woman.

I'll say. That part 3 laid it all out. Any Christian not willing to fight for Israel is not a Christian. Awesome lady. You know, I had a chance a few weeks ago to post a "liberal" church I used to attend in an argument with Kreepy about religion. I learned while doing that that I will never again go to that church that I used to love. It is a Methodist church, and anti-Israel. Seems being inclusive of gays, etc, also means being anti-Israel. THAT is not Christian.

You can see by Lakhota's plethora of anti-Semitic hate links how the establishment left feels about Jews. Therefore, American Jews who align themselves with the left are aligning themselves with anti-Semitism. A vote for Barack Obama in 2012 is a vote for anti-Semitism...

Yep, and they don't see it that way. They see Israel's attempts to defend herself as terrorist activities. Much like AZ is seen as some sort of racist state terrorizing illegals. Odd thinking.

Here is another debka article, current, today, referring to the Golan and the entering of Israeli controlled territory by Syrian civilians but unlike the previous one that I have posted, this one, feel the opinions, remember these are opinion pieces, what debka is about, though very good in that and very right on on predictions, I find fault with , their ideas of and conclusions, basically IMHO over all the ideas expressed, they suck, again IMHO. Debka suggests that a mistake that there was not many troops on the border and heavy resistence by a hard military presence that was not meted out to those who crossed the border was a mistake. I disagree , in fact I agree with authoritys who made the decisions that if there were heavy forces present a real catastrophy would have taken place. ---------------------------------------------------- Spokesman for the government claimed : " It was fortunate that we undermanned the Syrian border, they said, otherwise the incident would have ended with hundreds of dead." --------------------------------------------------- debkas idea of what should have been the reaction , what really happened and in my opinion over reaction of what they would have ordered if in command: ----------------------------------------------------- "The claim that Iran was behind the massive incursion convinced no one. The Syrian interlopers were finally driven back across the border – not by Israeli troops – but by local Druze chiefs. Israel still does not know how many left and if any remained." ------------------------------------ and the worst idea... ------------------------------------ "It is to be regretted that the IDF did not meet its fundamental duty to defend Israel's Golan border by bringing up large reinforcements to surround Majdal Shams, seal the Syrian border and shoot trespassers. The Syrians should not have been released but held until Damascus forced the Hamas to free the Israeli soldier Gilead Shalit." ----------------------------------------------- Hamas captured Shalit, they are not in Syria or Lebonon, in Gaza, it's Hezballah in Lebonon, and mass shooting of civiliens, an this article suggests should have taken place, , IMHO, really sucks. As far as the rest of the article, thinking the next step for Assad , if he can get a handle around his own problems on the uprising in his country against his reign, and then sends his troops, tanks against the Golan, I believe there will be heavy Israeli forces there and there will be no hesitation to use all the force needed to defend and win, leaving no doubt that the area will be defended heavily. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- www.debka.com/article/20936/----------------------------------------------------------------- [Click on link to read article] ------------------------------------------------------- More in store from Syria after easy breach of Israel's Golan border DEBKAfile Special Report May 15, 2011, 7:27 PM (GMT+02:00) "Israel's enemies breached three of its borders in an operation that caught its government, army and intelligence napping. Their reaction to the massive violation of its Syrian, Lebanese and Gaza borders showed all three to be muddled and incapable of an organized, rational tactical response to a multiple security crisis. This weakness ("maximum restraint"), which was no doubted noted in Tehran, Damascus, Beirut and Ramallah, may be expected to lead to the next Syrian step to recover the Golan – not this time by thousands of civilians, but by military and terrorist forces. debkafile's military sources report that the Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, the chief of staff and his deputy, instead of dropping their routine occupations and taking charge of the crisis, preferred to make light of it. Local commanders, left to handle extreme situations developing at high speed during the day, were reluctant to assume responsibility for the weighty decisions called for. This weakness, which was no doubted noted in Tehran, Damascus, Beirut and Ramallah, may be expected to lead to the next Syrian step to recover the Golan – not this time by thousands of civilians, but by tough military and terrorist forces."

I pretty much agree with Debka on this, Dez. If Israel shows weakness now they are dead. FAR better for Israel to take this on on their own soil, rather than an invasion that would draw other countries in, don't you think? Sounds like WWIII to me. Best to not go there.

There was no danger of taking over the Golan, the village they entered, the demonstrators, and also where debka criticized the Druze for moving them back over the border, they would use restraint, to use combat troops, they are not trained in crowd control, they are trained to kill and defeat the enemy. To suggest that now Syria and others feel , "Aha, the Israeli's confused , weak, send in the troops to take back what was lost, once the military restraints are off, as they are on in facing civilians, a irritant, against troops, no constraints, it becomes war, a battle. IMHO.

Have you ever considered that some people want peace, and that doesn't mean theyre anti-Israel (and saying they're "anti Jew" is in bad taste btw). When we get out of this gd pub depression, it's time to buy them both out- it's cheaper than this incredidible never ending tragedy- and that includes the whole ME. Build a port for Gaza, a tunnel to the West Bank, and turn Jerusalem into a Holy Land theme park run by Norwegians and Indonesians and maybe Mormons LOL! I don't think you could be more disrespectful, if you tried. Shame on you.

Just so some might think I don't have feelings for the plight of the Palestinians and do have questions for the Israeli Government, this article shows what to me, if the facts ARE as reported, and that is the problem , we don't know, but say they are exactly as reported, no dramatics, no propaganda, in the case of these three young people, why were they killed. To go to a fence, as was reported , place a flag that is of importance to the ones participating on the fence, barbed wire , to yell and curse the troops facing him, if they did, not reported, to throw rocks at the troops, not reported done by these three but even if done, why were they shot. IF he/they crossed the line, unarmed , approached the troops, in anger, if he did, concern of martyrdom, suicide vest, I could understand possible deadly force. If 100's at once crossed the fence and rushed the troops, then in fear of being over run, weapons lost , lives in danger, then I could understand, regrettable but one has a right to defend oneself, but here, from what was reported , if true, does not seem to be the case. I am not supporting the cause of the Palestinians, but if they feel they have to demonstrate against what they feel is the stealing of their land, the current situation they find themselves in, and they get their frustrations out by approaching the boundaries of the land they feel belongs to them, and voice their frustrations against those they believe are the occupiers of that land, as long as they are just demonstrating , making noise, throwing rocks, hurtling epitaphs at those facing them, to lose their lives for those actions? No, not necessary and if the report is correct, we don't know that, then these deaths were not necessary. That those who stayed safely out of the line of fire, the ones who were responsible in working the crowds up, using face book, twitter, media to egg on these demonstrators, but made sure they were not there to keep the emotions of the participants under control, help them to control their emotions, actions, direct hem to safely demonstrate, who actually were hoping for something like his to happen, IMHO, I believe they welcome some casualties, the publicity, the drama, they too are as guilty of causing these deaths as those who fired on these people. -------------------------------------------------------------------- www.dailystar.com.lb/News/Politics/2011/May-16/Palestinians-prepare-to-bury-Nakba-Day-dead.ashx#axzz1MYHgjrhH------------------------------------------------------- [click on link to read article] ------------------------------------------------------ TUESDAY, 17 MAY 2011 12:37 AM Beirut time Beirut Emotional Palestinians bury Lebanon Nakba Day victims May 16, 2011 12:28 PM (Last updated: May 16, 2011 08:32 PM) By Mohammed Zaatari The Daily Star SIDON, Lebanon: Grief-stricken Palestinians in Ain el-Helwi refugee camp held funerals for their loved ones Monday, a day after Israeli troops shot dead 11 protesters on the Lebanese border with the Jewish state. "All work stopped in Lebanon’s southern Palestinian camps to make way for mourners who gathered in their thousands to bid farewell to Imad Abu Shakra, 18, Abdel Rahman Said Sobhi, 20, and Mohammad Abu Shleeh, 28, three of those who had been slain in Sunday’s events. Similar funerals were held in Al-Bass and Burj Al-Shamali camps near the southern port city of Tyre. Israeli troops Sunday shot dead 16 people and wounded hundreds more as Palestinians marched on its borders with Gaza, Lebanon and Syria, as part of commemoration of the Nakba - the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948. On the Lebanon border, 10 protesters, all Palestinian refugees, were killed by Israeli gunfire and more that 100 were wounded. A critically wounded protester died Monday, raising the death toll to 11, security sources said. Protesters had taken part in Nakba Day commemorations in the south border town of Maroun al-Ras, some of whom had descended to the fence separating the two countries and pelted stones at Israeli troops. In Ain el-Helwi, the bodies of Abu Shakra, Sobhi and Shleeh were held up high by procession members, who also carried banners and chanted slogans reflecting their deep longing for their loved Palestine. The men had “sacrificed their lives for the right to return,” read one banner, “We will fight, we will die, we will return to Palestine,” read another. With tears running down his face, Abu Shakra’s younger brother, Mohammad, said that the cause of Palestine was worthy of his elder brother’s brutal death. “Why did you stop me from going with you [to the protest]? You didn’t want me to see you die,” the emotional young man said. “You have made us all proud.”

I have a question, that seems, to even me, to be a sign of pure ignorance. Why do we send aid to Israel? Aren't they a somewhat prosperous nation?

I have a question, that seems, to even me, to be a sign of pure ignorance. Why do we send aid to Israel? Aren't they a somewhat prosperous nation? Because the quantity of money that needs to be spent militarily is more then a small country, which is reasonably prosperous can afford. The equation for Jews that have a problem with Israel is self evident MOST Jews are liberal and MOST liberals have a problem with Israel and their treatment of Palestinians. For them it is simplistic the governed must be defended no matter what their behavior is.

My question would be more along the lines of why do we send money to Pakistan, that does not like us, but allows us to use their space for our operations in Afghanistan. Same could be said of Israel- we need a partner in the ME. But for those of us with Christian backgrounds it goes beyond money to a protective feeling for the Jews in Israel. I would think that after the Holocaust that should be true for all people, regardless of religious beliefs, but not so.

KRICKER: I am just learning about politics. The subject never interested me in the past. There's so much deceit that I can't seem to handle it. I seem to have a low thresh hold on the amount of deceit I can handle.
The unrest in the ME has my attention for the same reasons it has yours. But, thank you for the information about Pakistan. I can see how we need a friend in the ME. I don't even want to know what will happen if our country becomes an enemy of Israel.

frug-- a few years ago I was a strictly social poster. In '08 the rumbling on even the social boards sparked my interest. It is very confusing, but if you stick around, google the things you question, google some more and more and more-- you will get comfortable with politics. I've learned a lot. Never too late to learn, if you have the time. I found myself able to have real opinions on things I never really thought much of before. It does take time and research and it never ends. Good luck.

'Die Welt': Iran building rocket bases in Venezuela By BENJAMIN WEINTHAL, JPOST CORRESPONDENT 05/17/2011 01:41 German paper says Iranians paid cash to build mid-range missile launch pads on Paraguana Peninsula; Iranian engineers visited site in Feb. BERLIN – The Iranian government is moving forward with the construction of rocket launch bases in Venezuela, the German daily Die Welt wrote in its Friday edition. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is Teheran’s most important South American ally. Iran is building intermediate- range missile launch pads on the Paraguaná Peninsula, and engineers from a construction firm – Khatam al-Anbia – owned by the Revolutionary Guards visited Paraguaná in February. Amir al-Hadschisadeh, the head of the Guard’s Air Force, participated in the visit, according to the report. Die Welt cited information from “Western security insiders.” The rocket bases are to include measures to prevent air attacks on Venezuela as well as commando and control stations. The Iranian military involvement in the project extends to bunker, barracks and watch tower construction. Twenty-meter deep rocket silos are planned. The cost of the Venezuelan military project is being paid for with Iranian oil revenue. The Iranians paid in cash for the preliminary phase of the project and, the total cost is expected to amount to “dozens of millions” of dollars, Die Welt wrote. The Paraguaná Peninsula is on the coast of Venezuela and is roughly 120 kilometers from America’s main South American partner, Columbia. According to Die Welt, the clandestine agreement between Venezuela and Iran would mean the Chavez government would fire rocket at Iran’s enemies should the Islamic Republic face military strikes. Meanwhile the German press agency (DPA) reported on Friday that Germany will not contest the placement of the Hamburg- based European- Iranian Trade Bank (EIH) on the EU sanctions list at the end of the month. The US Treasury Department sanctioned the EIH last year, saying it was one of the most important institutions in Europe for financing Iran’s missile and nuclear proliferation programs. Germany was the subject of criticism from American, French, British and Israeli officials because it refused to shut the EIH. The EIH plays a crucial role in facilitating financial transactions for midsize German firms that are active in Iran. German- Iranian total trade amounted to over 4 billion euros in 2010, making German Iran’s No. 1 EU trade partner. www.jpost.com/International/Article.aspx?id=220879

I attended a Methodist church when I was a child and I can tell you the whole thing changed in about 1965. Everything changed. I was not even a teenager yet and I recognized the sinister nature of the change. Good pastors were being retired I guess if they didn't go along. The pastor I'd always known was not that old and he suddenly retired to be replaced with a man who did not even pretend to preach the Bible. It became about social justice. I left that church and it took me many years to find another. My parents were lapsed Catholics and didn't go to church.

Yeah. I was baptized Methodist as a baby, attended alone with my little brother as a child because my Mom was not really religious but wanted us to have some kind of base. It was good when I was little. I had no idea they had changed so much. Oh, well.. I've been baptized so many times I should be good to go if I can just behave. ;D How about those Iranian missiles aimed at us from Venezuela?? REAL good news. All Iran has to do is call out and Chavez will start shooting. Yeah-- setting up to take Israel down..

krickitt-Dezi has stated he is Jewish. Do you believe Dezi dislikes Israel and the Jewish people? Of do you think Dezi might believe this war has gone on long enough and the two groups need to sit their butts down and make peace with each other once and for all. Both sides need to stop antagonizing each other with their actions. I personally think it is the later and so does most of the world. I never saw a post where he stated he was Jewish, but now I understand him a little better knowing this fact. I did not really understand his pro-Israel stand here at P&M. It always seemed out of character with his political leanings. Since Dezi is liberal, a little to the left, , his stance with Israel was an area of world politics where he actually had a much more feeling of a Conservative, a little to the right. Now I understand his posting so many Middle East links, as this was an area of vast concern for him, and did not really necessarily follow thru on his political feeelings, but more about his personal feelings. I think I understand him much better now.

I think I understand him much better now. apreciate that value , a bit of where I am coming from, actually if my ex had only, "I think I understand him much better now."[sigh]..actually just joshing..seriously. I actually , as far as being Jewish, thought it was or possible might had been apparent to be honest, for some reason. It's no biggie really, never has been except for a few times as a kid, and thats natural when your brought up in a area where there aren't many of... I think the mistakes many non have is, that Jews are usually more liberal, not all, hell my son is a conservative, wants Reagon to come back from the ...but more are then are not. Some liberals are upset with Israel, emotionally, they see how Palastinians and Israeli confront themselves, Israeli as a Army, tanks, planes and Palastinians none of that, and with civiliens in the way, they are affected , so they get up set..not to get into the problems of urban warfare, it is a war..so while they might support Israel they also get P at things. Jews being liberal , most, get painted with the same paint brush, my big arguments of the past with ed, but when it comes to support for the State, no question, we support it. {I know Krickett you know one who doesn't but as I said, there is always one or two in anything} This will be solved when both parties feel they want to..outside forces, can help . but final solving, will be up to them. Hopefully, well..the next year should interesting.

Obama to come down on Assad, possible , in fact most likely , sanctions. He also will authorize allowing charges to be brought by Int, Atomic energy agency nuclear committee that Syria had been attempting to develop Nuclear Weapons, reactor destroyed by Israel. Expect possible some incursions and military action against Israel to make Israel uncomfortable because of this decision by the POTUS, risk that has to be taken. These actions are coming about because of the uncovering of three mass graves, men, woman, children, shot in the head uncovered, all assumed from security forces of Assad security forces. Suggested over 1000 Syrian deaths, civilians since Syrian demonstrations have started by Assad's forces. ------------------------------------------------------------ www.debka.com/article/20940/ Obama to get tough with Assad. Syrian-Israeli flare-up expected DEBKAfile Exclusive Report May 17, 2011, 11:10 AM (GMT+02:00) US Ambassador Robert Ford recalled before warming his seatdebkafile's Washington sources report exclusively that President Barack Obama has finally resolved to stamp down hard on Syrian President Bashar Assad in person as the man responsible for the inhuman Syrian crackdown on protest against his regime and the massacre of hundreds of dissenters. Before his much-awaited speech on US relations with Middle East Muslim nations Thursday, May 19, Obama is preparing to impose sanctions on the Syrian president. The White House is working on the final text of the announcement but has already decided to recall the newly-appointed US Ambassador to Damascus Robert Ford for consultations. An American ambassador was last recalled from Damascus in 2005. It took five years for Obama to appoint Robert Ford to the post in late 2010. The administration has also decided to authorize the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna to report to the UN Security Council that Syria was building a plutonium reactor for military purposes at Deir A-Zour, which it was bombed by Israeli in September 2007. Damascus has refused to cooperate with the nuclear watchdog in making the site available for inspection. The IAEA is therefore urged to seek the same Security Council for Syria as those imposed on Iran for its nuclear activities. Barack Obama was finally convinced that Assad must be stopped without delay by the horrifying discovery of five hastily-dug dug mass graves near the protest center of Daraa in southern Syria. They containing scores of bodies of men, women and children shot in the head. This raised the civilian death told from Assad's savage three-month crackdown on dissent well past 1,000. It is taken into account, debkafile's military sources report that tough American measures targeting Assad will bring forth heightened Syrian-Israeli border tensions, potentially in the form of a limited Syrian military strike into Israel or Lebanon or both. Indeed his cousin Rami Makhlouf threatened that instability in Syria would cause instability in Israel. The expectation of trouble to come was strengthened by the information reaching Washington that Syrian military intelligence and Ahmed Jibril's PFL-General Command had organized the forcible crossing of the Israeli border on the Palestinian Nakba (Catastrophe) Day, Sunday, May 15, of thousands of Palestinians streaming out of the camps in which they are held near Damascus. The operation was also synchronized with the Lebanese Hizballah. According to this information, Syria and the PFL-GC are planning another mass incursion in the same format for June 5, the 44th anniversary of the 1967 War, when Syria lost part of the Golan after attacking Israel. In advance of the event, the Israeli Defense Forces and Lebanese army have reinforced the units guarding their borders and are on a high state of preparedness. The IDF's engineering corps has embarked on a crash operation for building a proper defense system with physical obstacles along the 220-kilometer Israeli-Syrian border in place of the fragile fence that crowds of Palestinians trampled on May 15. Washington's impatience with Syria was evident in the harsh tone of the White House rebuke of Syria as "inciting protests on the Golan Heights" and therefore responsible for the clash and loss of life which resulted: "The Jewish state has the right to prevent unauthorized crossing at its borders," said White House spokesman Jay Carney Monday. The White House's allusion to Israel's borders in the Golan context was deliberate, our Washington sources report. It signposted Barack Obama's intention to emphasize the importance the US attaches to Israeli border security as a matter of policy when he meets Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu at the White House Friday, May 20 and again when he addresses the conference of the US-Israeli lobby AIPAC Sunday, May 22. According to our sources, too, the US President has no intention of outlining a Middle East peace plan for dictating to Israel in his address to the Muslim world Thursday, May 19. This suggestion which is the subject of heated debate in Israel did not originate with US administration sources but political opposition elements at home which have an interest in pushing the Netanyahu government to the wall -------------------------------------------------------

Good for Obama. If he does not stand in support of Israel, even if he cloaks it in a crackdown on Syria for other reasons, he is no POTUS. The US does not turn on Israel, even though many Americans wish we would. Accusing Israel of not taking part in peace talks is RIDICULOUS with all those weirdo tyrants over there and their unstable govt's. Like Net said the other day, "Who would I talk to?" Nope. Daily life in Israel is about self defense on all fronts. Unimaginable to me.

The sun may not be the only thing heating things up come summer......how often have foreign "adventures" been used by governments in trouble to "distract" their restive populations?

True. I try to keep up with global things since this big push for NWO crud is going on, but yes, many distractions, inside and outside. I notice it when people start really important threads and I wonder-- How did I not know this??
