Probably about as many who people say they are not married... but are! And what is the deal with men who don't wear wedding rings? Although some cannot (such as my mechanic ex-bf who said that he wouldn't because he could be injured) there are a lot that chose not to wear a wedding ring. My DH never wears his ring. He doesn't wear any jewelry. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with me, it's just that he doesn't like to wear it. I'm also about 99.99% sure he's not cheating on me.

There are a lot of professions where one can endanger themselves wearing rings. My dad nearly lost a finger when his wedding ring got caught on a plane and he was a boom operator in the AF. His ring is in 2 pieces - it had to be cut off of him when they stitched up his ripped finger.

DH can't wear his wedding ring at work and we have discovered it doesn't fit anymore. Since he can't wear it we are not in a hurry to replace it. Like swamp said I know he is married and he knows it. If we need him to wear his ring to keep him from cheating on me . .. we probably should not be married.

"is infidelity actually socially accepted these days?"
Goodness, I hope so!
*sigh* I guess I'm only kidding. Hey, how do you quote stuff and get the boxes around it?

"I think it's the "foresaking all others" part... Oh, he wouldn't be giving me up. He'd still be mine."
FORSAKING all others, not fucking all others. Put your glass on, woman.

Ok, trying to understand LA's point here... if her DH wants to screw around she'll let him because of their VOWS??? soooooooo...... if I decide I want DH AND some other guy for husbands then DH should be OK with that because he exists solely to make me happy and whatever makes ME happy will be OK with him? ?? Really?

Look in the upper right corner and you will see "Quote" on each post. It will put the entire text in the box for you, but you can edit it once it does.

I decide I want DH AND some other guy for husbands then DH should be OK with that because he exists solely to make me happy and whatever makes ME happy will be OK with him??? Really? Woo hoo! DH asked me once if I'd let him have sex with Halle Berry. I told him I would. After all what are the odds and if she DID approach him why should I take away the once in a lifetime moment? Course the idea that I then get to sleep with a celebrity of my choosing did not go over so well.

Of course you told him you would. Everyone is okay with something they assume will never ever happen. It's meaningless. Either it's okey-dokey if your SO screws around or it's not.

If he likes the ring, or if it matches the one you have, it would be easier (and probably cheaper) just to have it re-sized for him to wear when the mood strikes him.

The minute I say "my husband would never cheat on me" is the minute he taps someone else. I'm pretty sure he isn't, but I'm not with him 24/7, and nor do I want to be. He's free to stick it where he wants, but every action has consequences.

We keep meaning to get around to it, we are unsure if it can be resized because I bought him a stainless steel ring.
I got him a inexpensive gold band for our anniversary that has DD's birth date in it, he generally wears that now because it fits and if it gets damaged somehow it's no big loss.

"The minute I say "my husband would never cheat on me" is the minute he taps someone else."
I think this is so true! You invite trouble when you start to talk about how your spouse would "never" cheat, or how you two are the happiest couple in the whole wide world.
