Woke up, fell out of bed, Dragged a comb across my head Found my way downstairs and drank a cup, And looking up I noticed I was late. Found my coat and grabbed my hat Made the bus in second flat Found my way upstairs and had a smoke, and Somebody spoke and I went into a dream

Do you really believe in all this May 21st bs. If it doesn't happen on the 21st of May, then what will your faith be then? You have been conned by the biggest charlatans in the world next to our politicians.

Kreepy Krawler-I don't believe too many Christians believe May 21 is the be all-end all date. This Harold Camping fellow is just another cult leader like Jim Jones, David Koresh, Fred Phelps and Marshall Applewhite.

You have been conned by the biggest charlatans in the world next to our politicians. 1. I am agnostic, I know that there is a god, just that he is a petulant child that I can have no "relationship" with. 2. No one knows when the world will end, I personally believe it will happen due to extreme magnetic disruption caused by man trying to travel into space stopping the rotation of the world and casting us off the planets back, or that the sun could simply stop shining and freeze us out in a matter of hours. Now really, I do not know when or how the world may end and I really do not care, what I find ridiculous is that it's okay to bash a Christian for what he believes but any other type of religion is off limits on this board, If i start talking about Jihadist Muslims the side slamming Christianity will be spouting off the fact that it's just a little subsection of what Muslims believe, yet get a crazy Christian preacher and it is indicative of all Christians. It's disgusting too me and I am not even a Christian.

I know hundreds of christians. I'm a christian. And none of us think that the determination of the return of Christ can be discerned via some cockamamie mathematical formula, especially when the christian bible specifically states that "no one" will know the hour or day of Christ's return.

The term agnostic was fittingly coined by the 19th-century British scientist Thomas H. Huxley, who believed that only material phenomena were objects of exact knowledge. He made up the word from the prefix a-, meaning "without, not," as in amoral, and the noun Gnostic. Gnostic is related to the Greek word gnsis, "knowledge," www.thefreedictionary.com/agnostic Just to play with the word, I think this is an oxymoronic statement.

You believe that calling my self agnostic and stating that I know there is a god is an oxymoronic statement? I believe that there is a higher power out there that holds things together, I also believe that he doesn't give a second thought to those of us who live on the 3rd rock from the sun. I do not hold anyone liable for what they believe or do not believe. Many people believe different fairy-tales, it is their right and choice. I am not a Christian as I do not believe what is written in the bible, I am not an Atheist as I do acknowledge the existence of a god or gods, Thomas Henry Huxley defined the term: Agnosticism is not a creed but a method, the essence of which lies in the vigorous application of a single principle... Positively the principle may be expressed as in matters of intellect, do not pretend conclusions are certain that are not demonstrated or demonstrable Apathetic or Pragmatic agnosticism The view that there is no proof of either the existence or nonexistence of any deity, but since any deity that may exist appears unconcerned for the universe or the welfare of its inhabitants, the question is largely academic en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgnosticismWould be the proper place to classify myself, as we seem to have to classify Werther we are Christian, Jew, Atheist or Muslim.

.. You believe that calling my self agnostic and stating that I know there is a god is an oxymoronic statement?.... First off, I intentionally took your name of the quote in an attempt to not make it personal. Secondly I noted "(j)ust to play with the word, ..." with intentionality also. For me, the word agnostic is one of those that has been stretched out to cover so many different things that it has lost usefulness. I just like to take the term back to its "roots". The specific statement quoted (kinda) says, "not know- do know" which is oxymoronic by definition of the term. I realize in contemporary common usage of the term, that the way you use it is accepted.

Is there a dress code, or is just come/go as you are? In my version of heaven, we'll all be naked. And look much better than we do now.

Last night my husband noted that there are only 10 days left. I thought about it and told him I would like to spend those last 10 days watching reruns of bad television shows that I may or may not like very much. He thought it was an excellent plan.

Harold Camping lets out a hearty chuckle when he considers the people who believe the world will end in 2012. "That date has not one stitch of biblical authority," Camping says from the Oakland office where he runs Family Radio, an evangelical station that reaches listeners around the world. "It's like a fairy tale." The real date for the end of times, he says, is in 2011. The Mayans and the recent Hollywood movie "2012" have put the apocalypse in the popular mind this year, but Camping has been at this business for a long time. And while Armageddon is pop science or big-screen entertainment to many, Camping has followers from the Bay Area to China. Camping, 88, has scrutinized the Bible for almost 70 years and says he has developed a mathematical system to interpret prophecies hidden within the Good Book. One night a few years ago, Camping, a civil engineer by trade, crunched the numbers and was stunned at what he'd found: The world will end May 21, 2011. Man Spent Life Savings To Spread Word That World Will End This MonthRobert Fitzpatrick does not lack conviction. The 60-year-old ex-MTA employee has plunked down $140,000, his life savings, to help spread the word that the world will end on May 21, 2011. "I'm trying to warn people about what's coming," Fitzpatrick told the Daily News. "People who have an understanding [of end times] have an obligation to warn everyone." Fitzpatrick spent his money on 1,000 placards on subway cars and several more on bus shelters around the city. They read: "Global Earthquake! The Greatest Ever - Judgment Day: May 21." The retiree's beliefs are based on the predictions made by Harold Camping, who claims the rapture will take place on May 21. Fitzpatrick said the cataclysmic event will happen just before 6 p.m. Eastern. Camping made a similar world-ending prediction in 1994, but he admitted he got his calculations wrong that time. Fitzpatrick said he has no doubt that Camping's latest proclamation is correct. www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/13/robert-fitzpatrick_n_861529.html

Yeah, billis, ya gotta love 'em. I do worry, though, about what is going to happen to guys like this on May 22nd. He's spent his life-savings doing what he thought was right. What's he going to do when the world keeps right on turning? It's a sad thought, for me.

I am just certain that Camping will cover the financial side and pay for a little counseling for the guy if he is still on the planet on the 22nd.

So he is a biblical expert. The funny thing is that the supposed Rapture is no where in the Bible. Also the Mayans never predicted the world would end in 2012. They prodicted that there would be major changes in the world not it's demise.
