I'd like to see the Florida Everglades and the Florida Keys. Well then, just do it. The keys are beautiful. The glades....eh, it's swamp....what do you expect? Lots of critters that can put a hurtin' on you and mosquitoes large enough to carry away a small child. My BIL wants to do a gator hunt so one of these days I'll have to research it and try to set something up. screw the gators we need them, take him on a python hunt, those suckers hide really well. If people keep releasing them into the glades it could become our own version of Python vs.Gator (ridiculous SciFi movie from years ago), for top of the food chain.

Molly, what are your thoughts of the Redwood forests in California? Family vacation driving thru the forest. About the most awe inspiring natural wonder I have ever seen. I love the Sequoias and Redwoods! (We live about 1.5 hours from three National Parks: Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks, to be precise.) My mother has family out there and they flew me out for the summer in 1980 (Pamona / Claremont area...I loved it that grandma had "her own mountain - Mt. Baldy). We did the drive from southern CA all the way up to northern OR to see the (still) smoking Mt. St Helen's. I was just a young'un but I still remember Yosemite, the redwood forests, Big Sur, San Joaquin Valley, grapevine hill, Disneyland, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz....and family, from aunts/uncles to distant cousins, all along the way. I loved it. Close to the ocean and the mountains.

Gator vs. python ends in gory draw A snake that tried to swallow an alligator in Everglades National Park found out that gators don't go down easy. www.sptimes.com/2005/10/06/State/Gator_vs_python_ends_.shtml

Cooling period my butt. The Pubs are the only party in the modern world that doesn't believe in global warming. Absolute bought off idiocy and ignorance. You might as well finish out the statement. Republicans also don't believe in Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny or Obamacare.

You might as well finish out the statement. Republicans also don't believe in Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny or Obamacare. I'm not a pub, but I drank at one this past weekend. I believe in global warming. I also believe in global cooling. Honestly, I don't see how one can deny the existence of either since the globe has been warming and cooling all by itself for four and a half billion years. There's really no denying the existence of global warming and cooling. The thing I don't believe is that we have the ability to stop the globe from warming and cooling.

burns did you ever bother to read the CoC? Which, i might add, happens to come from proboards itself?

your behavior absolutely floors me.. i simply don't get what makes you believe that you are so superior to others.. you'd better make a strong case for yourself because i haven't seen one redeeming quality in you YET. and don't give me some bullshit about it being a joke.. that's not stuff you joke about.

Is human action exacerbating it to the degree we should alter our behavior? With nearly 7 billion people on the planet, I'd imagine to some degree we do. Besides improving air, water and soil quality, our environmental laws already do alter our behavior.

Of course it wasn't a joke Ms. moonbeam. The fact is that I value the lives of animals more than people who treat them the way we see in most third world countries. You think that is "racist"? I think not but that is your call.

yes burns, i DO see that as racist, as well as just generally rude.. no one should ever wish for an entire group of humans to die. you cannot judge all of them as evil just because *some* of them are..
you are not helping your case here.

Women who pay tons of money to have their breasts enlarged should beware. Being naturally busty isn’t always easy. In fact, it can be a burden. Just ask natural beauties Jessica Simpson and Dolly Parton. The two big busted blondes commiserated over the pain of having large breasts over Twitter.“Aahhh chiropractor… Hurts so good :-) you lug these around and see if your back don’t hurt!,” Dolly tweeted. “Amen sister ,” longtime fan and fellow rack-lugger Jessica responded on her Twitter account. Plus Jessica has had to endure constant public scrutiny and embarassing moments like when her dad Joe Simpson told GQ magazine, “She’s got double D’s! You can’t cover those suckers up!” Hey! Google seems to have changed its image protocol.

My favorite thing about the Everglades is the wonderful scent, it smells beautiful in the fall. My least favorite part, my husband kept wanting to pet alligators.

Rude? It is beyond rude. That is a given. However I really don't see it as being racist. It is not my fault third world countries (where most of the abuse takes place) are made up of non-caucasians. Concerning my "remedy", I don't see it as promoting hate either. A pandemic is a natural occurrence and one of that scale would reach our shores as well. I just hope I and everyone I know would survive.

to wish a pandemic on a country is morally reprehensible burns and you know it.. or you *should*. i'm just not certain you have any morals so maybe that's the problem.

I'd say representing a pandemic as "the great hope" is not indicating you're the least bit concerned about it reaching our shores. You're more concerned about it having the possibility of eliminating people of another country whose culture doesn't please you.

I have plenty of morals Ms. moonbeam however none for any persons who commit reprehensible acts to defenseless beings. That is what this is all about. Can I take that you have no regards to these acts of atrocity committed in certain countries?

Ms. mmhhmm, with all due respect, why do you feel the need to chime in now? Oh, I dunno, burns. Perhaps, it's because this is a message board of which I am a member, and I can chime in whenever, and wherever I like ... provided I obey the rules. I do, and I will continue.

Am I supposed to care about that, burns? I don't recall your showing much empathy for the feelings of others. Am I to take it that you expect others to empathize with your feelings? Sorry. I just don't feel it, I'm afraid. Maybe tomorrow, or next month sometime.

Can I take that you have no regards to these acts of atrocity committed in certain countries? no, you cannot. however, i don't think that wishing mass death upon an ENTIRE COUNTRY because *some* of them commit atrocities is the solution!

Ruh roh. The great attorney has lost his edge. Humor has hit an all-time low, and is still diggin'. I'll throw a tear or two in with that empathy I'm planning down the road somewhere, sometime, someplace ... or not. ;D
