Liberal Group’s Video Assails Koch Brothers

The liberal guerrilla video group Brave New Foundation on Wednesday began what it says will be a prolonged political attack against the industrialist Koch family, which has become synonymous with the anti-Obama conservative movement.

The campaign marks yet another step toward conspicuousness for a family whose political activity was largely in the shadows until last year, when a New Yorker article outlined the support David H. Koch and his brother Charles ave given to various conservative research institutes and groups, including some associated with the Tea Party movement.

The campaign is going right to where the Kochs live, literally. A Brave New Foundation crew filmed outside five of the Kochs’ multimillion-dollar homes: in Manhattan; Southampton, N.Y.; Aspen, Colo; Palm Beach, Fla.; and Wichita, Kan.

In the first video, being released Wednesday night, the crews knock on the doors of all five properties, seeking to question David Koch directly about his policy positions and the environmental record of his company, Koch Industries. At one point, a group of elderly people picnics on the beach in front of David Koch’s Palm Beach mansion to marvel at its size while saying the policies he supports punish the working class.

“We’re putting a face on what the ideology means — what the hyperrich, billionaire ideology means,” said Robert Greenwald, the president and founder of Brave New Foundation, based in Culver City, Calif.

The Koch brothers declined to comment on the campaign through a spokesman.

Anyway, gotta love thug politics: Obama and his crew do that so well as they did when they rioted around the homes of bank executives even if they had nothing to do with the bailouts. Or threatening to picket businesses that don't support the unions in Wisconsin. Or "red line" banks that don't want to loan to people who can't pay back.

People are waking up to how the government has taken over our lives and people are running scared trying to supress the truth. The next decade or two is gonna get mighty interesting if we survive it.

I had a similar thought , not quite the same, how it's just Politics, getting closer to the election, on this one I agree on but also understand the other side on their doing similar, Soros, there I don't agree. LOL. I wonder why...

I think the Koch brother's agenda.. nothing positive for the people, more for those who have it in my opinion, though they may feel whats good for the haves IS good for the People, trickle down, up, side ways , possible, their opinion.

Africa, Eastern Europe , Increasing Democratiic political agenda's, which does include bioth political sides, over totarian agendas, only one side, the one in power, and who knows if he will support the POTUS this go around .

I believe I read some where he is not that happy with the man, over something , so it's his $, his right to spend where ever..but definitely spends big $ to prime start good works that are definitely needed and give great help for those who are usually over looked in gaining help from the out side sources.

To be fair here..granted Koch Brothers have donated over $100 million to right wing causes and organizations , however they too do Philanthropic work. I am not going to compare the two, like who's is bigger, school yard tactics, just give credit to what ever for what ever and a thank you for your contributions. As far as opening or not, all one can do is post it and then what happens , happens. Interest in or no interest, think the old adage, "All you can do is bring the horse to the water, not make it drink some"

Soros made his money by manipulating currencies in ways that could break a nation and he almost broke Great Britain. Now he wants to do it again with us by trying to remove the dollar from being the world's reserve currency.

One way to look at it, and not being a expert on world currancies , this is just a laymans opinion of that possibility. It seems ,

we are doing that ourselves, with no help needed by Mr. Soros, because of the weakness of the $ as well as our sickening unsustainable debt, and the inability of the two sides, so far , to finally sit down and get, try, compromise, on getting a handle on it, just , so far, the same yadda, yadda.

I , again , as a layman, believe, that if the parties could come up with a compromise agreement, even not exactluy what is needed but a attempt to sort it out, the world would realize we are seriouse in confronting the problem and the future might look better , thus the safety of the $ is assured, for the moment.

Again a neophyte on world currrencies but it's, IMHO.

It was a gamble on his part, thought out, calculated , done with great thought but still when you think about it , a gamble, could have gone the other way and if it did, no outcry, except by himserlf, his family, any one who followed his lead, it was legal, when the Brits charged him, went no where, and they realized he made them look foolish.

Well actually , how they give their $ , for which causes, that's their right to do with where ever.

They definitly give a lot in Philanthropy and feel where it goes is their business.
They give to medical, it's helping those who are poor as you say, and possible some of their other philanthropies, and there may be ambny more that are just not listed.
Don't agree I have a right to say yaa, boo, as to where the $ are going, as long as they are giving, and to good causes, the rest is their business.

I guess the poor and middle class never get cancer treatment? The Koch brothers have done a great deal in the name of cancer research. I'm sure the research and technology that has been developed off the backs of their philanthropy has increased the survival rates for cancer in the US; to the point where 5 year survival rates are the best in the world.
