In my opinion, he refused because he KNOWS, that he deserves ZERO credit for the killing of bin Laden.

These aren't my words, but they do reflect my views. Sounds Like Barry No Class Needed A Prop. www.conservativeunderground.com/forum505/showthread.php?t=39745Bush not accepting that particular invitation after the viciousness of Obama's attacks on Bush policies in the past, coupled with Obama's having adopted the very same policies just shows Bush's inner peace with himself.

Bush said sometime ago he would not insert himself into this administration in any form or fashion. At least he sticks by what he said he would do.

Yeah. Obama will have to make his reelection campaign appearences with just himself and his hangers on, because that's all the trip is for. I wonder if he's passing up a chance to play some golf for this one.

I think they were both displaying a rare moment of class in politics. It was the right thing for Obama to invite him, and it was the right thing for Bush to let Obama have his moment in the sun.

The information was extracted at one of the notorious rendition prisons in Eastern Europe (Warsaw, perhaps?). It was Khalid Sheikh Mohammad who gave it up, in fact, via waterboarding or another "harsh interrogation" technique. The very things Obama vowed to eliminate, in fact (another lie of his, but this time it was actually helpful). The irony is so thick you could cut it with a knife...

George W. Bush Declines Obama Invitation To Ground ZeroWASHINGTON — A spokesman for George W. Bush says the former president has declined an invitation from President Barack Obama to attend an observance at New York's ground zero. Obama plans to visit the site of the destroyed World Trade Center towers Thursday in the aftermath of a Navy SEALs raid that killed Osama bin Laden. The al-Qaida attack, which killed about 3,000 people, occurred in the early months of Bush's presidency in 2001. The spokesman, David Sherzer, says the former president appreciated the offer to attend but has chosen to remain out of the spotlight during his post-presidency. Sherzer says Bush celebrates bin Laden's death as an "important victory in the war on terror." www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/03/george-w-bush-obama-ground-zero_n_857278.html

The information was extracted at one of the notorious rendition prisons in Eastern Europe (Warsaw, perhaps?). The very things Obama vowed to eliminate, in fact (another lie of his, but this time it was actually helpful). The irony is so thick you could cut it with a knife... "The very things Obama vowed to eliminate, in fact (another lie of his" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Obama stopped the water boarding. According to numerous reports, the one who spilled the secret about the courier, while had been water boarded previously ,then he said nothing, but a few months later under normal interrogation, it came out, the water boarding had nothing to do with his slip of the tongue. Keep trying ed but you've been outed , in more ways then you can think of, the racial and just posting what is not true. Funny thing is there are probably plenty of legitimate political disses you could bring up, complaints , even accusations of, any one in the position he is in , there are questionable policies, legitimate ones that can be questioned, it comes with the territory but you NEVER do that, just more BS of which most are false, lies really, though not saying you are purposely lieing, just say, misinformed? All the time ? Example, the water boarding, has been ordered stopped by Obama, brought up by one of his top aides today, been stopped a long time ago. Gitmo, still open and while he would love to close it , if reelected I bet he will, but for now, to many roadblocks, and this is not a lie, mostly stopped by Republicans, holding up financing of the prison government wanted to purchase from one of the mid western States, also no funding to move them , inmates , to the states, back and forthh, blocked by the Republicans. But there are legitimate questions you could bring up, problem is you have to think it through to do so, and also research to make sure you are correct , which can take some effort, which you don't want to do obviously so you just post BS and hope it will pass muster. ed, it never passes muster, ever.

Warsaw, there's something wrong with your link about Rumsfield.
Is he now changing his tune and saying it WAS waterboarding that led Obama to Osama?

Since Bush is not POTUS or anything, how many anti-Bush threads do you people really need?? Seriously-- weren't you just talking about this on your other hate Bush thread?? I wonder how many anti some non candidate person threads I could get away with?? It is my way to insert my links in to existing threads, but you guys knock yourselves out. I'll think of someone to bash and get busy starting threads about it.

Now you sound like our echo chamber friend. You're hanging out with the wrong crowd, man, and it's affecting your IQ...

Palm Beach, you get an exalt- that's twice lately....you da man! But really I would have liked him to have said yes, could have been a great moment for the country...I really would like political discourse to be intellectual and based on facts, not what we have now... "I would have liked him to have said yes, could have been a great moment for the country...' Couldn't agree more, he deserved to be there, he started the process, to bring him down, move into Afghanistan, go after al Quida and when Taliban refused to give him up, even throw him out, tell him to go, then got together with the northern alliance to remove both. That he then changed his ideas of what was the mission, Iraq, is another story, but agree, he deserved to be there, New York, it would have been good for the country, good for him too. The man was my POTUS and while I might have some problems with some of his decisions, that comes with the territory and who says I am right on all my complaints. Just watching on CNN, brought out that he , POTUS, called in CIA head, May of 2009, to put more assets , people into finding Osama, now that is interesting, well to me anyway.
