I need help. I have looked and looked and I wonder if there were two raids, and we just haven't heard about the second one. I say that because I have fond two different aerial photographs that claim to be the bin Laden compound. I wonder if anyone else has seen them and has the same questions I have. In the first photo, notice the fence encoompasses the entire compound, and there is all open space around the area outside the fence. In the second photo there is only a small compound area, there is no triangular shaped layout that is readily definable, and there is construction all around the outside of the fenced area.

Easy one, henry. They've known he was there for 6 years-- so says wikileaks, at least.

Latest ... Daughter of Osama says they have been living there, compound, for 5 years.
Action report...Only fire fight , in a guest house in one court yard, the courier fired at the Seals was killed. In the main house, his brother killed, no fire back, no weapons on, on stair well, Osama's son rushed seals, was killed, no firing from him , no weapons on him, into the bedroom, Osama , one to the chest, one to the head. Woman in room rushed Seals, was shot in calf.
There were weapons around, especially in bedroom where Osama was brought down , moving, possible toward them. There were children in the room I beleive.. One of the seals lay down next to Osama's body , picture taken, or not, to figure out his height...
Supposedly a picture of Osama would be gruesome as expected, part of the skull , eye removed and all the rest of..no autopsy took place...
Latest from CNN

I'm not disputing anything, , , good gosh, where would a person start, , , but I read where there were five helicopters originally and one turned back because of a malfunction of some kind. That would reduce the options of the remaining four and "tend" to add pressure on them. I also read that even though they knew where bin Laden "lived", they weren't sure he was there at that particular time. And there ARE two places identified in the aftermath as bin Laden's compound. Who did the identification is not revealed, and they are not even acknowledged as being two separate places, but they are both shown in the same article that the photos above came from. It includes a picture that purports to include bin Laden from several years ago. He is identifed as being the second person from the right. (which right is not specified) www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1382859/Osama-bin-Laden-dead-Photo-Obama-watching-Al-Qaeda-leader-die-live-TV.html

Yeah, yankee, it does look like somebody altered the original photograph, but I'd put my bet on the black and whiite version being the altered photo. It has been cropped and is a smaller image than the colored version. Seems they just didn't have a color capability when they copied the original. To go the other way and enlarge the content of a black and white photograph, and add color to it too, would be out of the reach of even the best of photoshioppers.
I'm wondering at the age of either of the two possibilities in the picture that could be bin Laden. Neither of them seem to have reached the requisite 6 feet 4 inches or more.
And that pink Cadillac? Wow! Do you suppose Mary Kay was that big in the Middle East that someone could win one of their pink cadillacs? If so, they didn't get it by selling Mary Kay to anybody I can see in the picture.
With a luggage rack on top, no less? Now that is going first class!!
I wonder how many women and kids, with their goats and chicken coops they could put in it and on top of it before starting out for a cross country sojourn. . . . .

Belgian Malinois: The Dog That Took Down Osama Bin Laden? Of the 80 member team that was deployed to take down bin Laden, few draw more speculation than the one on four legs. Most likely a Belgian Malinois (though officials say it could also have been a German Shepherd), there was one non-human member of the SEAL team that raided Osama bin Laden's compound, according to the New York Times. The heroic pooch was strapped to a Navy SEAL as they were lowered from a hovering helicopter. The news of the dog's use in the raid broke Wednesday, but like the other members of the team that was deployed, its identity remains unknown. While the dog is known for its bomb-sniffing prowess, it has other capabilities that make it a wonderful dog-of-war. According to the Atlantic, the dog may have been trained to "sniff out enemy troops from up to 2 miles away." The sensory perception brought by these dogs in a wartime situation is unparalleled. “The capability they bring to the fight cannot be replicated by man or machine,” General David H. Petraeus said last year, calling for more use of dogs. But the coolest thing about these guys? Many SEAL dogs come equipped with " titanium fangs capable of ripping through enemy protective armor," at a cost of "about $2,000 a tooth," according to the Daily. That'll get the job done. www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/05/belgian-malinois-dog-osama-bin-laden_n_858050.html

George W. Bush Reportedly Feels Ignored In Obama 'Victory Lap' Following Osama Bin Laden's Death A source tells the New York Daily News that former president George W. Bush feels that his successor has failed to sufficiently recognize the role he played in the manhunt for Osama bin Laden that ensued following the September 11, 2001 terror attacks. www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/05/bush-obama-osama-bin-laden_n_858046.htmlGeorgie, I assure you that many of us are painfully aware of the role you played in the manhunt for Osama bin Laden.

Given the name on the store and the fact most women aren't wearing headscarves I would think this pic is likely from somewhere in Europe.

Point taken Optimist. I'll fix it. "And that pink Cadillac? Wow! Do you suppose Mary Kay was that big in the Middle East Europe that someone could win one of their pink cadillacs? If so, they didn't get it by selling Mary Kay to anybody I can see in this particular picture." There. How's that? Kinda like our American liberals isn't it? A philosophy sort of like, "I'll sell you what makes things better for me, but I don't want to have to pay for them myself", huh?
