Two days in a row having wine. Both useful and unnecessary.

I find working from home has helped me tremendously with my sleep issues. The stress of needing to wake up early and getting ready to leave quickly makes it harder for me to fall asleep. I also can't vary the time I go to bed by more than 15 minutes, or it will mess me up.

My Sweetflexx leggings only have 2 bands in each leg, so I ordered 1 pastor of the 6 band and 1 pair of the 8 band Skinnify from Amazon. It was 20% off of 2, that brought it to $108. And with points from my Amazon card and a $25 gift card from my employer's health incentive and ended up paying almost $40 OOP.
It was cheaper than their BOGO on their site. Plus, I couldn't find a way to mix products for the BOGO.

Day 6 of tracking my food, and down 3lbs! I haven't improved my exercise any, and I have no excuses as to why.

My scale is moving in the right direction once again. I just love my scale, which posts improvement by measuring 2 ounces at a time. I'm down 2 pounds since right after Christmas.

I use the mySugr app to track my estimated A1c reading. I enter my glucose readings throughout the day - when I wake up, before meals, after meals, bedtime.
It went down this morning - to 6.3!
I was at 6.7 just a few weeks ago, so I'm making progress. I want to be below 6.0.
This app is pretty darn accurate. For my last two A1c blood tests, it was spot on with its estimate.
I walked the dog 10 minutes longer this morning too.
Baby steps.

Reporting weight today to hold myself accountable and Monday mornings are not my favorite time o fthe week.
January 2 ...166.5 January 7 ...166.4
While it doesn't look like much, it is a success. I had food poisoning over New Year's and dropped four to five pounds from that. I've kept it off this week, so that's the success.

I’m down 2.2 pounds since last week. Meal planning and exercise fell by the way side the second half of the week. It’s that time of the month so I’m feeling bloated and have the raging munchies occasionally. I did manage to stay within my calorie allotment each day, so I’ll consider that an overall win.

Weekly January goals: average 1700 calories/day, lose 1 pound per week, exercise 4x per week
Week ending January 7 average 1700 calories/day I only tracked four days, and the average for those was 1350. However, the other three days were definitely above that.
It was an outlier week with food poisoning, so I'm not going to look at the weight change.
exercise 4x per week Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Weekly check in
No change in weight. Did not get in as many steps as I would have liked. Water intake was an improvement from previous week.
Goals for week:
1. No eating after 9:00 PM 2. 42000 steps 3. average 30 ounces of water per day. Number is arbitrary and is above last week's average.
01/01/19 177.2 01/01/20 165.2 01/01/21 169.0 01/01/22 167.2 01/01/23 172.2 01/01/24 187.2 01/08/24 187.2
Have a good week everyone.

ners I think you need more than 30 ozs of water. I believe the general rule of thumb is half your weight in ounces. I often don't reach that.

Still down in my weight. I'm -3.2 lbs from last week, despite not worrying too much about my diet from Thursday on. Got to the gym yesterday. I wanted to more, but I tag along on my DH's account. If my son starts coming along, I'll get my own account. I don't love that gym, but it is a lot more convenient than the old one.

While in Vegas for four days, I walked over 29,000 steps and still managed to gain five pounds due to eating at restaurants. Too much sodium and I feel gross. I placed a grocery order which includes salmon, low glycemic veggies, and a cauliflower crust pizza and I will pick it up after work.

I'm away from home for the next three months. Since there's a WW studio here, I have gone back to attending the meetings. I'm a Lifetime Member, so it was no cost to attend as long I was within two pounds of my goal and weighed in in-person each month. Last spring when WW was closing a bunch of studios they said Lifetime Members were exempt until February 2024 from the monthly weigh-in requirement. And back around late summer, WW backtracked on that and started billing Lifetime Members who didn't check in each month. I didn't weigh in (closest studio near met home was 40+ miles) and they never caught up to me on billing.
So I have been less than diligent about weighing myself, as you can see from the chart below.
Update: 7/6/23 145.2 7/14 /23 145.4 8/1/23 144.2 8/28/23 144.6 9/30/23 147.2 10/13/23 144.4 10/23/23 146.0 11/3/23 145.4 11/13/23 145.2 12/5/23 143.4
Now that I'm elsewhere for the next few months, I can make weekly meetings. For my first official weigh-in in almost a year, I considered having coffee before I left home, and not particularly caring whether I wore my lightest weight clothes figuring I'd certainly be more than 2 pounds over goal. But then I thought that if I happened to be just 2.2 pounds over the goal because I wore jeans and a sweater, I'd be ticked at having to pay for the month of January (which I think is like $45), so I made coffee to sip after the weigh-in, and sought out my lightest clothes to wear. I weighed in at 141.8, which is 0.8 above goal weight.
Very pleased with myself! WW does not have stretch goals, but I'd like to officially set a stretch goal of 135. It will really be a
S T R E T C H for me.
Losing 6.8 pounds should not be so difficult, but it is.

Was doing well since the new year, but have fallen off the past few days.....not sure I can regroup as yet. Alot going on right now. Should be relatively short term and then I'll get back on track.

I’m down 2.2 pounds again since last week. Exercise was nonexistent. Meal planning went pretty well. I fell off for a couple of days for lunch or dinner, but had acceptable substitutes. Overall calories stayed within range.
I finally found my measuring tape to get my measurements. I’m down a couple of inches in the waist/hips area from the measurements I took in 2022. I found a pair of jeans I had thrown into a bin in the laundry room a long time ago because they were way too small. They’re still too small to be comfortable, but I can zip them up without injuring myself. I’ll consider that a victory for now.

Up 0.8 lbs this week. Running at the gym a bit more, but all these weather cancelations are making me bored and depressed, which eventually leads to a bit more snacking and drinking.
Anyway, its about trying to stay healthy now, so I'll keep starting over as much as I need to. The more I do, even if it isn't perfect, the better off I'll be in the long run.
Have a great week everyone!

Hi Kids! No improvement on weight loss, but my body IS changing. Pants are getting loose again. Wish the scale would reflect the changes I'm seeing, but any progress is something good.

I lost the vacation water weight, but still have the crud, most likely contracted on the airplane. 'Tis okay. I'm upright and back in action. Mostly.

Not much to report for me. I haven't been able to walk the dog for a few days due to the snowy roads. We don't have sidewalks on our street, so you walk in the road and pray you don't get hit. I broke an ankle several years ago, so I'm overly cautious about walking on slick surfaces.
I'm ready for our mild winter to come back!

Still doing good on my diet, and walking a bit more. The scale hasn't really moved anymore, but I'm staying the course!

Back from vacation and haven’t yet gotten on the scale. I don’t feel like I did too bad, other than sodium intake while on vacation.
i went to another workout class tonight. So far I’ve made it to 4, which feels pretty good given that I’ve only had about 10 available days to go since I joined. Hoping to go again tomorrow.
work travel starts back up on Thursday. My goal for this semester is eat more salads while on the road. Even just one extra salad a week would probably make a difference in how I feel. It’s just so easy to eat unhealthy on the road, and I need to curb that impulse.

Up .7 lbs this week. Exercise was hit or miss this week, and I went over on calories one day, but am under overall for the week. Why does bread and pasta have to be so yummy?

Up 1.4 this week. Ugh--eating out sucks for my diet. I even went to the gym yesterday and had a great run. I guess the extra calories makes it a lot easier. The workout schedule on my current plan is way too easy, too, but I'm going to continue with it. I started 2 grad classes last week, and I don't want to bite off more than i can chew.
