Just a bit of sedition from a Christian Nationalist that is lying to himself about Trump’s crimes so he can stir up his followers.

Mike Huckabee is the former Governor of Arkansas. He could barely get single digits in the Primaries. He is not someone whose opinion I would take seriously.
I understand you are worried. But there is unlikely to be a civil war. We are more prepared for something like January 6. Few of us would have imagined something like that would ever happen. Now that it has, we will take it seriously. Will there be some political violence. Possibly. A Civil War, doubtful. It may be ugly, but there are not enough people who will take up arms.

Thomas Jefferson: ... And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure. ... link I do believe there will be more bloodshed. I don't think it is avoidable while maintaining our liberties.

When the chips fall, the rightwing extremists will realize none of their beliefs are really worth dying for just to ‘get the libs’ one last time before they hit the pavement in a pool of their own blood.

Plus we have Tall Guy!😎 I think I am in a far safer place than Seattle if a war were to break out. I can see the right wing attacking Seattle but no one is going to care enough about Eastern Washington to fight over it. Unless it is ideological cleansing, in which case I hope you have a spare bedroom.

I'm of the opposite belief. I think that ideological cleansing in Eastern Washington is much more likely than a right-wing attack on Seattle.
I live in a 60/40 town and electoral district which favors Democratic candidates but I work with a whole lot of people who live in much smaller towns where the numbers are quite a bit different. A whole lot of them seem to be permanently plugged into a news ecosystem that leaves them permanently outraged and they have become very mean and hard to work with.
I have a spare bedroom but I don't really recommend the town that I live in as a place to flee to. There are a lot of people here who seem to think that being as mean as possible is the way to get into heaven and make the world a better place or at least something that they have to do for their children. Plus that's the dog's bedroom and if you try to sleep in there, she'll scratch at the door until you let her in, jump on the bed with you, and then paw at your head until you lift the covers and let her sleep under the covers with you. You could probably get used to sleeping with the dog but I don't think that you'd like working the kind of job that internally displaced persons find themselves working especially if it means working with people like some of my coworkers.

I have a feeling that if they try anything, Meal Team 6 and the Gravy Seals are going to find that they aren't as tough as the real military. Although I may be in a bit of trouble personally, as my town voted 71% Trump in the last presidential election.

Just because people are mentioning it, does not mean its real. See Jewish space lasers and gazpacho police (MGT). Trump has been priming his peeps since before the 2016 about stolen elections if he doesn't win and still here in 2023 non Trumpers know he's using wishful thinking sheeple programming. Not all his followers went to his J6 rally despite the constant programming. Over 500 people have been sentenced for J6, only idiots would try to pull off a civil war over Trump not getting enough votes again.

I’m trying to imagine what a right wing civil war would look like. It would have to be guerrilla style warfare. I imagine they would target federal buildings, especially court houses, and left leaning politicians/judges? But say they pull off bringing down a federal building like happened in the Oklahoma bombing - if they do it during the day, when it’s full of employees, or if they started kidnapping and beheading judges or politicians - what percentage of the far right would go along with that? I think it would look more like the Greater Idaho movement. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_Idaho_movementThe right half of Washington wants to split off and join with Idaho because the more left leaning districts in the state are much more populated and dominate the politics. I wonder if anyone in the Greater Idaho movement has calculated the amount of state tax dollars they get from state government, and what their tax base will be when they’re part of Idaho, instead.

I actually live in that region. We are talking about people who are anti-government. The argument that they benefit and need the tax money is simply dismissed with, "We can survive without it if we get rid of them big government liberals." And not a big deal since you are correct about many in Eastern Washington wanting to split off, your link is about Eastern Oregon.

And on the first half of your post: Totally agree that it would be guerrilla style warfare resistance to government authority. One thing I have seen is what I perceive as an understanding of the need for a very measured response. I look at the reaction to the Occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. It would have been easy to go in with overwhelming force. But the way it was handled give no opportunity for a negative reaction. If government forces don't overreact, right wing extremist acts will not generate support.

Fence them off and let them sit until they get bored/tired/hungry and give themselves up, otherwise it makes the insurrectionists hero’s to the anti gov people.

Off topic a bit but Tara Westover wrote a book called Educated about being raised in a fundamentalist family who home schooled their kids, didn’t believe in traditional medicine and raised their own food. She talks about how Ruby Ridge happened not far away, and how that fueled her fathers paranoia about big government and the end times.
Interesting to see the mind set of people who live that way. (Tara was able to leave and get a formal education).

I think a lot of you are being far too placid. I would think likewise if Jan 6th hadn't happened.
Remember - it wasn't just the mob, there was support and collusion from some members of congress. There were current and ex military and law enforcement in the mob. They have all been seething on this for 4 years.
The road ahead is bumpy. Possibly bloody. Which, ok, maybe that is the cost of democracy. Is there any chance they could pull it off? Or actually fracture the US, even temporarily?
I don't know, I sure hope Jan 6th was the bursting of the bubble rather than the canary in the coal mine. But these people are stupid, they will believe anything! Many are trained from birth to blindly follow, they are whipped into a passion easily. They never met a fact they could not ignore, twist, or whatabout into their own narrative. Many already will say they would rather align with russians then democrats.
Stupid, passionate, angry, bored, and stockpiling for armageddon for decades. And they honestly believe that democrats won't fight back if push comes to shove because "gun control".
Really - what could go wrone?

Yes, I offered a joking response. And you criticize that as well. I live in the middle of a red town in a red region of a blue state. My opinion is that we don't need your luck. We need intelligent responses to the situation. And that includes not overreacting. I would like to hear ideas on what we should be doing that others think would be effective. I wouldn't be too comfortable in your bluest of blue world. No matter how few, you do have local right wing radicals plus no walls surrounding you. Where/who do you think they will attack when they feel disrespected and dismissed?
