No, small states are over-represented under the EC.  That is clearly true as I showed earlier.  Added together, two million fewer people have 40 more electoral votes.  That is not an "opinion" that one can simply disagree with.  

Collectively lower population states have a disadvantage in that more of them have to vote a certain way than collectively states with high population to gain a majority in the Electoral College. And while the number of people is a fact, that it matters is the opinion.

Which is EXACTLY why the Electoral College should be abolished.  One person, one vote is critical to democracy.  What we have is 50+ different standards of how much a vote is worth.  And again, STATES DON"T MATTER.  PEOPLE DO.  The vote of one person should be worth the same as the vote of any other whether they are in California, Wyoming, South Carolina, or anywhere else.  They are not now, and never will be under the current EC system.  

I think this is where it all started people think we are a democracy we are a republic government

    We've got a big problem in the USA right now, that if something bad isn't happening in their own neighborhood, some people think it's not a problem.      It's both selfish AND sad for anyone to think a person outside of their little world doesn't matter.

Sorry. Just read two people were killed and there were at least two shooters. This should not be happening at block parties nor anywhere really. There are so many people who should not have guns possibly ever.

Well, as bill posted, the two major thought processes that drive decision-making are logic and emotion.  The poster claimed to not be deciding based on emotion, or at least thinking that they don't make decisions that way.  That pretty much implies that they think they are using logic instead.

My philosophy has always been, "Never let emotion get in the way of making a good decision."

Instead, less than a week before one of the most important days of his life, he was shot dead by a gunman who started firing randomly at vehicles and nearby pedestrians in southwest Philadelphia Monday night.
