Last point first, the actual people that will be prosecuting were in court today when Dufus was formally charged. It wasn't Bragg personally. But according to all the Law and Order I've ever watched, the District Attorney never personally takes stuff to court. It's always an Assistant DA. I watched Braggs statement and I think he did a great job explaining the charges and the logic behind them. Honestly I think the biggest problem will be keeping Magats off the jury. Just one will hang the jury. I would think on a big history making case like this he would want to do it himself. Fame and fortune awaits. Speaking tours, university fellowships, book sales, run for governor. The potentials are endless. Why would you think that personal aggrandizement is what motivates him? I would guess generally that high-level trial lawyers who are motivated by a true respect for the law itself are more likely to be or become prosecutors, while those motivated by money and fame are more likely to be or become defense attorneys. If you want to see people trying to make a name for themselves, look at the cast of clowns working for Donald Trump. Top (or even second- and third-level) defense attorneys won't even touch him at this point. Not only can they not stand him as a client, but they generally prefer actually being paid for their work.

He can write books without trying the case and run for governor if he actually wanted to as well.

He can make copies of the checks he signed as POTUS to pay off his porn star to sell at his rallies. I'm sure his followers would pay some good money for a copy! He could start a class on how to commit fraud and have the GOP defend your actions. OMG, the potentials are endless.

Just so you know, you are the problem.

Rip is so used to trump taking credit for everything and anything good that he thinks others are just like trump. Fast fact, Rip: not everyone one is a publicity whore like trump.

another nothing burger. i watched his 30 minute speech. it was a very effective campaign speech. maybe the most effective i have seen him deliver. of course, most of it was nonsense. but that is another matter. It was just a rehash of the same old, same old grievances. Hillary's emails. Russia, Russia, Russia. Hunter Biden's laptop. Painting himself as the world's most put-upon victim. Boring bullshit.

It was interesting yesterday when they read Trump his rights:
1. You have the right to remain silent even though you lack the ability 2. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law and we have faith there will be a lot 3. You have a right to an attorney including a rotating slate of them 4. If you cannot afford an attorney, or find one willing to represent you, one will be appointed for you

The recent Hannity interview - where trump stated he had the right to take stuff - comes to mind, lol.

BWAhahaha... and also hooray! I installed a new plugin that will automatically convert tiktok urls to the video. You have to use the button to add the url though - just copying and pasting it doesn't work. Also wont work on mobile unless you change to desktop view. link

Not worth the headache. good point here/\ not all people are motivated by money. some are motivated by things like ETHICS. i would not take a job coming out of college which would, as a necessary consequence, destroy human life. and that meant i ended up working in agriculture/farming/food. and sure, it paid less. but i was never lacking for work, and my needs were met at every level. more over, i could sleep at night. how can that crazy orange bastard sleep at night, living for himself, and ripping everyone off? i don't get it?

Bragg might be looking for fame and fortune- but he isn’t going to get there by letting an obviously bogus case go through. There must be at least some merit to this, otherwise Bragg will just be infamous and that won’t help him.

If you are sending a man with a private plane money for his legal fees...

I think the problem is that we think most men that made it to president have paid people off to hide the truth from the voting public. Instead of thinking they all should have been called on it we default to "everyone does it, it's no big deal". I think it is a big deal. And New York passed a law that you can't do that. It's sad that it took so long for someone to do that. And as I heard someone say on CNN, absolutely no one is saying Trump didn't do it, including Trump.

I thought it was self evident that he is a fucking windbag...what amazes me is how often he gets away with it. Anyway, my point is I think paying hush money to deceive voters is a big deal. And he needed every one of those "Christian" votes to win. Your elections are won by crazy slim margins, what you call a landslide is a rounding error for elections up here. BTW I still think he got machines rigged in the election he won. We all know how much he projects. Him accusing the Dems of it convinces me even more I'm right.

And as one more indignity....
Remember when Trump was claiming that his official height and weight was 6'3", 238 lbs? Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was saying not a chance in hell those were correct? Well, 6'1", 270 lbs. seem to be the numbers. That fat f*** lies about everything, no matter how obvious it is that he's lying. I wish he would learn that not everyone is as dumb as he is. It would save us reading an awful lot of stupid sh**.

He has to be at least 300 lbs Those numbers came from the NYPD as part of his processing, so there is no reason to believe they are not accurate. He might be close to 300 if he actually were 6'3" though. He is not morbidly obese, but he does qualify under the guidelines for bariatric surgery, so he's got that going for him.
