I'm road tripping through some very red areas and amused by all the "Let's Go Brandon" and all the other now obsolete inventory at all the truck stops. I just saw one with Trump pushing Biden in a wheelchair that said "Time to Go Old Man". Now who's the old man? 🤣

Just a thought.

I'm convinced Vance is secretly working for the Democrats.

so, wait, let me dissect Vance's statement.
if i have no kids, i have no stake in this country? i have no interest in my future or that of others? ok.
so, that means that sending young, childless men and women off to war is a TERRIBLE idea. we should stop doing that.
could it not also be that having no other attachments could make you super committed to what you do? consider monks. consider musicians (most of them are childless, in my experience. the lifestyle is not compatible with raising families, in my experience). are they not obsessively committed to doing the thing they are doing to a degree almost unimaginable to someone like Vance?
in addition- how about the divided loyalties that parents often have. not Trump, but most parents. if it comes to saving your own skin or that of the country, what will you choose? if you have people that depend on you, that choice is vastly more complicated.
so yeah, i don't buy that assertion. i LIKE that KH is childless. i think that is great. i think it is absolutely spot on appropriate, modern, and good for her if she wins. and probably good for the country as well.

KH = Harris? She’s married and has two step kids, which I guess aren’t ‘real’ kids per Vance - and it’s the fact that she has no ‘real’ kids that makes her a bitter old cat lady with no interest in the country. She’s married to a Jewish guy who I think will make an awesome First Husband. He seems nice. Jennifer Anniston scolded Vance about denigrating childless women, pointing out that some women (like her) really wanted kids and tried hard to have some but couldn’t, so he’s being a true ass. And MTG says Harris’ husband has the key to the Jewish Space laser, which is cool. JK.

Buttigieg who he also mentioned as childless actually has adopted twins with his husband, but I'm sure they don't count either.

So this guy does not research ... On August 17, 2021, Buttigieg announced on his personal Twitter account that he and his husband had become parents. On September 4, Pete Buttigieg tweeted a photo of the couple with their newborn twins, a son and a daughter.[36] Buttigieg used to perform improv comedy in and around the Chicago area.[3]en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chasten_Buttigieg (Pete's husband)

And MTG says Harris’ husband has the key to the Jewish Space laser, which is cool. JK. I read most of that article. She had many good points. I'd like to see a world where we believe all contribute as they are willing and able. Per Whoopi on Seth Meyer's show 100 comics visited the pope with various religious backgrounds. She said they were received well and that the Pope said there should be more laughter in the world. That laughter was a gift to the people. Music we all know is a gift to society. As are films, TV, graphic novels, books ... And of course good cooking and all the various world cusines and dances. I guess JD didn't know how to contribute to society since RW billionaire Peter T. plucked him into high paying jobs he wasn't qualified for. I think that's a JD problem not a us problem.

Childless Cat Ladies, eh JD? Did it not occur to you that not all of us made the decision to not have kids. Some of us had the decision made for us, thanks to disease, birth deformity, infertility, lack of a solid partner, lack of funds, a steady lifestyle, a solid home, the need to take care of other family members or the realization that adoption rather than procreation could be a solution. Personally, I did not get up one morning and decide that that particular day was a good one for a hysterectomy to remove 28 tumors and what was left of a decimated reproductive system. But go on. Keep living like you're the one in charge in a Handmaid's Tale episode, and can decide what rights women do and don't have.
Trust me, if I ever meet you on the street, I will demonstrate my kickboxing skills. A right round kick to your whozits will send them up so far up your whatzit, you will find out what "Great Balls A'fire" taste like.

Thirty five minute video but well worth the watch in you want to here Vance in his own words including speaking about childless married couples should have less of a vote in U.S. elections than married couples with children (beginning around the 15 minute mark).
Here, Vance is speaking at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute 's "The Future of American Political Economy" conference in Alexandria, VA. on July 24th 2021 after he annouced his candidacy for U.S. senator.
Descirption of the speech by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute:

Catch-22: Then there was the educated Texan from Texas who looked like someone in Technicolor and felt, patriotically, that people of means—decent folks—should be given more votes than drifters, whores, criminals, degenerates, atheists and indecent folk—people without means. Loved that book.

Trump says he might appoint coaches as his generals because they’re basically the same job right? www.rawstory.com/donald-trump-military-2668813632/How does this guy keep getting nominated to run? And how does anyone in the military ever vote for him?

Okay, extra votes for parents. Wonder on the details. One extra per kid? Does each parent get extra votes? Shared custody, extra vote every other election? Does a non-custodial parent get an extra vote one weekend a month and two weeks in the summer? I want details JD, details.

(I'll bet Trump is thinking he can hire coaches for cheaper than the generals.) With all of the negative things Trump has said about those who serve, I don't know how a single person who has ever been in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coast Guard would even consider voting for that guy.

I heard an interview with a member of Biden’s team who has now transitioned to Kamala’s team. She said that they didn’t really notice how much they were worried about age related issues during speeches until they went to Kamala’s speech. The team has been conditioned little by little to see Biden’s age as normal. But then putting someone so energetic, with a strong voice. The team wasn’t worried about the candidate physically stumbling. They didn’t worry about any confusion or word switching. Sometimes our brains expend energy that we don’t even realize it is doing.
They gotta get Kamala out there doing three rallies a day in every swing state. Shaking hands - kissing babies and convincing people she can do the job.
They keep breaking fundraising records - so somebody is out there and excited about her.

Have they confused the fact that he is a stutterer and will be worse with word choice the more he is pressured with the Biden is old advertising both MSM and the Trump campaign has been pushing? Bernie Sanders is one year older than Biden. Some people would be happy to elect him now because he is very matter of fact and knows how to craft political messaging down to its basics. Dems try to be everything to everyone and for some reason afraid to market the crap out of whoever they had. I don't believe superheroes or Presidents should have an age limit. My life isn't over until I die. Sure when you are younger you can do young people stuff, but it doesn't IMO make you better, just different. Biden actually got the first black people into certain positions in his cabinet and did civil rights things when he was young. Its still July. Its still very early in the campaign. Sept through up to the vote rarely goes as expected.

we could have proved that what matters in America is the content of one's character this election.
having failed to do that, what is this election about?
