I'm going to add Respond to messages--text, email, and voice--within 24 hours. I'm really bad about that, and at some point I'm not behaving like an adult. I did get better about this but I have lots of room for improvement.

Thank you! 😊 Right now I know I want to lose 30 lbs, redo GW'S room for GW2, a hot vacation in February and hit my investment goals. I did everything but lose the weight. That's this year's project.

I think this is the year I'm going to finally consolidate financial accounts. I got rid of one in 2021 then this year added a second 529 plan for Carrot. I've gotten to the point where I've written all my Vanguard account numbers down so that I can initiate the transfer to Fidelity, but still haven't been able to pull the trigger. I want simplification, but I have this fear of all eggs in one basket too.
LOL Yeah, didn't happen. I just added more.

But as usual, it looks like I was very poor on followthrough...I can't find that I set any 2023 resolution after all! I was prepared to face a lot of fails when I found them, but it seems that the failure was irrecoverable as there were none made.
New Year's resolution for 2024:
Get back to December 2022 Rukh O'Rorke level mojo!

I've decided that my New Year's Resolution will primarily be a house to-do list. I will do it in the form of a checklist. I don't have any major projects that have to be done, but I need to do some caulking, for example. I would like a new light fixture. I am saving for a Nest thermometer or something similar ($400 including installation so it's a splurge). I also plan to add walking and maybe a fitness class beginning January 2. That's when my insurance changes and the nearby Y becomes free. That's really it. I actually did most of the minor house to-do's . . . before selling it in July. I ran across the specific list the other day and tossed it. The walking didn't really work out because I worked so much over the last year. When I wasn't working (summer), I was moving, etc. I did get an A+ in the Excuses 101 class I took.

I need to go through files and throw away a lot of old papers, need to shred also.
Go through clothing again and get rid of the too big stuff. I actually have less but need to reduce more. Reduce amount of Christmas decorations. Get rid of items of fabric I will never use, find a quilters group to give it too. I think some patterns need to go too. Some I bought just because they were so cheap, not sure I will use some of them.
We have reduced my stored foods a lot trying to use them up. Lowest supply in ages, makes me nervous. I always have a good stash back just in case. I sure don't now.
See if we can get the landscaping in the front of the house down home to where it doesn't need so much maintenance. That way when I go back home from here I don't have to work for weeks cleaning it up.
Go through everything and have a huge garage sale when weather gets warm, I'm going to really purge. I want to get down to just one big load of stuff I'm going to keep. I agree with hubs, we can likely rebuy furniture cheaper than paying to haul it. Besides would be nice to have some new stuff. Maybe buy lesser quality, you get the really good stuff and you can't justify changing it out, LOL! Our couch is 20 years old. I do intend to keep all our good wood items though like bedroom suites, cabinets, and our table and chairs plus recliners.
That's enough stuff for this year, I will be happy if I can do a few of them well. And maintain my weight.
Maybe sell our house this year if the interest rates come down.
Just be happy, not let stress get to me, and try and be more laid back about life. We only have so many years left, I hope to enjoy them. And I don't want to spend all my time, cleaning and taking care of things. Noone else will care about them, its just "stuff".
