Thank you! 😊 Right now I know I want to lose 30 lbs, redo GW'S room for GW2, a hot vacation in February and hit my investment goals.

I don't have to but in all honesty January is a slow month and a good time to start new projects. I'm not doing much else the coldest 2 months of the year.

It's not that you have to wait, but having a set time to evaluate makes it more likely to happen. Getting stuck in inertia and status quo is easy to do especially when working and busy with day to day life. For a few weeks there is a common energy that makes those changes easier.

My New Year's Resolution will be to NOT take advice from someone who looks like a serial killer

1) Figuring out my health and getting back to an energy level where I can do what I want. 2) I would still like to lose 10LBs but that will take a back seat to the other health stuff if needed. 3) Trip to New Orleans in June with my cousin 4) Maybe a trip to Ireland with my aunt in July, If I am allowed to fly. 5) get caught up on PD points with work 6) Hang gliding again I have to get cleared for that 7) Get my divorced finalized

I plan on being the same fat asshole I have been for several years. That. My big goal this year is to get our house in order so that when we have to deal with old people crises, we can drop everything and support them when they need it.
While I also appreciate the fresh/newness of the new year, with all the hopes and what not, I actually find I do better knowing that I can just pick up and try again tomorrow. That I don't have to wait until the calendar flips to start. Takes the pressure off things being perfect, which can be paralyzing.

I highly embrace mediocrity. I suppose I always knew perfection was out of my reach.

Starting in the New Year doesn't affect that.

I love New Year's Resolutions, but I'll have to pass this year. Too much going on, too many changes. I hope I'm more established next year, and I can do this.

I hope to be paying down my mortgage to a manageable level - I have started to pay extra every month, but I also want to reduce it from 309k to maybe 150 or 200k.
I know its not advised, but I dont care, as I want some peace of mind. We are getting older and if something happens to one of us the other can handle it easily.

Lol, I've started on mine. They are mostly focused on my health both physical and mental. I know I'll have a few blips on the way and I accept that. I just need to move forward from where I am. I'm happy to bid farewell to 2022! Good luck to you all!

I want to go on a real vacation. With covid and then our twin grandsons being born, we have put travel on the back burner for a while now.
DH and I will have our 40th wedding anniversary this summer. I would like to take a cruise to mark the occasion. I should start the ball rolling now!

1. Finish my dissertation. 2. Figure out how to consistently be physically healthy. I logically know how that works. I just need the discipline.
