provolone is definitely pungent. next time, try fontina. it's melty like mozzarella, and actually somehow even milder of a cheese.

Resting for a moment. We got DS's room rearranged so I can start priming wall. I'm going to have to work my way around the room because of the furniture.

The paint store is near the goodwill. So. Of course now I'm like, well, I should try to declutter and drop off more than one bag of crap.

This old lady went clubbing last night. It was great. The music was vintage rock and roll, a lot of people dancing, a very mixed crowd and champagne at midnight.

Went to bed early last night, not feeling the greatest. Then had the back door trots all night, yes, all night. I slept off and on this morning till about 10, still having problems. Made DD breakfast, she had a bit of problem last night, but hers passed quickly. I have been in my recliner this morning dozing off and on and occasionally hitting the commode. I did eat a banana this morning and a half glass of orange juice. Later a glass of strawberry milk, that's it for the day so far.

What a way to start the new year, hope this isn't an indicator. I washed a load of clothes, need to fold them and put the dishes away. I heated DD what she wanted mashed potatoes and corn, she didn't want any turkey or anything.

I had to lose weight, I was losing my ability to walk with my foot issues. Wish I could have done it on my own but never had but once, so drugs helped. However now I fear getting off them that I will regain, everything I read says I will. Just can't do that or won't be able to walk again and I don't want to lose that ability. Even now a few pounds added causes me severe pain.


DD is having headaches a lot, some real some not. Yesterday we came home and she was bleeding around a tooth?? or in her mouth. I helped her wash it out and cleaned and it never started again. But need to check her, heart doc told me to watch her for that, maybe her blood thinner is too strong. She gets hr teeth cleaned every 6 months so should be ok.

This week she and I get mammograms and blood work for our endocrinologist visit later in the month.

Thinking about another nap, I'm just beat.

I'm annoyed. My earbuds won't stay charged for more than 5 minutes. Yesterday, one earbud ran for a couple of hours. They did grow "old" on the shelf before I started using them. That could be why. I'll just get some new inexpensive ones.

Those tiny homes are trailer houses. Maybe a step above campers.

relaxing and unwinding here. pups have been comatose since getting back from M's during the 3rdQ of the early games. they were spoiled heavily at brunch with a small crowd, which was marked by the loud absence of mooch. apparently he and M got into a huge fight last night and he slept elsewhere. idk, I didn't ask. not my circus, not my monkeys 🤷‍♀️ I'm sure I'll hear about it eventually.

I've got a small russet potato in the oven now, it will get smothered in black bean pulled chicken and shredded Monterey Jack cheese for my dinner. pups will eat in a few min. I'm already watching the clock wondering how early is too early to call it a night. the last few nights of overnight awake stretches are catching up to me.

And.. the furnace is working again. No idea why.  When I called the HVAC firm she asked me if the pilot light was on.  I had no idea but found that when I pulled off the front cover of the furnace there was a digital display flashing a couple of error codes and a handy-dandy chart listing their meanings.  I read them off to her.  I'll still have them come out even though they charge $89 (which I thought was zero if you had the service contract) because I'd rather not have this happen in weather like we had last weekend.  At least I can tell the tech something more detailed than, "The furnace stopped working and now it's working again".

Did the codes give you any ideas on how to get it working again, or are they just tech codes?

Put in an hour of community work with phone calls and writing for the newsletter. I'm biting my tongue on FB because the anti-firework comments were taken down the racist rabbit hole, not surprisingly, into the "we have to get all the foreigners out of America NOW" world.

I'm going to put on my jammies and stare at an old Western movie before I head to bed with my miserable sinuses. It doesn't help that our air quality was officially unhealthy today. Tomorrow I'll start on stashing the Christmas stuff away.

The Toddler is now old enough to tell me I can't sing.      We were going to sing Jingle Bells together and he told me I can't sing (He's not wrong.  The cats agree) and he finished the song.

My team pulled off a very nice road win today.  Very pleased with how they played after half watching 3 games where none of the teams I wanted to win did win.
