countrygirl3 I didn't want to hijack the Politics thread you posted on, but here's a really thorough overview of the mpox situation from the CDC. www.cdc.gov/mpox/index.html There is a vaccine available, but I don't know if your insurance will cover it according to their definition of high-risk individuals. Obviously only you can evaluate your exposure level based on your lifestyle and contacts, but what you share here seems to indicate a minimal risk even if your husband returns to work in a high-risk African nation.

I have a weakness for purses. But I have never spent more than $80 on a purse. I rotate them every few months. Right now I'm using a great Coach bag I bought a couple of months ago at the consignment store near me, for about $70. It looked to be new. I could find no signs of use. It retailed for $395. In my closet are a navy Stone Mountain purse (50% off sale), three small crossbodies (tan, purple, and black), a burgundy Fossil bag (outlet store), and a no-name gray purse. I still look at other purses and have not ruled out the possibility of buying more. Do you have any good consignment stores near you, soupandstew?

Soooo, Kiddo, any advice for that situation? Consequences when he comes back here and if so, what? Should I say anything to him myself? I don’t think what he did means he is destined to be a thief, but I do often have money on top of my dresser in my bedroom, do I need to stop doing that?
Mister doesn’t seem to want to talk about it, but we all know it was wrong, so how do we deal it?
I seriously don’t know, because if it had been my child, I would’ve drove him over right then to return the money and deal with his Dad right then. But they are not me, so I am trying to figure how to proceed when he does come back over here.

Well, my desk is cleared off, organized, and cleaned. I just low-key feel anxious when things are in disarray, and it's all been a mess since the flood. I'm getting ready to have one of those hard ciders to celebrate! Tonight is leftovers for dinner, so that will be easy.

I've purchased vintage Coach and a few more but there's no longer any good consignment stores in my area. I went through a phase of buying Brighton bags which are amazing, but discovered I get bored with a purse in about 2-3 years so not paying Brighton $$ anymore. I do pretty well haunting Marshall's. I'm sort of weird in that I will only buy bags with silver hardware, no gold, and that limits my choices. And they have to be genuine leather.

Your kids aren't supposed to be your "buddies" when they're growing up, they need teaching moments. Ignoring bad behavior doesn't make it go away, it just gets worse, especially when it comes to kids. JMHO.

I would not even leave change sitting out. Does Kiddo have anything valuable such as a phone or iPad? If so, consider taking it, locking it up for the weekend so he gets an idea of what it’s like to have something taken from him. Another possibility is to have him do some kind of work such as cleaning the baseboards or scrubbing the kitchen floor or garage floor on his hands and knees. Talk it over with Mister but it seems that Mister just won’t have difficult conversations. You can’t depend on him to talk to Kiddo.

I got a pricey purse after my mom passed that is leather. It's held up pretty well given it's been 6 years and is my everyday purse. I am starting to see some wear in the bottom corners.

I would also talk about how being a liar and a thief will make people want to have nothing to do with him. I would talk to him about how you can't leave cash laying around anymore because of his behavior. He seems pretty smart, from what you have described, he just doesn't see the long game here. Morals need to be taught to children, most kids don't come with them. I would be in his face just because he is one of your roommates. But I am direct like that.

I am on the hunt for the next great purse. I like a crossbody that is more square shaped than flat. My current purse is a Baggallini which is the correct size, but not a great color. I have had some Stone Mountain purses that served me well. Let's hope something pops up next time I brave the shopping mall.

So I checked out a book of angry cross stitch.
It is right up my alley.

Not cheap, but nice.
