finnime, soupandstew - does the thread show up where it belongs now? I always sort by new topics, so I had to think about what y'all meant by the line. when I posted about my dental adventure yesterday, I'd inadvertently clicked to lock the thread in my reply window. I unclipped, thought it looked weird without a box checked, so i clicked "sticky this thread" source maybe something happened there. everything is unchecked now, so you'll have to let me know if this iteration isn't quite right. I can mess around again later. -chiver mod

So, I'd go to the main YM board and would find it that way because it was usually listed as the last post in the sub-board in the box on the right.

Butters is the name of a character in South Park. That's why I call him that. His name is actually Butter. They have a Butter, a Brie, and a Beef.

I was happy to realize my brain waited till after 4am to start spinning today. Ds has been working on a language arts project for a couple weeks - writing about a hero's journey about someone who has personally impacted him. He's writing about dh's transition which I suggested. Turns out it's a speech not a paper and he's including something about how going to Rocky Horror Picture Show as a teenager- ds age to be exact - opened his eyes to more options than his conservative Christian upbringing had presented. I about died laughing at the idea of Rocky being presented academically to a group of freshman highschoolers. He's gotten good peer reviews on his work so far. Hopefully the teacher is as amused as I was. Rocky doesn't play locally anymore but it is a different world. I remember being completely shocked and disturbed by rocky horror as an early teen…but I think it was more the cannibalism and questionable consent.

Well, it finally happened. Mister asked me what time I’m leaving the house today. I said idk and asked why. He asked if I’ll take YD to work. I said no. He asked why not. I said she doesn’t even speak to me why would I do anything for her? He got off the phone.

I remember one of my friends took me to the Rocky Horror Picture show (with floor show) my freshman year of college. I've forgotten her name, but I can picture her exactly, and she played the bassoon.

Actions have consequences. Stand firm!

Questionable for sure. The cult following I think did create a community.

I love Rocky Horror and the social commentary contained in it. DH usually dislikes it but when I broke down the movie for him he said he liked it better. I understand why for some people it is a ground shattering movie for them.
I watch it every year on Halloween and I have seen it live on stage once.
Plus come on . . . Tim Curry. Tim Curry is a treasure and damn he is hot in a corset/heels.
And Meatloaf who is a fantastic singer.
You can fight me but I don't think Adam Lavine held a candle to Meatloaf when they had Adam play Eddie in the live TV version. Laverne Cox freaking rocked it though.

They need to face the consequences of their codependency.

She is a spoiled, entitled brat and he and her mother have enabled it. She has to adult at some point and since she quit college, it's now.

But if it’s okay for her to pretend I don’t exist even when she walks right past me when she comes in the house, then pretend I don’t exist when she needs something. I don’t want to start my day being trapped in the car with her and all of her negative energy anyway. Uh oh, he just got back home to take her…

I'm sitting around and drinking coffee. I need to get up and moving at some point. I have today and tomorrow to clean my apartment. I also need to take the modem back to Spectrum so they can shut the internet off. I need to alao call the office there and insist that the manager go to my unit and see the water leak that I've been telling them about for months. They keep telling me it's not happening and I keep telling them that it is.

It seems so bizarre to me that he doesn't make her drive. I'm already stalking the driver's ed site to get Carrot in a class next summer right after he hits 15.

If he wants to risk his job and waste his time by being her personal Uber that's 100% on him. He needs to tell her figure out how to drive, get a bike, call an Uber or lace up those walking shoes because he isn't catering to her anymore. She's grown enough to lie about academic probation and choose to drop out she's grown enough to figure out a way to her own damn job. Doesn't she have a boyfriend she can mooch rides off of or is he smarter than that?
