I can carry a tune and keep a beat. But I'm not much of a dancer because of my feet, so I could be a floppy old white lady, trying to dance. I don't drink anymore because of meds and pancreas issues, but I could sure be goofy when I did.

DD and I sing all the time in the car 60's, 70's, and all up music. Little guy has been singing along with us anymore. We all get a good giggle from it.

Today I was doing fish lip sillies singing, little guy says grandma you are silly, yep that's me. DD and I play silly games all the time.

I agree with you. Maybe Mom B needs to get her act together and be more careful with the cigarette butts, or better yet don't smoke when other kids are around. I'd rather discipline Mom B instead of Abby.

Athena, my DIL has had lots of pulmonary problems and now a leaky aortic heart valve because of radiation damage from thoracic cancer treatment. She is probably getting new valve via femoral catheter. TAVR
We’re hoping now that pulmonary problems seem to be ok that the valve treatment will bring her back to health.

Why wait till December if you’re having difficulty

"Difficulty" is relative.  Two weeks ago I was taking 20-mile bike rides on the Katy Trail- a paved-over RR bed so no uphills.  These procedures have a risk- you're loaded with anti-coagulants and if they poke a vein during the procedure and you start bleeding internally you're toast.  I have a FitBit and as long as I see consistent results (resting heartbeat, similar heartbeat patterns with same level of exertion, fast recovery time when the heartbeat gets to Cardio or Peak levels) I'll keep on keeping on.

I wish your DIL well.  It would suck to endure cancer treatments and then have to put up with lingering damage from the treatments themselves.

DH bought Tide. I can't use tide even if it's free and clear. I noticed a scent yesterday and sure as shit I got bumps in various places the clothes touched.

So I had him wash the sheets again this time with no detergent to get every bit of detergent out before I sleep.

I.got enough stuff to last me before we get new detergent fortunately. I.popped an antihistamine yesterday to get rid of the itching. I'll take another tonight to try to shrink the spots.

Fun times.

When I go out somewhere where dancing is involved, I admire the people that just go for it, even if they aren’t good at it. I want to be like them. Dancing just because it feels good, regardless of what other people think it looks like. I can’t do that. I would be embarrassed. 

The part of my issue that I’m describing probably sounds silly. But there are other, deeper issues that pertain to the same thing, but I’m n willing to get into all that right now.

Same.  I can't get the beat, let alone carry the beat.  I have no rhythm in me whatsoever.  

I used to go for it a lot more than I do know.  Some of those times may have been due to imbibing some substances.  I no longer do that.  

Next summer when I go to Toronto, I'm coming home through Memphis.  You can teach me to dance even if I have no rhythm.

I don't think it's fair that my sister can dance and I can't.  Neither can her husband.  She got all the rhythm for both of us.

Monday Night Piano Bar had some technical difficulties so it was all guitar music, which is not the first instrument the artist learned.  She is not totally comfortable with it.

She ended with Paul McCartney's Mull of Kintyre, which is one of my favorite songs.  I was singing along to the chorus and both cats took off.

Not only can I not dance, but I can't sing.

I tried out for choir in 7th grade and didn't get in.  People I have told that to who went to school with me say "I thought everyone got in".  Not me.

I live in New Mexico so just usually buy enchiladas, but sometimes I really crave TexMex style. I can't get that here so I make it at home.

Supposed to rain again tomorrow, jeez. Well, grandson is here another week, so hoping we get the fishing and swimming in yet. It would have been cool today. I got him some floaties and didn't realize his weight was at the upper level  for them, they just barely fit. There were no belts for DD, so ordering her one tonight. We will likely end up going to the Y anyway to a heated pool for her.

And there are flood warnings out all over the place and more rain to come, the next few days.

Kitties are downstairs, baths are done. Little guy was not happy he had to go to bed, he wanted to stay up another hour. But he always goes to sleep pretty quickly at night. He doesn't like it and sometimes is mad but gets over it pretty quickly. 

We had fun today I think and ended up getting him another pair of shoes, LOL! He has one pair to big, the next pretty big, this pair will fit him now, so that's ok. They will get him through the winter.

I use Allergy Free ALL. I have some sensitive skin Tide I got on sale at Ollie's but it still bothers me. I also stick with Dove or Caress soap and we have a water softener or I would itch to pieces with cholorine in the water. It bothers, DD too. Our house in Texas had the absolute best water and best tasting, we had a new well drilled and I didn't like it at all, was much harsher.

I think he is asleep already and hasn't even been in bed 20 minutes.

His dad and mom moved their TV to another room, as they moved their living room. I think it was keeping him awake at night. Though his dad goes to bed pretty early too.

I too didn't get in--albeit for me it was youth choir at church. I had no idea that people could actually tell the difference between notes plus could control how they made sounds.

We're having triple digit heat every day this week. I've been privileged enough to not leave my air conditioned house after 10am today. I watered my flowers twice today. 

I had a fat day, so I tried to make myself feel better by having eight almond cookies and five chocolate covered strawberries. 

I made chicken stir fry today with veggies and chicken from the farmer's market. 

I'm watching baseball now. I'll likely take my pity party to bed by 8:30.

I see where our county covid cases just moved to a high level, we likely should be wearing masks again.

I need to add me to the doc tomorrow. I have a place on my left wrist, started about a month or so ago. It's a lump at least 2 inches long and an inch wide. It is rather soft but sometimes pain starts radiating from it. A few years back had a tumor removed from a finger, wondering if this is the same. The other was a giant cell tumor, the hand doc sent it off for a biopsy, said he had never heard of one. Apparently it's a rare aggressive tumor but not cancerous. It is near the end of my arm bone at the wrist

Today at Olive Garden, DD was waiting for us in the lobby, she had gone to the bathroom, Than grandson and I went. When we got out there he went over and got her hand for us to go to the car. He always does that with her when we go somewhere. I see people look and I wonder if he realizes it. But to me and her as long as it lasts, it is one of the sweetest things he does. His dad never did that and still doesn't say much about her. I think when he becomes a young teen that he may be embarrased by her, but we will find out as time goes on. Still for now, it warms my heart. What a kind young kid.

The junk hauler came yesterday and removed a two huge piles of trash. Now the house is close to being empty enough to accept the Pod contents to be moved in Thursday. We did not, in the end, get any rain yesterday and none is predicted for the next week+.

I've been spending money at a prodigious rate. In addition to the costs of next week, when we go to the DMV for basically one day, I ordered yesterday from Costco a Vitamix that DH has been wanting for a long time; a shade for the bathroom that I forgot to include in my first order; shoe benches and $200 frying pans that promise a lifetime of searing, carmelizing and sauteing pleasure. Costco has claimed my soul.

Today I'll spread the enzymatic cleaner in the basement and cover the floor with tarps to allow the enzymes time to work down into the concrete. The cat pee stink will be vanquished.

I love Costco but I'm really careful about impulse purchases there. (I know you're setting up a new house so you're in a different situation.) The finance guru Jim Cramer joked that you go in planning to buy a few groceries and you come out with groceries, Christmas decorations, some electronics you didn't know you needed, etc. I also like them because when it comes to big-ticket items like appliances, mattresses and tires, where prices are all over the place and you have no idea what's just hype, they narrow it down to a few choices. Last week I bought a few items of clothing for my upcoming trip and a lot of toiletries for a charity drive at church and spent over $300. I told the guy at the exit I was glad I owned Costco stock.

I am so tired I can barely get up from my desk.  Dad was at the hospital all last night.  He doesn't have any updates.   This being in limbo thing is driving me insane.   I wanted to go up last night but I had a panic attack, I just couldn't do another day at the hospital.  But then my dad has been there almost 24/7 so who am I to talk?

I want to dissolve into a puddle.  Honestly thank God for my current job, it is distracting enough but not dangerous enough I am risking people or animal safety by being distracted as I am.  There is relatively little I can screw up that can't be fixed.  I stopped going at my normal pace and slowed down quite a bit both for my physical health and so I am making sure to cross check everything before I commit rather than going on autopilot like normal.

I should probably find time to call the EAP today.   I'd like to go see mom today DH said he'd come up with me after work if I wanted to.  Need to see if he is still willing to do that.

Walked off without grandma's checkbook.  I fell asleep last night about 10 minutes after I told myself I needed to get it out of the safe.  I emailed DH and I am going to have him read the numbers to me over the phone.  I don't need the actual check.  Need to take care of that because the last thing any of us need is me unintentionally kicking that hornet's nest.

Resturant is closed again tonight.  Tuesdays are wonky business days my dad decided it was easier to close we're probably not going to bring in a ton anyhow and this saves on overhead.  Plus I do think my brother probably needs a break as well.
