I went to the open houses for Malone and Yecker. Both are a no. Malone is nice, but the rooms are small. The backyard is fabulous though.
Yesterday had big cracks in the front steps. It looked like one side was going to fall off. There were tiles coming off the floor in the basement. The current owns have only lived there 2 years. I find it suspicious. There is a quite nosy old man that lives across the street. I'd love to know what he knows.

We're at the Rainforest Cafe and it's AWESOME.
This was a bucket list since I saw it on the Travel Channel.
So hokey but it makes me think of the game show Legend of the Temple on Nickelodeon.
DH never wants to go to a mall again.

I am with your DH, I would be happy never to go to a mall again, but looks like it is a local one on Monday for back to school shopping for my youngest and some interview clothes for the oldest. Her August deadline for job hunting is coming up soon.

I never cared for indoor malls. I would find nothing enjoyable about going to the Mall of America. I have been asked to go many times, but I've never been interested.
I was not interested when I was already in town.
Shopping has never been my thing. It was a necessary evil and that is the way I still feel about it.

Am I the only one annoyed that the back-to-school stuff is fully stocked in the stores? I get it, a lot of schools start up again in August (most schools here start after Labor Day), but for me personally Summer has barely begun, and I don't want to even think about Fall. At least not yet. (And yes, I was in the retail industry for a time, so I know they're always at least one season ahead of the "real world".) I didn't realize it was time for that either. I know here parents seem to be crazed until about mid September. Schools start later here than they did in Illinois. But if its school supply time, its time for me to stock up too.

Places want donations of school supplies for distribution by early august so they can distribute mid august. I even think my summer break for teaching is going to be done in July. (meaning, in August, it will be nearly full throttle). I'm starting to get a few things for Christmas/St Nicks. I'm still behind with the school supplies stuff, but I think it will be OK. Summer has just evaporated.

I saw something today on FB which helped me understand some people. It said that a narcissist will never tell the truth, they will spin a tale in which they are either the victim or the hero. That makes so much sense.

I'm going to take a shower, put on a sheet facial and probably fall asleep while DH watches TV. Tomorrow is more mopping, weed pulling and laundry. I wish good sleep for all.

DH never wants to go to a mall again. We went there for lunch after getting picked up from a flight. It was pretty hokey, but the kids liked it. These days, I hate going to malls. Just went to the local one so TD could get his suit fitted. We parked at the door that was the closest to where we needed to be, went directly to the store, did not pass GO, did not collect $200.

Lots of wildlife today!
A group of five deer: one fawn, three doe, and a two-point buck about 20 minutes ago. If I had to guess the buck is last years youngster, and mom will likely boot him soon.
After we got back from lunch and errands around 4, there were three more mature buck. They were on the vacant property across the road and 6-8 points each.
DH went down to get mail around 6 and there was the fox was sitting at the side of the road. We think it has a den under the vacant building adjacent to our property.
The groundhog was also running around the edge of the front yard. We think it has a den in the stream bank.
We have at least 3 pair of hummers having epic fights for the two feeders we keep. The new cable rails give the dominant ones prime real estate to protect their feeder. We keep one at each end of the porch, so roughly 45’ apart.
Mama Carolina wren’s eggs hatched about a week ago. She built a nest in one of my hanging fuchsia, so she has been busy feeding, I think, 4 babies.

Noooo. I made the mistake of letting Abby go with Dh in Des Moines. She ended up with a $120 Stitch because DH didn't realize the accessories weren't free. Ugh. She loves it though. We have a much cheaper local one in Westroads Mall. She doesn't have the name brand characters but they are good quality.

I hate doing housework, but hate washing floors in particular. I loathe washing floors with the white-hot rage of a thousand blazing suns. I used to do it on my hands and knees, but my knees aren't up to that punishment anymore. So, today I decided to wash the hardwood throughout the apartment, and the tile floors in the kitchen, with one of those sponge mops that you squeeze out. The floors still looked like crap. Then I brought out the big guns, the Swiffer Wet Mop. It has batteries and everything, so what could possibly go wrong? The floors still looked like crap. This is an activity I enjoy most on high-heat and high humidity, as I lose about half my body weight in sweat. I ended up doing the floors on my hands and knees. Couldn't get up.

Looks like we're haggling on the 84th house. If this doesn't happen, I may just make an offer on Tullis. 84th is just as far away as Tullis and it's cheaper to live in MO. It will be a PITA to move everything over, but it will be a one time thing.

We went to the reunion. Our local small town lady catered it. The food was very good and the desserts good too. Hubs really enjoyed it, so worthwhile. We ended up with all guys at our table. About 3 of them had wives who had passed away. They read off the deaths and almost half of hubs class is deceased. So many of those there were in bad shape. Lots on walkers, one on oxygen, and several on crutches. We look so healthy in relation. I can't believe so many are in that condition. Hubs has worked to lose weight and looks so nice. He has lost his belly, so proud of him.
I called yesterday to the Treasury number. I told the lady what I had done so far about my lost bonds, She said I had all the correct paperwork and my Treasury direct account is open, so I need to fill out the paperwork and send it in. She said it will take up to 6 months to get the paperwork processed. Darn, an awfully long time. But I don't intend to cash any more in anyway, wouldn't have had to now if we had been able to sell the one house.
I'm about ready for bed, its just around 10
My neighbor brought us some more tomatoes and cukes. I just ate a tomato, nothing better than one fresh out of the garden, so tasty.
Things in the house are coming together nicely, we may actually pull it altogether by the time the shipper comes. Hubs and I would have never made it without the guys help, we sure needed it.

Making lunch after having achieved a lazy breakfast. Wondering if I should try to get me and the rollator to the Spanish market for a couple things or drug store. The rollator definitely has its issues, but the under-seat storage makes a nice shopping basket. What is rollator, post a pic
