I got a bruise on my butt from one of the water slides I went down yesterday.
Not a fun place to have a bruise I am finding out this morning.

Thanks for the advice.
I'm going to ignore Musicbed unless I see a charge for it.

I need a cleaning fairy too, but I'm too frugal to pay for one. Which means I'm stuck with the job. DH helps when he can, but he's working more hours in one week than most men work in two. I am worried his company is going to wear him out.

Right now Carolina wrens are making a nest in one of them, so watering is a challenge!

countrygirl2 , good luck with the move. I think it’s smart you’re doing this while you still can. Speaking from the perspective of the child whose father won’t admit he needs help and can’t live independently thousands of miles away from his kids and is making everything exponentially harder than it needs to be, I admire what your doing. I know it’s hard, but hopefully once you get all moved and settled, you’ll be happy with your decision. im heading home today. From the mess with my parents to my DH and his mess. He had a tooth pulled yesterday and is miserable and Monday he has to have a precancerous spot on his removed, which since this is the second one, we know how painful it will be. At this point, I think I’m actually looking forward to moving up here next summer. I’ve been joking for almost 20 years how we’re all gonna need to live in a compound so I can easily take of all 3 of them, but now I think I’m seriously, lol. It will be so much easier to be 30 minutes away instead of a 3 hour flight. So much this! My MIL just had an accident last week. It was her fault, she made a left hand turn in front of traffic and was t boned. She is ok, her car is fixable, the other guy’s ok but car is totaled. Her driving days are limited, and I think she realizes this. This woman looooves to drive, and thinks nothing of jumping in her car to drive the 7 hours to her daughter. She set herself up that driving is not imperative for her to get the necessities of life. Had she remained in her other house, not so much as she was in a community where a car was necessary. TD is going to talk to his sister since she tends to drive with her mom regularly to see if getting their mom to hang up her car keys is something they should do. This is going to be hard.

I got a bruise on my butt from one of the water slides I went down yesterday. Not a fun place to have a bruise I am finding out this morning. I hear you! I slipped on a step and caught the edge of the stair on my tailbone. I had a 12”x 1” bruise where I landed on th3 edge of the stair. I spent a week sitting straight up, leaning forward. It was a long week!

I just got back from the hospital. Good news and bad news. The goods news is that my heart is fine. The bad news is that the mass in my lung looks malignant. I have a referral for the McGill University Health Center. It says *Urgent*. I was going to call Monday, but I forgot that it's Canada Day. I need a nap, a bath, and some good food. Sleeping in the cardiac ER is impossible. Machines beeping, beeping, beeping. Staff running around. Patients shouting. The food was horrific, so I barely ate. Looking forward to calamari after my nap. I have a lot of catching up to do on this board. I'm so sorry to hear this. Take care of yourself and keep us posted. Hugs!

I'm already over the heat. I'm in for the day except for moving the sprinkler around. I knocked out a lot of weeding that was overdue, though.

I guess I should cut up the fruit I bought before I mop floors. Macy will make herself available for quality control. She's a giver.

So DQ might love this. I am borderline falling apart. Did not have breakfast but managed to bring in a partial slice of bread to work. One of my usual customers came in and asked how I was doing. I originally deflected but then said opposite after he said he was doing fine. My boss piped up that she's OK or fine. I wasn't going to let that shit go, so then I decided to share with him I wasn't sleeping well ... He did the usual I hope you'll feel better soon and I optimistically replied something like hopefully sometime early next week. I am so over bosses telling me I'm OK when I am not. I am sick of them fiving sympathy noises to coworkers whose sinuses aren't stuck and aren't draining. I wish I was that healthy. I am aspiring to that. But I get you don't know what you don't know, but you damn well could ask. Its a four person workplace versus my 3 person team to cover the desk. Its not hard unless you like to sit on you lazy ass and assume because you are a manager. The job I am applying to might have a boss that is more analytical like me. Which will be a better match than a conservative a decade younger than me. We have some detente, but the golden child just turned 23 and her daughter might be 25 or so. So boss wants to help the young one who already has housing subsidized by grandparents, on dad's insurance and just bought a decent only a couple years old car. Ignore the 64 yr old who had to take this job at a paycut of a $1/hr continuing the skate of barely above minimum wage FT jobs.

Made our favorite breakfast of smoked salmon on avocado toast with an egg, and sliced mangoes. Then we dropped the old ATT equipment off at FedEx and went across town to the "big" grocery so DH could get chips and a dip for dinner Sunday. I need to post a CC statement in Quicken and dust the living room.

I could use someone to clean my apartment. I might have useful stuff I could give away so you might be able to be paid in stuff I should be getting rid of anyway, like clothes or decorations or even canned food that's still good. Young coworker did sell stuff on Poshmark successfully. Sounds like selling stuff on consignment, but through the Internet. Might give that a go if I find out how the shipping goes. Getting to a post office or UPS shipping is a non-trivial matter where I live with my NJ transit bus area. I think I get to spend more there too (15% increase approved, effective July) along with my rent hike, Tmobile price increase and looks like a wicked PSE&G pricing (First time to break $200 in amonth and my a/c is set for 76).

Heal well, time to eat lunch/breakfast.

Well, I cleaned my bathroom. That's progress. I'm back to sitting on my ass again. Yeah. All I've pretty much done today is sit on my rear. I've been working on my english paper piecing project in anticipation for my retreat. I don't want to waste precious retreat time. And, I really should start working on my projects. It's this quilt: www.homesteadhearth.com/7c9112b9-7b58-48b2-a85d-84dae39af489/maggie-maguires-garden.htm The woman who made the original was very careful about cutting out all the pieces individually, what kind of designs you could make from the pattern print (aka fussy cutting). Ain't no one got time for that. I am continually shocked at how much time women spent on quilts, when you know they were doing things like beating rugs and making their own soap. And they actually finished the damn things.

I got almost everything done. I'm sitting on my ass waiting for the floors to dry. Then I'll vacuum the living room and be done. After that I'll wash the stank off of myself and find something to do.

I got a decent amount of work done today -- weeding outside for an hour this morning, laundry, washed floors, made cookie dough to bake tomorrow. I had a severe allergic reaction to the oak tree in the yard (it's fine just growing out there, but the sap made contact with my face and eyes when we cut and dragged some broken limbs out of the yard). I have a week of Benadryl Extra, antibiotic eye drops and antihistamines to look forward to, but I do look and feel better. Pretty simple chicken and rice for dinner tonight.
