Would anyone like a dog? I just took the twins out for the last time tonight. Macy was first. I went out before them to make sure the little dogs next door weren't out. The twins won't hurt them, but they're a lot.
I didn't see a cat that was outside. It ran off and she ran after it. She was tied up so she didn't get it. She really did try and get the collar off her though. I brought her inside and told her that I'm gonna slap the shit out of her and instead took Jackson outside. He behaved. Do you know what the bitch did?! She promptly went upstairs and shit at the top of the stairs. I'll hand deliver her if needed. I'm so over her.

I feel like you're constantly mopping the floor. Feel free to come here and do it. I have food/booze. I only mop once a week but require daily food/booze so maybe not that good a deal Same. So you would be in the right place. Am I convincing you yet?

Forgot a 7am meeting until a participant called my cell asking to reschedule. I was up just not logged in yet, and of course as soon as I tried laptop froze - had to restart which triggered an update. Meeting held at 7:30. Now I just want to go back to bed. Who schedules meetings at 7 am?! That's just wrong. We work with clients around the globe. Worst time wise is Japan, we have weekly 7am meeting (Us EST, think it is 7 or 8pm there). I also have to do tracing for night shift operations team about once every other month, that is 6pm meeting two days in a row.

So had the meeting with my bosses executive coach. I was well prepared with the negatives but managed to come up with some positives.
Talked to DS about his work issues. He said he made it through PIP period and still has a job. He also had a project presentation today and he got a compliment from the VP in front of his boss. I told him to be very careful going forward if his boss may still be trying to get rid of him.

Ours definitely have the "a$$hole" gene, they just take turns being little jerks.

Dc got their 2nd degree brown belt tonight. The system would give the rank regardless of skill if you put in the effort at that age, but dc has come so far. So many things come really easy for dc, but jiu-jitsu isnt one of them. I'm still proud of the easy things they do well but I really tried to emphasize to dc how impressive their resilience and commitment has been.
Also, ds came to the grading to support dc - 100% his own choice. He pretty much hates jiu-jitsu at this point but knew it was important to dc.

On top of having pneumonia, I haven't felt well today (feverish and like I was going to ther up). I stayed in bed and slept. Tonight I needed to turn the light off in the fish tank and check the cat's water fountain. I also was going to clean the litter box. I got the fish light off and went downstairs. Got the cat's fountain and although it still had water, I decided to give her fresh water. After dumping the water out and rinsing the filters, I suddenly got really sick and weak. I ended up with a towel, laying on the bathroom floor ("Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!" kept going through my head.) I laid there trying to throw up, but there was nothing in my stomach. Finally, I just laid there, wondering who I could call, besides 911. I couldn't think of anyone. Decided DD2 and family would come home and find me there. And the cat with no water. Great. After what felt like forever, I was finally able to get on my hands and knees. There was hope! I got to my feet and steadied myself at the counter. I filled the cat fountain and got it to the cat's room. Feeling faint, I didn't even check the litter box. I slowly made it to the stairs, then back to bed. My guess is, I'm dehydrated, on top of the pneumonia. I may still be here, when DD2 gets home, Sunday night. Not that I want to be. But if I can't pull myself together, tomorrow, I'm not going anywhere. Boy, do I feel old.

You are the dominant human female, and she is the dominant bitch (dog). She knows you rule the household, but she is not happy about it. Jackson's place is assured as he is the only male of your house. Plus, he's your first dog of the two, so she will be jealous about that as well.

But if I can't pull myself together, tomorrow, I'm not going anywhere. Boy, do I feel old. TMR you have to leave. Dehydration is no joke. I have managed to avoid the hospital twice when I was way too close to passing out or not pulling it off (dehydrated but not past the must be hospitalized point). Dehydration plus pneumonia bad. Real bad. I don't think you should stay there, because your DD2 is not going to believe its that bad. Keep the fish tank light off. What kind of fish are they and does the tank use a heater? Top off the water for the cat, your DD2 really should have sprung for ones of those pet watering systems that can be hooked up to a hose or faucet and autofills. Please seriously consider calling an ambulance if needed before DD2 comes home. Given what you have posted here, DD2 and her hubby will not spring into action to get you home and get you care. Sign up for one of those life alert services as soon as you get better enough to be home. That is one concession my dad was willing to make. Remember he did fall. He did not get up. He did break bones and was on the floor too proud to call for help ... and 25 hours later I think he was taken to the hospital. Fall plus dehydration at a minimum. Possibly altered mental status from that state of dehydration / kidney infection. I would call in all your favors today to get you home safe if you don't want to be in a hospital. Leave your car in her driveway if you must. Your goal is to survive to another day.

I may have to get a pro level slingshot and some steel BB's because my neighbor's motion-sensing light is on my last nerve AGAIN. That thing is about 5000 watts and lights up the planet every single time I walk down the central hallway in our house or enter any of the 3 bedrooms. I can't even take a middle-of-the-night potty break without it looking like Clark Griswald finally got all his Christmas lights to work Sorry.

When I screwed up badly with my hydration getting deeply into dehydration, terroritory, I just kept drinking (adding) water ti my system until the worst had past. Lack of water can make you extremely weak and sick. Once you are through the worst of it you can hydrate up more by eating high water content food. In my case there will be much peeing as my body processes the water and in my lay opinion, does a bunch of body functions that were waiting on new hydration to enter the body. I don't really know what happens, but our bodies are meant to take in water and pass out water (urine, sweat) daily. I need flavored water/liquids to accomplish that for myself. I also find that when I am sad or real upset I have a tendency to drink much less and eat less which heads me towards dehydraton station. So please take care of yourself. I think you will be alive and on the planet years more than my dad, so selfishly I want to try to insure that will be true. And as you know I am old too, officially over 60, but less old than you are. Please take care yourself today. I have to check my optimism and see when my boss leaves for vacay. Just her leaving the state will lower anxiety in the office by a gazillion degrees.

I am up because I didn't quite pull off going to bed b4 midnight. So I am cleaning my humidifier since sleep helper won't put me to sleep fully until at least 2 am, so I might as well try to clean some crud off it and then put on its max setting while I sleep. Did not neti pot today, should line up all my plastic options and consider buying a plastic version of my ceramic neti pot. I broke its predecessor during one of these sinus infection crashes and I'm trying to do a full stop on my spending given my next paycheck might be zero or negative given how this company pulls your medical insurance etc. out of your paycheck. That might have been the subject of my boss's calls? maybe, but I still think if you are better off medically than me the employee you should just take your best guess as to what to do, you are the paid head of our office and just move on like a sensible adult/boss. (I know the sensible boss thing is far too rare, yet I hope ...)

When my XH was considering letting me get a dog, I read extensively on the subject. One book concerned when dog ownership goes had, like not enough training of the dog or getting the wrong dog for you and your situation. The story I remember the most was about a black standard sized schnauzer named Satan. He ruled the home with an iron paw because the adults in the family did not know how to be pack leader with him. Apparently were not capable of it.

I talked them out of the ambulance, and they hooked me up to 2 IVs instead. That's why I think it was dehydration, causing my illness. I'm working on my fluid intake. One thing I do believe, with all my heart, is that if DD2 and/or her husband understood how sick I am, they would do anything in their power, to get me the help I need. Until it happened, even I didn't realize how sick I am. As soon as I realized it, I knew I needed to take care of me. If need be, the fish and the cat will both be okay for one day, until they get home on Sunday. I know that. I have contacted my doctor, through their portal, letting her know what's going on. I have a text message written out to DD2, explaining what happened. I just haven't sent it yet. I'm feeling much better now, but I know I have a ways to go. I will go home, as soon as I feel able to drive there safely. Otherwise, my butt is staying in their bed, until they can take me and my car home, on Sunday. My grandmother fell in her bathroom and died. My sister found her. I kept thinking of that, as I laid on the floor. And that darn commercial! That's what made me feel so old! Thank goodness I didn't fall. I laid down, so I wouldn't get hurt. Getting old sucks. I had no idea. I hope you get feeling better and have a good weekend.

Good morning, enduring invisipeeps, weathering toxic bosses, illness and too much to do in too little time. I hope your Saturday offers a reprieve from all that is not good in your life, but provides reason to celebrate. I truly hope, toomuchreality, that you take in enough fluids to return to feeling good, and the antibiotics do their job on the pneumonia. I've got to finish getting ready for the festival this afternoon. Spent yesterday doing some of that and setting up the festival DH will be handling. DSis is coming for support. She'll stay with DH in town and help out; his is 10 - 3 and mine, 1/2 hour away, is 12 - 3. Yesterday I inventoried all 60+ frames I bought and brought them down to store in the basement. And I transferred some funds from an investment account to my pay bills account. We've had an expensive couple of months including 4 new tires warranteed for 60,000 miles. They followed the very expensive July and August with DD moving from Maryland. I'm hesitating on applying for a job that I appear to be well suited for at a company I've known for 40 years. The Glass Door commentary on this company for the last 2 years is really bad, since they got a new CEO. If I were well insulated I could deal with that, I think, but I'm afraid I would not be removed enough. Need to get photos in sleeves and finish getting ready otherwise. This is yesterday's barest beginnings of dawn, with Brants swimming:

Managed to piece together about 3 hours of sleep after bad indigestion and hours of dry heaving. Will try to fit in a nap later. Chiropractor at 1030, followed by grocery store, and laundry to prepare for my trip. Need to figure out how to get enough cold weather clothes in my carryon because I really do not want to have to check a bag.

How does the Chiropractor help you?

You are old. When I screwed up badly with my hydration getting deeply into dehydration, terroritory, I just kept drinking (adding) water ti my system until the worst had past. Thank goodness I didn't fall. I laid down, so I wouldn't get hurt. Getting old sucks. I had no idea. I hope you get feeling better and have a good weekend. I agree if they understood it they would help, but I spent years of my family thinking "mental illness" when in reality it has always been a stuck sinus infection. For me, when my sinuses don't drain, I stop sleeping and it eventually leads to being unable to sleep and the side effects that causes. MS did finally develop allergies later in life which did give her some idea of the suffering and protocols YS, Dad and sometimes mom lived with. And me of course. Do you have a geriatric doctor? Mybe there is a brochure somewhere about dehydration that you could get two of. One for you to keep as a reminder, and the other for DD2 and her DH. Seeing it in an official form might help. We all get old or die younger than we prefer. Its how this human existence goes. If you figure out how to reverse age let me know. Did not do as well tonight on sleep. Having that HR call where she had no agenda was clearly a fishing expedition. And I do not approve of such unless we are actually fishing for walleye, sea bass or something that is not used to potentially evaluate my fitness, etc. Because now I don't know what silly ideas and biases you have in your head, so I can't defend against them. Really all I can do is steel myself like a warrior, go into work, and try to reach out to people above my boss and develop relationships with them. And since I am going through my ground hog experience take 2, I think about the past as I try to work things out. At least if I were sleeping I would not be awake for that part and if I remembered the dream it might be noteworthy enough to journal it.

Yikes. Why the dry heaving and indigestion? How does the Chiropractor help you? Chiropractor appointment was set weeks ago. I go regularly to avoid headaches. I think the ranch dressing I had with dinner may have old.

I think the ranch dressing I had with dinner may have old. I used to go because I need to keep my back in alignment and to stop storing stress in my neck and shoulders. I wonder if the DO who did my doctor's note can do something similar. Old or bad food can really disturb one's health. I hope the worst has passed on the indigestion and dry heaves.

Found out the process for returning some boots to TSC since the 30 days is past. Need to make it to the store. Need to print out at least one of the shipping emails from my free email account and bring that and the boots to the store. So now to find someone who is willing to take me there and spend sometime doing so. I might end up with a store credit but the person I talked to said I can use that store credit online and it does not expire. My goal today was to get romaine lettuce and possibly some hair color to test light red out on me. Tis the season to be foxy. It would be a huge bonus to get those boots out of my house and get that addressed. And then I can breakdown the shipping box too instead of saving it.

I need to take inventory of Christmas gifts. I'm shockingly about done. I need to order/schedule the blacksmithing class for ds and decide on an experience gift for dc. Find a gift for dsis and her roommate. Possibly order 1 more item for dh. I forgot I was going to get him a new weighted blanket because ds stole his nice one.
Dh hasn't done anything for his family yet, but I have the album for his parents and unless he says he needs help I'm going to leave the rest to him.

Just got back from the farmer's market and so glad to see great vendors, many of whom I patronized 4 years ago at another location. We got some wonderful beets with their greens (if you haven't tried beet greens, you are missing something good) and some Swiss chard. I think next week I'm going to get some gumbo because I talked to the owner and got a sample-it's the real deal and he's from Louisiana.

Looking at the yearly gym membership. We paid 716 for it and have gone 140 times so far. Ignoring that we have 3 weeks left, per visit we're at 5.65 per visit which is higher than a per punch pass I could by in groups of 20 for the kids. But I'd still be looking at purchasing $700 of punch cards this month to get their discount and then we're limited to that #, vs spending the same on the annual membership and having the option to use it more. I know I'd like to use it more and ds is really getting into weight lifting now. I wish I could see a per month breakdown of who went when, but I think I'll regret passing up on the annual pass.
The other piece is that we are putting together a pretty nice work out space in our basement. But I need mostly open space down there so I don't see it truly replacing the gym.

I would probably prefer the beet greens over the beets themselves ... Opti sees herself out.

Tmr - check in and let us know how you're doing. Thanks. I'm doing pretty well today. I still have the pneumonia stuff and some indigestion, but the lightheaded, sick part, seems to be gone. Thank goodness. I'm going to pack up today and get ready to go home. I'll leave in the morning, I think. I should wash the sheets and remake her bed. But I don't think I have that much energy. We'll see.

I talked with Kiddo last night, to get his version of what happened at school last week. I didn’t fuss at him, it was just a conversation. I told him I would support whatever consequences his parents imposed, I just wanted to talk about why he had such a bad week at school. For each incident, he told me what happened, then we discussed ways he could have handled himself better. One big thing is that he needs to mind his own business and let his teacher run her classroom and deal with his classmates. He seemed relieved that I was just calmly talking to him and listening to what he said, and not fussing at him, and he didn’t get an attitude or anything. Hopefully he remembers some of my suggestions about how he can keep himself out of trouble.
