We made it to Olympia. The flight was close to an hour late leaving, made up some of the time going up. About half an hour late though. Son had to work tomorrow and he is like his dad goes to bed about 9 as he gets up really early. So this is late for him. Then realized the keys to the house and my car was at his house, so had to run by there to get them. But I'm home, DD is in bed, the place warmed up, I'm showered sitting and about ready to go to bed. Taking pills and eating maybe a can of tuna, I'm nibbling on it. Eating food with the sulfa drug is better otherwise messes with my stomach a bit. The outside of the mobile looks great, even in the dark I can see it. I'm sure it will be very pretty tomorrow in the daylight. We need motion detector outside lights so you can see to unlock the door. The house smells stored, so going to have to use something to help alleviate that odor. Hubs brought up some wool area rugs we no longer use and put them down, they look great in here. Looks like a rent increase in October already, $45 a month, so not too bad, but also says they can raise if taxes and such go up during the year. Don't remember reading that anywhere. Well here's hoping. Just glad to be here, going to see what an upgrade to 1st class cost for next time. I think it would be a lot more comfortable, but likely prohibitive. My friends with vacation homes use a combination of Damp Rid and open bowls of vinegar in each room to reduce the musty, closed-up for months, smell

I need to see if our town or county library has ancestry.com . Wow, some libraries have a lot of genealogy help! If our library has ancestry I will stop my subscription $26/month

As we are talking Covid anyway: I just bought a pack of 75 surgical masks for $2.99 at Costco. Not that I needed them but I just couldn't resist. A quick search in my Amazon history shows that in May 2020 I bought a box of 50 masks for $43.59!!! And I was glad to have them at the time Now there is something that has not suffered from inflation like just about everything else has Yep. I have a box in my car. I put some in my bag and kept the rest in my glove box so I wouldn't be caught without a mask and then not be able to enter a building. They just kind of sit there now.

y'all, I went back for seconds of the pasta, and I want to curl up in a ball on the couch. I forgot to move my sheets and stuff from the washer to the dryer before I left this am (LD came in with muddy paws at 2am ) and so I'd need to at least re-rinse and spin first. did I think to do that when I first got home? no. oh, and I just stumbled onto Ocean's Eleven - the Clooney/Pitt remake, right as they are starting the actual heist. so we all know I'm not leaving the couch until at least 845 when it's over lol... I may just sleep down here tonight. Honestly, I would just because I'm lazy and don't want to be making the bed before I can get into it.

You can smell the smoke from the Canada fires here in Virginia. I won't be going out today.

I need to order an ironing board. Our air quality is really bad here too. I didn't realize the fires are still burning. We talked about how it looked like smoke, guess it is. Apparently while there are fewer fires, and not by much, some new ones started from lighting strikes. I am concerned that smoke will be headed our way and I am struggling enough without adding walking through wildfire smoke to my days. Any news on your car? It’s been a long time.

It's only mid-morning and my eyes are already watering due to the wildfire smoke here. Strange since I haven't been outside yet today. We're supposed to get some storms in mid to late afternoon, which I would actually welcome if it would clean up the air.
We've got bright sunlight & haze right now, although it's a bit cooler than average.

Made plane reservations for mid-September. To Albuquerque, drive to Denver, then fly home. See old friends and visit DS. So that's done.

Mopping the floors on the way out of the house when I plan to be gone seems to really help the "closed up" smell from developing. That and empty the vacuum cleaner. That dirt hanging around for months can get nasty smelling.

We had a very brief power outage, just long enough to have to reset the microwave and stuff. Still texting with one group. This happened last week. It's super annoying. I was just starting to make dinner too when it happened. I told my cousin that it's the electric company's way of telling me to diet.

Has anyone seen my motivation? I think it was last seen with my will to live. It's probably sitting with my desire to apply for more jobs. (There's two more I should apply for in the next week or so). I also don't know where I put a small knitting project. Which would be OK. I don't care about the yarn, but I do care about the needles. They are my good/favorite needles. I also need to cast on some new projects. I sat down for 20 minutes last night and I had nothing to work on. I hate the grind. (I'm just a peach, aren't I).

I'm up and awake about an hour. Going to go to the grocery, DD is ready, I need to get my clothes on and makeup. I ca't believe the furnace is running, looks like the temp out is 60. Just need a bit. Last night we were really cold so turned it on.
Need to call hubs and DIL. I told son last night, I would see them this afternoon, that I was dead tired. Looks like next month he is going to be traveling 3 weeks out of 4. But he said at least he didn't have to go to Indonesia like they originally said. Since covid he sure has been busy.

So we need to make a missing poster for my motivation and will to live. Andi's fucks to give and Gira's desire to apply for more jobs. Maybe they are at a bar? I would like to find them at a bar. I'm sure if I drink enough I'll find them at the bottom of a glass.

Things said in the Gira household: The missy "Well, I am a purple missy today." She is dressed all in purple that does not match. Me: "Eyeshadow is for our eyes, not our nose." Nor our forehead, for that matter. I think I should get her private lessons with Andi.

I'm willing to start emptying glasses to find missing motivation. I'm on vacation next week, and I have a bunch of crap to finish up before that. My morning has gone sideways. I'm trying to hand off a contract, and it's pesky. Part of me wants to say I've carried it for a decade figure it out.

I almost fell for a scam for the first time. Even worse, it wouldn’t have been me losing thousands of dollars, it would’ve been Mister, his brother and my cousin. One of my FB friends that I use to work with years ago posted that her husband had gotten a promotion and they were selling a lot of big stuff so they wouldn’t have to move it out of state. My folks were ready to buy certain items once I got the PayPal info, based on me saying I knew her and she was trustworthy. My spidey senses went off the second time I asked her to call me, and they said they could only do messenger. She and I actually talked on the phone a couple years ago, but I didn’t save her number, so I couldn’t just call her. I started digging and realized her page had probably been hacked. The last real post she made was on June 3rd, pics of her Grandchildren playing in her pool. After that it was 2 posts from friend/family that tagged her, then the one yesterday about the stuff for sale. Y’all, I am so glad my spidey senses finally engaged. That’s the closest I’ve ever come to getting scammed, I’m usually a lot better at detecting scams, immediately. I would’ve felt horrible if my folks had lost their money because of me. They were all just waiting on me to give them the PayPal info, and I actually had it, but hadn’t given it to them yet, when my radar started going off. People are so evil these days.

Hey, it could be metallic lipstick all over her face, furniture, white bathroom cabinets and white bedspread and dresser.

My friends with vacation homes use a combination of Damp Rid and open bowls of vinegar in each room to reduce the musty, closed-up for months, smell I also run fresh water down every drain in the house and flush the toilets several times when I get back to a house that has sat empty. That dirt hanging around for months can get nasty smelling. When we go on vacation I put a small amount of bleach down each sink and tub, and in the toilet bowls. This prevents smelly bacterial growth in standing water

A close friend was hacked last month. It looked like he was moving and posted a bunch of stuff for sale. I know him and his wife pretty well, so I knew they are close to retirement and loved their house and would never move unless something went horribly wrong. I reached out to the wife and sure enough he had been hacked. He still has not been able to get his FB account back.

We went by the jeweler to pick up my chain and ring, and DH's watch. They were supposed to put two links BACK IN THE WATCH BAND. Yep, you guessed it. They hope it will be ready tomorrow. He's not a happy camper and I can't blame him. Personally, I think they should waive the charges for it

My ex husband's brother's girlfriend who I don't even know/like but I accidentally friended on Facebook a while back sent me a message yesterday asking to borrow $100 and she'd pay me back the next day. That one didn't go far. I immediately forwarded it to ex-BIL and told him to leash his dog. He then tells me she was hacked. LOL

Has anyone seen my motivation? I think it was last seen with my will to live. Maybe it's hanging out with mine while I write a packing list for Aruba (23 days, 18 hours, but I'm not counting) instead of being productive in advance of only working two days next week (and only worked two days last week).
