I told DH I am going to take over his chore of getting stuff to and from the dry cleaners . We stopped by today and I thought it was taking an awfully long time for him to get the stuff. When he finally got back in the car, he said they had a little dachshund puppy in a play pen behind the counter, so I had to go in and spend a good 5 minutes meeting the little guy who barked and growled at me He is a six-month old miniature dachshund and acts like a trained attack dog. They are keeping him at the shop during day to help socialize him and so he won't be lonely at home alone. It's been far too long since I stroked long silky ears like that. The cost of dry cleaning just went up because there's no way I'm not taking him toys

He just called. According to the MRI, his cysts have actually decreased in size. He's out of danger. The doc was very pleased. He doesn't need surgery and it's not cancer. He's so reiieved. So glad to hear that!

The doc could have said, 'I want to see you immediately, but it's not bad news." Maybe when he says that, people don't keep their appointments. I dunno. Or, I want to see you immediately, and be happy its good news.

Sometimes I think the "Please call me" people couldn't put a good subject line together without assistance.

Annoyed with myself. I caught the driver's side mirror on my car pulling out of the garage and now the reflector is all floppy inside the housing. Of course it's a mirror with tons of electronics crap in it. Ouch. I caught the passenger side mirror of my Honda CRV pulling out of the garage. $700 to replace it . Hopefully yours will be cheaper. The quote is $622 and that's with them messing up and quoting what is most likely a cheaper part. I got home and realized that the description by the part number says "without memory" and I have memory mirror. Not sure how they screwed that up when they went by the VIN number. I'm now even MORE annoyed with myself because after they pulled it apart and we were looking at it, I'm thinking I might have broke the part that is requiring the whole thing be replaced when I was trying to get it clipped back in.

I'm sporting some false eyelashes. For a first shot, its not half bad. I didn't get them alighed quite right. But, you can only tell if my eyes are closed. How much glue to use is a thing. I may or may not have glued my eyes open at one point. So far, though, they don't make my eyes itch and I can tolerate mascara better. And they don't really look fake.
They're a little different at first, but once you get used to them, you may never go back. As long as I can get them off, I have to say, I like them a whole lot more that I thought I would.

OK, then I have to ask. Question for both of you really since I have now dubbed you both experts. How much trimming are you finding you need to get them to be comfortable? I have some magnetic ones. I've tried them 3 or 4 times but haven't gotten them comfortable yet. I'm wondering if I just need to keep trimming them - less on the inside corner - to get a better fit? I felt like I trimmed them a lot, but looking at them I'm thinking I didn't trim enough. Just really hard to tell since I have no experience with these things.

In other news, work has been super busy and I just finished taking care of a large problem. Glad that is done and off my plate. Tomorrow is the last day of school for Kiddo. I'm looking forward to a 4 day holiday weekend! I have a lot of plans to do nothing. We are going to wing it and do whatever we feel like - or don't feel like - doing.

My grocery store has hundreds of plants outside, right on the sidewalk. Beauttiful hanging baskets, big pots full of assorted flowers, tomatoes, etc. When they close, they just leave everything outside. Nobody takes anything. I even asked the manager if anything has gone missing. Nope.

And I didn't trim them. Those are super cute! They are whispy-er than the ones I have. Which is good to know. While I was wondering if trimming was an issue, I may just need to try a different style altogether. Which never occurred to me, so thank you!

Opti, are you feeling better? TheOtherMe how are you doing? IIRC, you have another blood clot in your leg, is it getting better?

I'm feeling a little better, but I am also taking a Zpak. Calves and back hurt so I try not to walk too much except for my to and from the bus walks which is close to a mile a day. Tough allergy season. Got a ride to choir practice for tomorrow, so that will help. I find singing, voice acting and performance in general tends to open up my sinuses and keep me healthier. Thanks for asking. Found this BTW, winner of American Idol during the pandemic in 2020. Still singing in the subway probably because she won in 2020. http://instagr.am/p/Cqfww-nMzLU

I like them because honestly, they are longer versions of what my eyelashes looked like before chemo.
My 15 year daughter approved of them on me today. I figure, if she approves, that it's all good.
A side note: the missy watched me get the lashes out of the packaging and was like "OMG. Those are are so long!!"

Did you look at the drive time difference? Just asking because airport time, flight time, and driving time from BWI to Ocean City you might be better off driving.

TheOtherMe how are you doing? IIRC, you have another blood clot in your leg, is it getting better? My niece came today and helped me shower and that makes me feel better. She did say I have more color in my face than I did when she came to help me with the first one. That's good to hear. I think we are starting on the downside. The swelling has been increasing each day. It also was throbbing and very painful. As of this morning, no more throbbing and pain. I hope that means the ugly, huge black bruises will start turning other colors as it heals. I need to both eat and drink more so I can get my strength back. I told her, depending on how this goes, I may make a short appearance at her son's graduation party on June 3, but it will be brief. Her daughter isn't done with school until June 5! I couldn't believe it. All of the other schools around here are done. Thanks for asking, Pink.

I'm flying into BWI to meet my friend D, who lives somewhere in MD I've never been to, and we're driving down to OCMD to crash in her beachy condo for a weekend music festival on the beach.

Has anyone heard from empress of self-improvement? The last time she posted life was sad. I just want to check and make sure she is okay. She's ok. Thank you for asking. It got busy for a bit with a couple other kittens needing emergency room visits but they have all finally turned a corner and are gaining weight and getting better. PHEW! My 2 fosters are 2 years old and they are very needy buggers so I've spending a lot of time with them.

Ugh! DD is sick, and we're not sure what it is. She did go visit Urgent Care, and the only thing they've ruled out so far is Covid. Waiting for test results to come back on other things, like influenza. She probably picked up something at the concert she attended this weekend.
Being a mom, I dropped of Sprite and some frozen chicken & wild rice soup. Hoping it's nothing bad. Worrying, it's what moms do...

I have something like that - negative for strep and covid, but still feel like I have both. I slept the day away yesterday and felt better today morning, but the throat is very sore again tonight.
