I'm surprised Tucker didn't put the blame on Obama for once wearing a tan colored business suit. Tucker Carlson Admits He Was 'Wrong' About Russian Invasion of Ukraine, Bizarrely Blames Kamala HarrisTucker Carlson admitted he was wrong about the Russian invasion of Ukraine during Thursday night's "Tucker Carlson Tonight," but the host still found a way to put the blame for the situation in Eastern Europe on the Biden Administration. Specifically, the Fox News host asserted that he never took the situation seriously because President Joe Biden sent Vice President Kamala Harris to Europe as the world feared imminent war. Carlson opened his show by addressing breaking news of a fire at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe, which broke out Thursday after Russian shelling. "So, the situation appears to be more chaotic by the day, possibly even spinning out of control," Carlson said in response. "And that, we must be honest, is shocking to us. We've been taken by surprise by the whole thing. We're not the only ones who were, but we're willing to admit it. The only thing more embarrassing than being wrong in your estimates is pretending that you weren't. So why didn't we see this coming, this total loss of control?" After backpedaling on his Russia-Ukraine conflict stance, he pivoted the blame to Democrats, going on to say that his failure to take the situation seriously was due to Harris' attendance at the Munich Security Conference in February. "Well, because we assumed that if things were dire, serious people would be involved in fixing them. But we looked up and we saw Kamala Harris involved, and that reassured us," Carlson said. "Harris had just come back from Europe where she'd been conducting quote, 'diplomacy' with our allies, and that appeared to be proof this could not really be a big deal." "If the situation in Ukraine had been legitimately serious, if the future of Europe and the world hung in the balance as now so obviously it does, of course the Biden administration would not have sent Kamala Harris to fix it, because that's not her job," he continued. "Kamala Harris' job is to trot down to the Blue Room periodically to greet delegations of TikTok influencers or to cut occasional PSAs for Children's Dental Health Awareness Month, which is in February, so we assumed she'd be working on that right now. "We didn't underestimate Vladimir Putin, we overestimated Joe Biden," Carlson said before playing a series of clips showing Harris in light-hearted moments. "This is just not a serious person, not surrounded by serious people," he followed. After months of pro-Kremlin comments, Carlson received widespread criticism for his remarks downplaying the Russia-Ukraine conflict last week, even as Russia launched the invasion. He minimized the conflict as a mere "border dispute" and questioned what he described as a sense of "a patriotic duty to hate Vladimir Putin." "It may be worth asking yourself, since it is getting pretty serious, what is this really about? Why do I hate Putin so much?" he said on his Feb. 22 show. "Has Putin ever called me a racist? Has he threatened to get me fired for disagreeing with him?" "But Joe Biden likes Ukraine, so Putin bad, war good," he added at the time. Carlson concluded Thursday's bizarre rant against Harris with a bit about her dating history, referencing her past relationship with Montel Williams — not his first time fixating on the relationship. "So if you're looking for someone to date Montel Williams, well, maybe she's the person you would choose," he said. "She could be a solid choice, she's done it before. Dating Montel Williams - you know - is something that's within her range of experience. Is she good at it? We can't say. But she's done it. But this new gig? De-escalating a world-ending conflict with the nuclear-armed rogue state? No. No, not when nuclear reactors are on fire. But they're doing it anyway." Tucker Carlson Admits He Was 'Wrong' About Russian Invasion of Ukraine, Bizarrely Blames Kamala HarrisSo basically the Black lady isn’t qualified to do her job. Basically except Fucker Carlson would not call Kamala Harris a lady. He reserves that "honor" for soft porn stars who proudly proclaim they don't care about kids locked up in cages by order of her sugar daddy

Be careful what you pack when trying to leave Russia. Russia is looking for any reason to detain Americans and hold them hostage. Russia Says It Has American Basketball Player in CustodyThe Russian Federal Customs Service said Saturday that its officials had detained an American basketball player after finding vape cartridges that contained hashish oil in her luggage at the Sheremetyevo airport near Moscow. The Customs Service said in a statement that the player had won two Olympic gold medals with the United States, but it did not release the player’s name. The Russian news agency TASS, citing a law enforcement source, identified the player as Brittney Griner, a seven-time W.N.B.A. All-Star center for the Phoenix Mercury. Griner, 31, won gold medals with the U.S. women’s national basketball team in 2021 and 2016. The Customs Service released a video of a traveler at the airport who appeared to be Griner, wearing a mask and black sweatshirt, going through security. The video showed an individual removing a package from the traveler’s bag. According to the statement, a criminal case has been opened into the large-scale transportation of drugs, which can carry a sentence of up to 10 years behind bars in Russia. The basketball player was taken into custody while the investigation was ongoing, the officials said. Rest of article here: Russia Says It Has American Basketball Player in CustodyPoor woman has now become a bargaining chip in high stakes political poker. Would bet good money she wasn’t carrying any drugs. We could detain some Russians, but Putin wouldn’t do shit to try to get his citizens free. Bush was right when he said Putin has dead eyes like a shark.

Not strange at all, given all the terrible shit that’s been happening all at once. The media focuses on the movements of the kings and queens and bishops on the chess board but can’t kept up with all the pawns. Likely someone with some PR skill in the WNBA got this elevated into the news cycle. Think of the countless other minor tragedies that don’t make it there. 1.5 million refugees in 10 days - tragic.

I looked up what was allegedly found in her suitcase and from what I can determine it is legal in some U.S. states. But what is legal in some U.S. states is not necessarily legal in other countries. I am sure we will learn more about this as time moves on.

Not unusual for professional sports players playing on professional teams outside of their home country.

Numerous members of the Seattle Storm have done so. They make more money than here where they are underpaid versus the men. But it does take a toll on their bodies playing so much.

I am struggling to see this as a "if you don't lift all sanctions, ..." hostage situation. Surely if the U.S. allowed this, Russia should reciprocate with releasing the basketball player. Russian plane lands in D.C. to pick up expelled ‘spies’
With airspace closed to Russian aircraft, Moscow sent a diplomatic jet to Dulles to grab officials kicked out of the U.S. A mysterious Russian plane that captivated Twitter watchers as it flew across the Atlantic ocean this morning has arrived in the United States to pick up 13 expelled Russian diplomats, according to flight tracking information and the State Department. The plane, an Ilyushin Il-96, left Moscow en route to St. Petersburg on Friday night and arrived at Dulles airport outside Washington at 2:10 p.m. eastern time on Saturday. It is unclear what time it will depart back to Russia. The same plane appears to have been used to fly Russian officials from Moscow to Belarus for the first two rounds of peace negotiations with Ukraine. I’ve watched a few short videos with Putin in press conferences and such since the whole Ukrainian ordeal started. He was asked bluntly “why?” From what I gathered, he’s kinda pissed at all the former Warsaw treaty countries that already joined NATO. Apparently, in the 90s when the treaty was dissolved, all members of the treaty agreed NOT to join NATO but they could be affiliate members. All is based on maintaining a military balance of power. Since Ukraine declared intentions of joining NATO, that was kinda the last string that it could be plucked! If Ukraine is to join NATO then Ukraine will do it as Ukraine and not as the federation of little countries that creates what we know today as Ukraine. The biggest plot/part of Ukraine that always had a claim to independence from Ukraine is Zaporojie which is basically bigger than Ukraine originally was so that would be a good hit, just about halving the territories of Ukraine. That’s also the area where most of the nuclear plants are placed- easy access to water for the cooling systems, strategical position for the distribution of electricity, etc. Praise Zelensky all you want but I personally dislike the man after the remarks that he had made lately about the territories inhabited by other than Ukrainian nations. He declared that Romanians invaded Ukraine long time ago and that’s why some of the territories speak Romanian which gave them the basis in 2017 to ban studying in any other language besides Ukrainian. The man is either re-writing history or he doesn’t know it at all! As soon as Putin proves his point, he will stop advancement and is possible that he will hold onto the gained terrains. And no, I do not believe any of the claims that “500 Russian special forces were killed by civilians” or “Russian convoys are stuck because they ran out of fuel” and the likes.
But that’s just me!

Found this interesting: Why the cavalry isn't coming to Ukraine's sideThe practitioners of foreign affairs -- the women and men who decide how their nations will interact with the world -- know this reality as "realpolitik." It is the dry-eyed (and some might say coldhearted) practice of global politics as a logical game of means-ends calculations.

If there are substantiated reports of them rounding up American citizens and "detaining" them, I will buy into there being a sanctioned ploy by the Russian Government. Until then we have one American who is accused of a drug law violation. How many Americans do you think have been similarly accused by the American government in the past 24 hours? Not saying there’s an organized plot. I think they found a vape device in her suitcase, decided to detain her because of it, and now that it’s gotten some attention in the US news media, I don’t think they’ll treat her the same way they would treat, say, a Chinese traveler with a vape in his suitcase. I think they’ll sit on her for a long time, and then eventually, she might get included in some kind of deal they make in the future. I never said the Russians are beginning massive round ups of Americans still in the country as some kind of organized plot - not sure how you made that leap. However, now that they have her, I think they’ll keep her for a while, just to piss off the Americans, and probably won’t let her go unless it somehow is to their advantage. Is that a sufficient explanation of my comment? Can we stop nigggling about this now?

Would bet good money she wasn’t carrying any drugs. We could detain some Russians, but Putin wouldn’t do shit to try to get his citizens free. Bush was right when he said Putin has dead eyes like a shark. If Russia wanted to set her up, she would have been found with a kilo of heroin in her luggage, not a vape pen with residual hash oil.

Putin's point is what? I can bomb civilians, healthcare facilities, and nuclear facilities? Zelensky is a former actor and comedian, I don't expect him to be fully up on his country's history. Why are the Russian convoys stuck?

But that’s just me! you think that justifies an invasion? the 90s was 30 fucking years ago. Was Ukraine suppose to be held to that "idea" for 1000 years? you think that bullshit excuse in any way justifies bombing civilian targets, killing children? Shame on you!

I know you probably cannot answer the following auestion but why not let her leave and ban her from ever returning? Seems like she would be a valuable player on a Russian team. Not sure who owns that team. But they might have some political pull and could be working to get her a suspended sentence and a fine.

What the heck was she doing in Moscow.? We told citizens to return from Ukraine and Russia weeks ago as they couldn't be rescued if something went wrong. Yet there is still some stupid-arsed Marvel Comic fans travelling to the Ukraine to fight........ actually No, you don't speak the language, you haven't been trained and you'll get in they way. The Russian momentum has stalled for some reason. Its not going to be the cake walk that Putin thought it would be. and if he does succeed in the military offensive..... he's is not going to be able to keep a Country that doesn't want to be Russian. He has also not attempted to move such a large force before and I think there must be a logistics failure, food, petrol. Also, they have taken a much bigger losses than expected. She was doing her fucking job, playing basketball. Several members of the WNBA play is Russia on the off season, they make more money. She was trying to leave when her job was done. Why dont you look it up before you diss her?

For some reason I don't see any Russian basketball teams playing on the international stage any time soon.
