. They will not sit still and stand ... Nope. Trump may get away with inciting an insurrection on January 6, 2021 based on how he worded his comments leading up to and during his 'Stop The Steal' rally before the attack on the Capitol building. trump might not be so legally lucky about his most recent and any future comments of what could happen in the country if he is indicted. It sounds like January 6th all over again. Not this time, trump. Not this time. George Conway reacts to Trump's comments on potential indictment

as i have said before, i am somewhat LESS concerned about the problems with "riots in the streets" than i was prior to January 6th. that doesn't mean i am not concerned.
it means i was afraid our experiment might end on 1/6/21.
but i hear the sentiment. i am glad people are THAT concerned. because it COULD be that bad. and in some ways, it already is.

Trump used some of his PAC money to pay a 3 million dollar retainer to hire a hot shot Atlanta lawyer. Getting some shit about it because he hasn’t given any of that juicy PAC 250 million to any of his minions who are having to pay legal fees for answering his call to invade the Capital. The lawyer is smart, though, getting 3 million up front. Certainly won’t get paid anything on the back end. www.nytimes.com/2022/08/11/us/trump-lawyer-georgia.html

Raw Story has an article from the NYT that a White House lawyer warned Donald Trump late last year that he had no right to hang onto sensitive documents after he left office, and doing so left him open to legal exposure.
Trump, in typical ‘I’ll do what the fuck I want to do’ fashion, ignored the advice, and that opens the door to Espionage Act charges, because it shows an essential part of that offense, which is willfulness.
Of course Trump will sue to say executive privilege, like he does everything else.

Trump is whining that GA DA Fani Willis indicted she anticipates criminal charges for the voter fraud case.
He’s unhappy she’s spending almost all her waking hours trying to prosecute a very popular president.
1) that’s called doing her job, 2) you weren’t popular enough to get re-elected, 3) plenty of very popular people go to jail all the time 4) you’re at your very lowest popularity rating ever, and continual whinging about the Big Lie promises to keep pushing that number down. 5) don’t mistake notoriety for popularity. Dumpster fires always attract a lot of attention but are usually very unpopular.

Has there been an explosion at MAL this morning because the special master Trump selected in order to delay delay delay has not only scolded Trumps lawyers about having their cake and eating it too, he insisted time is of the essence and he plans to wrap this up in early October?
I figured he would melt his crappy personal social media site down with comments about the ‘bad, very bad, possibly sick special master John Dearie, with maybe some ‘seniles’ thrown in.

I did notice in the comments to an article I read this morning that some people are mixing up John Dearie with the hot shot criminal lawyer Trump paid 3 million to retain in GA for that other illegal business.
Trump does have to pay Dearie but I’m sure won’t be 3 million.
How sad is it that your legal life is such a circus spectators are getting all the players and allegations confused.

Closest I could find to October date: Specifically, Trump’s attorneys objected to a proposed October 7 deadline for them to inspect and categorize the materials Dearie has been tapped to review.Takeaways from the first hearing with the Mar-a-Lago search special master

Lol yeah the misbehaving special master has now been totally forgotten- prepare for attacks on the racist NY DA who has a personal vendetta against poor Donald. No wonder he wants to be president again- he needs all this legal stuff to go away.

Over 200 charges, committed over 10 years and the whole family is being charged, not just him. Well, this is gonna take a little shine off the upcoming social season and the big wedding for little Tiffany.
No doubt he will launch every racist rant he knows, and call on his minions to attack as well. Because of course it isn't even his fault. His people got the numbers wrong, not him. Heck, I totally think he will throw his kids under the legal bus, if need be. Numbers don't lie, though.

It's the NYS AG, not the NY DA.
It's civil, not criminal.

Trump is going to complain that this is only happening because he was president, and I think he’s right. He got away with this tax grift for 10 years and no one noticed.
But anyone could have told him (and probably did) that running for president would cause every media outlet in the country to go sifting through his closet, and pantry and gym locker to dig up all the pee tapes and porn GFs and Epstein visits and dodgy tax filings and questionable investors.
The public scrutiny has kept many more honest men from running for office- but didn’t dissuade Trump.
It should have. NY can ignore such gross fraudulent scamming. It’s been dug up and dragged into public view, she has to make him an example.

A racist, a fraud, and the worst AG in America. If I were the AG, I’d make up t shirts with that plastered on the front and wear them proudly.

The lawsuit is looking for a permanent ban against the Trumps ever running a business in NY according to Bloomberg- how does that work? They would have to shut down Trump Inc and move to another state? Could they still own corporate real estate there?

For example, the former president inflated the square footage of his triplex apartment in Trump Tower, she said. “Mr. Trump represented that his apartments spanned more than 30,000 square feet, which was the basis for valuing the apartment," she said. "In reality, the apartment had an area of less than 11,000 square feet, something that Mr. Trump was well aware of.” um.........

Could they still own corporate real estate there? i am sure that Trump Inc is not even incorporated in NY. they could move to NJ, for example, and run their operations in NY. to the second question, he can't transact RE in NY for 5 years, according to the ruling. i am sure that there is some wiggle on that, if the proceeds are used to pay the fine.

“was commenced for the purpose of retaliation.”
retaliation for what? personal attacks? that is rich. so, you personally attack the judiciary in order to create a defense against the judgment?
LOL
that is not going to work, imo. if that was going to work than no sentence on EARTH would hold up.

The science and math are pretty straightforward in calculating square footage. No GOP or Dem difference when using a tape measure.
