Sometimes, I read an article and wonder exactly why someone does things like this. Who in their right mind would think Gorilla Glue is an acceptable substitute for hair spray? Not only that, suing the company because the while the can of glue says do not use on skin and eyes, they didn’t warn them about using it on hair? Girl, 13, Is Dragged to Death While Trying to Escape SUV that Was Stolen When She Was InsideA Kansas teen trying to escape from an SUV that was stolen while she was inside died after she became entangled in a seat belt and was dragged for miles through an open car door, leading to the driver's arrest on a charge of murder. Wichita police say the 13-year-old girl, identified by her family as Brianna Ibarra, had stayed behind in the back seat of a Ford Escape that was parked, but left running, outside of a restaurant as other family members went in to grab food shortly before noon Saturday. A man, 34-year-old Kevin Palmer, of Wichita, then allegedly jumped into the driver's seat of the vehicle and drove away with the girl inside. The girl attempted to exit the car as it was moving, but was caught in the seatbelt and then dragged outside of the vehicle. "Palmer continued to flee for several miles," police alleged in a news release. A witness who saw the situation called 911 and followed the SUV. Police say the driver stopped and then fled on foot, but was quickly arrested by officers who arrived on the scene. I'm not going to say she wasn't dumb but I can feel some empathy for her we've all done stupid shit, my ugly ass front tooth is a testament to that. My brother has spilled his brains on concrete three separate times (each more stupid than the last). We just got lucky and even if someone had caught it on camera getting it shared with the world would have been a much more laborious project.
I don't feel any empathy for a dude trying to mansplain that Gorilla Glue isn't as strong as some woman claimed it was. He got what he deserved. How arrogant do you have to be? Hope a chunk of skin came off with the cup.

I had my hair colored last night. My beautician said they have raised $10,000 on a go fund me page for this woman and she is also suing gorilla glue. Beautician was saying how stupid do you have to be to try something like that? She was totally disgusted that people are donating $$ to her for doing something incredibly stupid, that 99.9% of people know enough not do attempt. She said she and a co-worker were trying to think of something really dumb that they could get people to create a go fund me campaign and raise $$ for them.
Beautician said the surgeon took 4 hours and used acetone and dish washing soap like dawn? and aloe to remove it? I don't know in the article I read, she flew to LA and a Black Plastic Surgeon Donated the surgery and removed the glue, but it did not say exactly how he removed it. It said she had previously gone to the emergency room and they sent her home with acetone which burned her skin, so I don't know if my beautician was correct or not.

$10,000 will buy a lot of food for a food bank. Or pay for a lot of kids to get a well child check by a doctor or a dentist or an eye exam and glasses, etc. What a waste, IMO. Just my 2 cents.

I spent my 20's hair obsessed and I remember a poster on one of my blogs tried a diy on her hair that was flour and water so she basically pasted her hair to her head and she spent a long time getting it out. She said she was a teacher so she certainly should have known better but temporarily fell down the rabbit hole. Others talked about using wood glue in the 80's to get spikes and mohawks with extremely long hair. I don't know what her bills will end up being, hopefully she has insurance. But it wasn't an easy fix. Its not like they just washed her hair. Gorilla glue scares the shit out of me because of horror stories dh tells of animals eating the bottle, but the few times I've used it I wasn't terribly impressed, so I can see how it would happen. |

I busted it when I was about nine playing in someone's junk filled yard that I was not supposed to be in because my dad said I would bust a tooth playing in said yard. So it's capped. I couldn't afford to get the original replaced for years so it looked like crap. Got it done nicely in my mid 20's. Got it broken a second time by my daughter and had to emergency repair it and it looks like shit again because I didn't go to a cosmetic dentist that round. They will take the current cap off and properly sand down my tooth to make it look the same as it's neighbor once I am done with the aligners. It would have made a pretty good TikTok video. |
