So, I've been having problems lately with in grown hairs on my legs. I switched from a regular razor to an electric, but that didn't seem to help. Now I'm trying my facial scrub on my legs to see if that helps. I also went to the beach and got sand on them wet, and brushed it off when it dried, but I'm not going to be doing that all the time.
Am I on the right track here? It is annoying, unattractive, itchy, and painful at times. Maybe I need to go full on furilla for a while, and start using nair after all the hair is freed and my legs heal up. I don't know!

I'm going to Ulta either today or tomorrow. So far my list is foundation (will get the same Clinique anti-red that I've been using) night cream (have been using a Clinique version, but I will peruse others waxing strips (I've never used these, but I'm wondering if I can use them on my chin in between my bi-monthly hair stylist trips) hyralaunic acid maybe mascara if it's on sale retin-A

I have a few pairs of jeans that rub in a specific spot and cause in-grown hairs. I don't wear jeans very often, so that may be part of it.

Found a wonderful all organic all natural solid perfume at a store in Boulder. The one I got is called Karma.
Definitely need to go back next year. Probably should not see if they are online.
Store was called Lush if anyone is interested.

Mostly the bottom half of my legs, but also some on the sides of my knees and the backs of my thighs. Some of it, I understand from the clothes rubbing and sitting on them, but the calves, I don't know.

I had issues with red spots a couple winters ago on my legs. I'm not sure if they were ingrown spots or what.
They finally got better. For me the fix was better shave gel. The Gillette stuff wasn't thick enough especially in the winter. I switched to the lotionized version of Skintimate.

My lashes are pretty nonexistent. This and the KVD Go Big Or Go Home mascara are the only ones that make my lashes appear longer and fuller. I have some others I need to try, but I have a bunch of mascaras open that I have to get through first.

My lipstick order came. 😳 I got a lot of stuff. Some of it is too light for me. It will go in the gift bin and will be gifted to the kids.

I got small bottles of two different Paul Mitchell shampoos at Ulta yesterday, although it pained me to pay the small bottle price. One is Tea Tree Special, the other is Lemon Sage Thickening. My thought is to try each of them for a bit before buying the bottle of my fav.

My sister buys a couple of liters of her shampoo and conditioner to last all year and pays way less than buying small bottles.

Ulta used to have a good liter sale. I saw some comments that management wasn't interested in ever bringing it back.
It used to be 40-50% off. January was 20% off and July was even weaker only 15%. It's a better deal to wait for a 20% off coupon that can be used on the prestige brands.

Please don’t judge me, but I’ve always wondered why women shave their legs. Do they really get so hairy that it’s necessary, or is it that the goal is to have absolutely no hair on them? I have a little hair on my legs, and I’ve never ever shaved them. I actually have more hair in my arms, or maybe it’s just more noticeable because it’s curlier than the hair on my legs. My cousin’s ex-wife use to think it was funny to sometimes ask me if I’d combed my arms right after I said hello when she called me. It’s not THAT bad, but my arms do have hair on them. I use to work with a woman that had hairy legs and never shaved them. Some men thought it was sexy. Mister apparently likes hairy women. He acts like he’s disappointed when I shave my armpits. Please don’t judge me again when I say this….. but I don’t know any Black women that talk about shaving their legs (or arms, like maybe I should lol). We talk about facial waxes, bikini waxes, underarm waxes, but not one that I’ve had those kinds of conversations with talked about shaving their legs or getting them waxed, if that’s even a thing. I’m just curious about why it’s a big deal. I feel like maybe I missed something I should have been taught growing up. But then again, I’ve never had anyone, not even a man that was clearly attracted to me, comment on my unshaven legs.

Probably wouldn't have done it anyway, being European and all, but she had no hair on her legs. I wasn't so lucky. I don't shave my upper thighs on top very often because the hair there is fine and light in color, so it's unnoticeable and doesn't bug me. The rest is dark and coarser, so it's very noticeable and bugs me even in winter when no one but my dh would see. The hair on my arms is like the hair on the tops of my thighs.

It's a derivative of Puritanical values. While I will likely always shave my legs (I wear skirts the majority of the time), I do now--as a slightly mature 40-something--grasp that it's nonsense.

I don't think I know a single woman who doesn't shave their legs. Me, either. I thought everyone did. I'd be pretty embarrassed if anyone could see hair on my legs and I'm blond so not as noticeable as some with darker hair. Do people shave their arms? I've never heard of such a thing. Or maybe I just never thought of it since you really can't notice much on mine?

I've always had problems with the bikini area, but getting it all over my legs is new.
