rejoice. this is the last major(?) hurdle we need to overcome to get to the goal of unseating this anti-democratic insurgency.
this post didn't age terribly well. I can't believe what I am watching right now.

Hillary was right; trump and these protestors are deplorable.
Trump should be arrested and charged for inciting a riot.

he is like a blade of grass in the wind, or something with less spine. Oh I get that, I'm just dumbfounded he essentially said sit down and shut up to his party. Though not quite strong enough if you ask me, but maybe it qualifies for a that'll do pig, that'll do. (And that's a quote! Not calling him a pig, if you interrupt it that way, well that's something I can live with) I called my son in to watch Mitch do the right thing. Mitch did - but not in a persuasive way.

Cruz is claiming we need to take a 10 day period to have a bipartisian committee to study whether or not there was any voter fraud. There have been about 50 legal cases asking the courts to declare the election corrupt, and everyone of them got kicked out of court. Why waste 10 more days, and subject ourselves to 10 more days of Trump’s whining, when 60% of the the population - and none of the courts - think there was any corruption. It’s over. The fat lady (or ridiculous Texas congressman) has sung. I think we need to take a 10 day period first to confirm Cruz is not one of the evil lizard people.

Republican governor of Vermont is calling for Trump to resign.
He’s not the only one.
Although some other people are suggesting the 25th amendment.

I don't want Trump pardoned no matter what Biden states. Its possible. The question is would you pardon the guy who sent his supporters after you? Apparently Pence was more of a target than Pelosi. I don't want him pardoned, but DT has done his best to prove why he should not be President now or ever. I'm listening to the news discussing the Trumps' vows to go after Republicans who don't support them. They might, but they are lazy, and unlikely to spend much if any of their money to do so.

I don't like the idea of the United States being without a President for two weeks. Wishful statement from the White House: "president trump has contracted Covid-19 again. trump is resting in bed at the White House and under doctors' orders. VP Pence will be acting president until January 20th.'

Pence's statement did not mention talking to trump. It did mention him talking to the FBI, DOJ, DoD to call in National Guard, and others. I can't find a link to the statement though. Just news talking about it.

I don't like the idea of the United States being without a President for two weeks. So, like trump has never gone on a Vacation or Golfing for a day? I suspect we'd be fine. Obama pretty much got blocked for 4 years... I'm guessing trump not being able to move his agenda forward for 2 weeks won't cause America to grind to a halt.

Trump is President and able to act as such from the golf course. I took Tennesseer 's statement to mean that Trump would be President but unable to act as such. My concern is about foreign agents acting because there is a power vacuum at government's highest level.

We also heard that Pence was the one that called out the Guard or to the capital. It sounds like Pelosi called trump and he delayed. Just heard, no verification. We also just heard that his twitter account has been suspended for 24 hours. Should be to the 20th.

We also just heard that his twitter account has been suspended for 24 hours. Should be to the 20th. The way I heard it is the DC mayor called for the National Guard and the DoD denied it. Trump’s orders? If so he deliberately allowed this day to get out of hand, as once those types of forces were brought to bear the protest rapidly died out. Now I hear the Pence made the call. Now if he would make one more call...
