I hear this a lot from conservatives, it wasn't Trump supporters that stormed the Capitol, was BLM and Antifa.  I always reply asking if Trump loves BLM and Antifa....when he finally called them off and told them to go home, he said "We love you"  Seemed to me he knew exactly who it was.

A Pennsylvania man was arrested on suspicion of participating in the Capitol riot after his ex-girlfriend turned him in to authorities.

Richard Michetti, of Ridley Park, was arrested on charges related to his alleged involvement in the riot. He and an unnamed former romantic partner were texting while it was ongoing, and a day later, she turned him in to the FBI, providing them with the texts and videos that he sent her, court documents allege.

He was charged with knowingly entering a restricted building, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and obstruction of Congress, which could land him in jail for up to 20 years, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. He was arraigned Tuesday in federal court in Philadelphia. His arrest date is unclear.

Shortly after 2 p.m. on Jan. 6, the day of the riot, which coincided with Congress’s intent to certify the election results for President Biden, he allegedly texted her, “ … it’s going down here we stormed the building they held us back with spray and teargas and paintballs,” and added, “Gotta stop the vote it’s fraud this is our country.”

Later that afternoon, Michetti allegedly texted his ex, “If you can’t see the election was stolen you’re a moron,” and, “This is our country do you think we live like kings because no one sacrificed anything?” He continued, “ ... [T]he vote was fraud and [T]rump won but they won’t audit the votes. We are patriots we are not revolutionaries the other side is revolutionaries they want to destroy this country and they say it openly.”

Maybe she became an ex after being called a moron? Voting by mail in NJ was new and I think it was far easier to get your ballot tossed out by not following directions than it would be to find signatures and envelopes of people you expected were not voting.

South Carolinian William Robert Norwood III is facing federal charges after allegedly telling a family member he assaulted and stole gear from police officers during the Capitol riot.



"I'm dressing in all black," Norwood wrote under the name "Robbie" on January 5, the day before the riot and insurrection, according to text messages cited in an FBI affidavit. "I'll look just like ANTIFA. I'll get away with anything."

After the riot on January 6, additional text messages obtained by the FBI show Norwood claimed he tested his theory.

Ethan Nordean, who will appear in court Tuesday, was allegedly ready to step in and lead the Proud Boys' violent push to overtake the US Capitol, a new court filing said, after the group's leader, Enrique Tarrio, was arrested and then told to stay away from Washington, DC.

"Following the arrest of the Proud Boys' Chairman on January 4, 2021, Defendant was nominated from within to have 'war powers' and to take ultimate leadership of the Proud Boys' activities on January 6, 2021," prosecutors wrote in a court filing Monday arguing to keep Nordean imprisoned.

Except that when Norwood was interviewed by the FBI on January 22, the affidavit indicates that his story appeared to change drastically.

When asked about his claims of assaulting police officers, FBI investigators write in the affidavit that Norwood, "denied assaulting law enforcement officers, and claimed that any statements he made in text messages were meant to make NORWOOD sound tough."

He repeated his claims that he helped protect police officers from being assaulted, according to the affidavit. FBI investigators also said that Norwood admitted he took some a police helmet and vest, "from a pile of equipment." Norwood told investigators he left the equipment in the hotel room of an Ohio couple they met outside the Capitol building.

FBI investigators say he admitted to entering the Capitol after two US Capitol Police officers were, "waving people inside" and that he wanted to leave, but was prevented because of the crowd.

While preventing muffin theft is all well and good, the accusations against Chansley are very serious. On top of storming into the Capitol building, Chansley is also accused of leaving an ominous note for Vice President Mike Pence at his desk in the Senate chamber that read: “It’s only a matter of time, justice is coming.” That day, he was also carrying a spear attached to a flagpole, which prosecutors considered to be a weapon.

Chansley is facing as many as 20 years in prison, but can’t seem to see what he did wrong. In the interview, he went on: “I also said a prayer in that sacred chamber because it was my intention to bring divinity and to bring God back into the Senate.” When reminded that it was illegal for him to even enter the chamber, he described that as a “very serious regret.”
