Wondering if we want a thread dedicated to this?
Anyway, I'm in need of some new slippers. That's my mine footwear, these days of WFH. I need some with more support than your standard slipper, as I think I might have some bursitis going on or something. Anyone know of any good brands out there?

Yeah, I briefly looked at some vionics, but the ones I saw weren't a style I would likely enjoy wearing all day. Thanks for the recs, I'll check them out!

My mother was a single amputee. She swore by Daniel Green slippers and shoes (when she wasn't swearing at the phantom pain in her missing leg).

Thanks, but I was thinking a little more soft and fuzzy. I will mostly be sitting at my desk with them on, but getting up and walking around the house/up and down the stairs whenever my fitness watch buzzes at me, which is like every hour. I've gotten a little twinge in my right ankle from doing that in my old slippers, but if I have to switch to shoes, I'll just skip the walk around the house--I just know it.

I don’t know how to link . I don’t wear slippers but wear Skechers slides or mules around the house . They have the support and memory foam I like . They have covered toe , no back , and just slip on . Very comfortable, just like their sneakers . Found mine on Amazon .

I recently bought a pair of Oofos to wear around the house. They are definitely not cheap for "house shoes" but have seriously saved my feet. The lady at the store called them "recovery shoes." They are specifically designed to wear around the house and are great to put on after a workout.

I actually just bought two pair from a repeat FB ad, I retired the originals when I vacated the rental this summer. idk what kind of support you're looking for, these are memory foam clogs whose purchase benefits dog rescues. they are quite comfy. can absolutely dig up the link if that fits your bill

I've been wearing Muk Luks for a while, but they might not have enough support for you. Super comfy though. I like Vionics but haven't tried any of their slippers. My mom just wears a pair of their flip flops around the house to help with her feet, but in FL it's not exactly that cold here. Did you check on their website? They have pretty much any fuzzy slipper you want. www.vionicshoes.com/women/slippers.html I've seen Costco have a few cozy looking memory foam slippers, but I haven't bought any since I have giant feet.

I'm amazed at all of you who actually wear anything on your feet in the house other than socks, lol.
Although, I'll admit that I do *occasionally* wear slippers if it's really cold, since I since by a north facing window and very little heat comes out of the vent under my desk.

I'm looking to spend $60 or less. Going as high as $60 seems like a ton for slippers for me. I don't even normally spend that much on any of my shoes. For the winter, I'm looking for something to keep my feet warm while I'm sitting at my desk, yet supportive so my feet don't roll from side to side when I get up to get some steps in. (I may look for a slightly different option for summer, but my feet always tend to be ice cubes.) The vionics look promising, just a tad on the pricey side. I'll do some searching for these brands. Thanks.

I’d slip and fall regularly on either hardwood or ceramic tile. My slippers have rubber soles, and a certain amount of support..

Ah yeah, Vionic are more expensive unless you hit a good sale. Admittedly I haven't bought any of their slippers, but after hemming and hawing over the price of their shoes I now own at least 4 of their sandles, 2 of their sneakers, 1 slipon, 2 pairs of work heels, and I think at least 3 boots - and looking at 2 other boots if I can ever get off my butt when the price drops for like one day. Oh and I noticed they make waterproof boots that are super cute - so I'm now going to buy those when they go on sale instead of rain boots.
I'm not 100% on their slippers, but they use leather in a lot of their shoes so they last pretty long.
Have you looked at Dr Scholl's? They seem like they do comfy shoes too, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet cuz the shoes I want never have any of my size left.

Whenever I wear socks, seems like i end up stepping in something wet. Like my dog drips some water on the floor from her dish or I splash something in the sink, etc.

These are the first shoes I’ve not waited for a sale. I paid full price for only the booties.

If they had a pair of tall boots I could find that I like I would not wait for a sale. The waterproof booties I like are currently only in my size in dark brown - hoping they might come back in stock in black and I might pay full price if they do. DSW has some good deals on Vionic if you watch them. Picked up the two pairs of work heels for less than a hundred for both! They have 2 booties that keep dipping down to $50 but whenever I'm like screw it I'll buy it (cuz well not like I'm going out where I need them and bought most of my other booties by them in the spring) they pop back up to $70 so I don't.

I'm always barefoot in my house--kick off my shoes within ten steps of crossing the threshold.
I imagine LLBean will have sales for Christmas.

Here's a suggestion from someone I haven't acted on yet. I have not found a good winter slipper for me since Brookstone stopped doing the memory slipper. (And they dropped down in usefulness over time anyway) So someone I know loves Stegmanns. They make clogs so they aren't technically slippers, but like the old Brookstone memory foam slippers, their outsole means you can wear them inside or out. Since the tops are boiled wool, I should be able to wear them in spite of my sensitivities to some fibers including wool & angora. www.stegmannusa.com/collections/best-sellers/products/womens-original-108-wool-clog-mediumI will probably order a pair to check out whether they might work for me and whether I need my usual size or a half size up or down.

I've been meaning to try them. Which model are you wearing and what kind of feet do you have, i.e. average arch, high arch or flat footed?
