I needed more support than slippers could give me so upgraded to “house shoes” (another pair of my beloved Hoka One One sneakers) that never leave the house. Oooohh.... Hoka One. I've been meaning to try them. Which model are you wearing and what kind of feet do you have, i.e. average arch, high arch or flat footed? I had excruciating Plantar Fasciitis. It was so bad, I sincerely had to hold on to the walls to make it to the bathroom in the morning until my tendons loosened up. Since giving up my heels and my cute flats and wearing the Arahi model almost exclusively (well, now, since all I do is work and stay home), I have no more plantar fasciitis.

Yeah, the geisswein was the first one listed in that blog I linked. Looks good, but expensive. Those charlotte's look really good, too, but looking for a little more of a back for stairs. However, my feet might get too hot with the back, too, so I don't know!

I'm looking to spend $60 or less. Going as high as $60 seems like a ton for slippers for me. I don't even normally spend that much on any of my shoes. For the winter, I'm looking for something to keep my feet warm while I'm sitting at my desk, yet supportive so my feet don't roll from side to side when I get up to get some steps in. (I may look for a slightly different option for summer, but my feet always tend to be ice cubes.) The vionics look promising, just a tad on the pricey side. I'll do some searching for these brands. Thanks. LLBean has a sale on right now. THANKS15 gets you 15% off right now. Not sure how long it lasts though.

I have heel spurs in both feet(real ones, not pretend draft dodging ones) and found Ecco shoes several years ago. I haven’t bought another brand since then. I used to have to wear custom orthotic inserts and sneakers all the time, but I can wear any type of Ecco. I only wear the inserts now in my Ecco tennis shoes when I’m going to be doing extended walking, haven’t had heel problems in years. They’re more expensive then I would like but last a long time.
DH was having foot problems with his right foot. He only ever got very inexpensive dress shoes for work. I was finally able to talk him into getting Eccos and his foot problems went away.
