We have been told that one household shouldn't infect another household............If a visitor, or someone back from University wants to come in, they have to isolate for 7 days... and if they show symptoms the whole house isolates for 14 days. Even boyfriend/girlfriend who live in different households have to stay apart. Went to the Supermarket tonight....... just before it closed. Wrapped in a spare coat and with gloves and mask on. We are in lock down so there was very few people in there. When in, I sprayed all the food with disinfectant. I don't know why youngsters aren't taking it seriously ...its a nasty disease. Best defense is to do everything you can not to get it.

I'd assume you would be on the route between your house and where you claim you are going if anyone should stop you and ask? I've heard one of the problems with the state mandating people shelter in place without the feds sending in the military is there isn't a lot of enforcement possible. I'm kinda interested to see how that unfolds.... They are going to just start shooting people, just ask OldCoyote . I think a lot of enforcement will be like, "Hey, this is the third time the last two day I have spotted you driving around. What's up?"
They flag me right thru, since I used the magic marker on my face and hands,,, red, green and blue spots keep them away from me!

Sadly an 18 yr old died in California today. Don’t know if child had other health problems but it isn’t only old people getting ill. In NJ there have been several young men in critical condition in hospital Dr Berx has said younger people are getting ill, some critically. She thought this might be because not taking precautions - avoiding crowds, staying home etc

We have a 2 month old in Montreal with it and there's a 7 month old in South Carolina. I think the virus has mutated enough to attack the very young.

Children have been contracting CV all along but usually not seriously sickened and think very few deaths. Although infants seem to be more seriously affected Seems almost a dangerous message that emphasizes illness and deaths in elderly and people think this implies young people aren’t at risk

I don't know about other people, but I alternate between being scared shitless I will get the virus and figuring there isn't much I can do about it if I do.
I really need to find some sort of routine that involves more than the internet and food. I like to cook and will make things that take time/effort, but I need to learn to love yardwork or something to get away from the doom and gloom.
I've read we aren't supposed to travel, but the local OES is telling people to go out and enjoy the BLM land in our area. I think I need to try and plan to do that more often.

Starting to see people from Manhattan here in our relatively countrified suburb. Daughter lives in small town in Catskills and second home owners are coming in. I feel like calling her tomorrow to talk about her son and girlfriend coming up there from Manhattan. They’re teachers but of course online now, don’t think internet is good there but should be able to do something We’d be happy to have them come here but my husband is high risk on oxygen from pneumonia multiple times this winter I just heard a morgue is being set up in Manhattan in addition to the new hospitals I bought 20 N95 masks but gave all but 4 to local hospital, we’re just going to stay home Nauseous just thinking about it

We took a walk around the neighborhood for about 20 minutes this evening. Saw another couple on the other side of street doing the same thing but each of us stayed in our own territory.
Hopefully we'll do this morning and evening while this is going on.
We see people walking all the time but staying their distance.
Felt good to stretch our legs.

I go out with a bag of peanuts and feed the squirrels in the deserted park.
I'm going squirrely myself, as I'm having increasingly long conversations with them.

We walked down to the city park this morning, just in time to see them putting up the closed signs on the playground and basketball court. It's still OK to use the paths in the parks as long as everyone is 6 feet apart.

I just called and told the center where DD goes that she would not be there this week and I'm not sure when I will send her back. We are fine here, hubs is doing most of the going out to get things. I catch to much, so that's ok.
Made 10 masks, need to see if the hospital wants them before I make anymore.
Just now finished up MIL's paperwork for the state 23 pages, sigh.
Hubs is going to a dermatologist tomorrow, yes they are open. I decided to wait, going to cancel. I need him to look at a place on my face but no.
I got my new serger, got it out of the box and haven't had time to do anything with it. Not even all the tape off. It was very well packed. It's 1:30 but think I will wash and roll my hair. it won't take long to dry.

I live near Valley Forge National Park and the trails there are some of my favorites, but idiots in the region managed to get the park to close because a ridiculous amount of cars were parked all over this past weekend and it was creating a hazard. Luckily, I still have the walking track at my community park and we have access to a number of multi-county trails.

Talking to the squirrels is not a problem. Believing that they are responding (especially in a human language), though, might be a sign that it's time to seek help. Just sayin'.

Our state just did a stay at home order today, but I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make on people being out and about. I thought for sure my child support from Ex 2.0 was going to stop coming in when WI issued their order that only essential businesses could operate since he works there, but companies are figuring work arounds. He works at a furniture manufacturing company and has his letter to report as an essential worker.

Where is this if you don’t mind? I wish we would do this. I know daughter’s boyfriend is distancing but I don’t know his brother’s contacts... I also wish we could test everyone.

Text from 31 yr old g-dtr. She and BF manage a pub and grill next to a university. "I'm still very confused about the whole thing. If it was THAT serious wouldn't everything be shut down and everyone inside?" "So why is everyone out and about? Just doesn't make sense to me!" One of the things I told her is to be careful and not take the virus to their 4 yr old. For someone that is 'college educated', she is definitely lacking in common sense. I also suggested BF close shop and work for a grocery. " If we completely close the pub then we may never open again. We have been cleaning and keeping distance."

I've read we aren't supposed to travel, but the local OES is telling people to go out and enjoy the BLM land in our area. I think I need to try and plan to do that more often. I worry some about me getting the virus but it actually ranks lower on my list than a lot of other things. I worry more about the following: *My dad and/or my brother getting it. My brother had an accident in 2015 and almost died. He went septic and had to be on a ventilator. Every year since he gets pneumonia. He gets this and he is probably toast. *My dad lives west and my brother lives East. I am in the middle. I worry that one of them will get the virus and I won't be able to get there before they pass. I worry that even if I make it, that i won't be allowed in to see them. I haven't read anything about how that works. Are you allowed to see your loved ones in the hospital? *I worry that if this doesn't get better over the next month or two that our nation will slip into a depression resulting in increased homelessness, increased suicide, increased crime and even more deaths. *I worry that if I do get the virus, and it is serious, that my dad will try and get to me when he needs to stay put. *I worry that if something happens to me that my 13 year old cat will die from depression. He was a rescue and doesn't like anyone but me. On a side note, I'm trying to do what I can to not get the virus but it has almost become overwhelming. The constant handwashing, sanitizing, keeping my distance from everyone, etc. is exhausting. It really makes me sympathize with those that suffer from OCD. They must live in a constant state of panic.

In answer to your question, from what I have seen, all hospitals no longer allow any visitors.

I don't know about other people, but I alternate between being scared shitless I will get the virus and figuring there isn't much I can do about it if I do. I wasn't scared about getting it before, but now I've been hearing way too many stories about young and healthy getting seriously ill or dying and that's freaking me out. I'm worried about who will take care of my kids if something happens more than anything. Lately I've been thinking, if I'm going to get this as the government keeps saying "most" will, I'd rather it would be now and get it over with. If I'm one of those that gets it bad, the hospitals have nobody in them around here and I'd get the best of care, then after I recovered I'd not have to worry about catching it anymore...at least for awhile. Most believe there is at least short term immunity.

The local hospitals here are strictly limiting visitors. They are allowing 1 visitor for pediatric, labor and delivery and end of life patients. No other patients can have visitors.

Hospitals here are only allowing the spouse during labor and delivery. Also end of life. I think one for pediatric patients. Person with Medical POA can be there during surgery. However, all elective surgeries have been canceled, so it a serious surgery. My sister said she couldn't wait alone. She is not my Medical POA so if I get in an accident and need surgery, she won't have to. No one with you in ER and no visitors for adults unless end of life. There is a case of Covid19 in a nursing home in this county. No visitors in any nursing home here unless end of life. Somebody on FB said all the stats are wrong because all of the obits talk about Covid. All the obits say because of Covid and the restrictions, services will be held at a later date. That isn't saying all the people died of it.

Scores suckered by radio stunt on Quebec language law for dogs MONTREAL--It seems some people really believed that Quebec's language laws are going to the dogs--literally. Several media websites and a number of readers were fooled by a spoof news report, detailed on the CBC Radio satire "This Is That," about the City of Montreal passing a bylaw that would require dogs to learn French and English commands. montreal.ctvnews.ca/scores-suckered-by-radio-stunt-on-quebec-language-law-for-dogs-1.1080225It was picked up by the Raw Story and the Drudge Report.

What I have been looking at are the super spreader from high end people/parties. Austria ski area bar where beer pong was played by spitting the pong balls into the cups. Connecticut birthday party spread all the way to Johannasburg SA. And another party in Kentucky. The spring break partiers who think they are superpeople. This story came from a neighbor. A 4 year olds mother had just had a baby. The 4 year old went to school, came home with the flu. The flu killed her mother. The woman was 80 plus years old and had to live with the fact that she killed her mother. I'm sure there were other cases.

It seems like people here are finally taking the stay-at-home order more seriously. I live on a major county road. Tonight, for the first time, cars are few and far between.
