No, it's not us...it's DT & his administration & their failure to act in a timely manner!

I would include his supporters too for not publcly calling him out for his slow response and not demanding trump reign in his immature behavior. Being president of the United States is not the same as being the host of a reality tv show.

and I would include blaming the Impeached One's insatiable need to erase anything President Obama did. Because he just had to gut everything Obama did with the CDC & still insists on cutting their budget, he set us up for this perfect pandemic storm. His ego is also fueling his inability to be honest, empathetic & helpful with helping the country thru this problem. He's more worried about himself & money than he is about whether or not we the people live or die in mass numbers.

I'm no fool, I know even safe funds like we are in can collapse. So I'm not kidding myself, with how its going, who knows. I do worry about that as we have been financially comfortable most of our married lives and at this age, it would kill me to have to life an austere life. I hope it doesn't come to that, but man the whole market is busting all over the world. I've never seen anything like this a total rout. And instead of a president helping he is riding it down like crazy.
Could this be him with putin doing this, taking direction from him? Probably not, I think he is just dumb enough to believe what he says. No wonder he went bankrupt over and over.

Yeah, figured out why England and Ireland are exempt. His golf courses, I imagine he knows all these people will rush through those countries to try getting out and guess where many will have to stay? All those golf courses are losing money. Only explanation I can think of for that decision.

Just out of curiosity, How much better would either of the other candidates handled it?? Joe at this point can't remember if he is running for President or for a Senate seat.
Or he can not even remember his old bosses name. Wonder how swearing at the union worker went over?? Like bringing on Beto to run the take away the guns dept!! then tell the Union man we are not going to do it..

Hilarious! Keep up the performance art - it's all you got left now. Trump isn't responsible for anything - yet anonymous posters on some dumb forum need to beat their chests with a mea culpa for you? sure....okay.... ...yep What are you going to do when he is reelected? Reading tea leaves again? Maybe try some coffee.

A timely manner,, maybe a trip to Italy, check out how things are going over there.
A timely manner,, How timely was China's response that caused all of this?? Check those out, then come on back , tell me how bad Trump is doing. I see Mexico now has cases,, that means the will be flowing across the border now!!

I don't think it made any difference what he did or did not do. This is a no win for any one. Before, it was said He didn't do enough soon enough. Remember the CDC is the government agency that over sees these things, They were doing their thing behind the scenes, which is of course their job,
Now that Trump is shutting all kinds of things down, the complaint will be look at Trump go way over board on this. It is a no win for any one,
It is time every one to pull in one direction, but that will not happen, too much ground to be gained in the political football game. I think the economy is in real danger right now, 2008 will look like a cake walk!
Who do you think disbanded the pandemic part of the government 2 years ago? Trump fired the director, cut funding and made it go away. Who do do you think put Jared Kuchner and Pence into running the task force? Why no scientists, but a man who singlehanded caused an HIV outbreak in IN? Trumpis more interested in how the stock market is doing than fighting this effectively.

Deflect, deflect, deflect. Typical Trumpette strategy. Point the finger elsewhere. Ok, I'll play. They ALL would've handled it much better. ALL of them. And the flaws and lying of the others is orders of magnitude less than Trump. What's Trump's lie counter up to now? 16,241. www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/politics/trump-claims-database/

Trump, on the other hand, lies about 3/4 of the time.
so, you can go on with this comparison, but the fact will remain that for every truth Biden tells, Trump lies. therefore, from where I sit, one can be trusted, for the most part, and the other cannot.
I think most other Americans know this, as well.
having established that it is not his lying that makes Trump unique, we can turn to his other major and more unique flaws: his arrogant faith in his own intelligence above the intelligence of anyone else around him, his inability to devote time and attention to anything other than his own fortune, his utter lack of compassion for anyone, including members of his own family, and his utter incompetence in the leadership department. if America re-elects him, they deserve the last month and everything that follows.

Wow. When the economy was red hot you were all “whoo hoo thank you Trump “ and now that it’s turned, due to a global pandemic, you’re pinning that on dems for talking about how bad the pandemic is? ? Happyhoix, Look into your crystal ball, what does the future hold, say like 90 days from now? What in my comments makes you think I can tell the future? No one knows what will be happening in 90 days. We’re on a carnival roller coaster ride that is out of control. Which is why the stock market is in a tailspin. Trump needs to be the voice of calm and reason. He needs to push the medical experts to the foreground, not try to muzzle them. And he seriously needs to stop blaming Obama and China and the dems and start acting like the leader of the country. But he’s a failed businessman and a reality game show host, he just doesn’t have what it takes to lead in a crisis, so hopefully someone else can step forward and do his job for him.

Snippets from the linked article: Trump’s [and apparently Oldcoyote's] wobbly claim that his wall could stop the coronavirusTrump is using the covid-19 outbreak to justify his push for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, even though the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public-health experts say they haven’t seen evidence it can stop the virus from spreading. The president has been a frequent source of misinformation on the coronavirus outbreak, which the World Health Organization on Wednesday declared a global pandemic. And he regularly makes false and misleading claims about immigration and the wall. The disease is already in the United States, and experts say containment measures are needed inside the country at this stage. The FactsTrump claimed twice that a wall along the southern border would help mitigate the coronavirus from spreading in the United States, first at a campaign rally and then in a tweet quoting a right-wing activist, who wrote: “Now, more than ever, we need the wall. With COVID-19 spreading across the globe, the US stands a chance if we can control of our borders.” But none of the coronavirus cases reported in the United States have been linked to people who entered through the U.S.-Mexico border. According to U.S. officials and experts, travelers who arrived on airplanes and cruise ships contracted the virus overseas and began to spread it after entering the country. On Wednesday, the Trump administration announced a ban on foreign travelers from most of Europe for 30 days, following previous restrictions on travel from China and Iran. As of Wednesday, the United States had recorded more than 1,000 cases of coronavirus; Canada had nearly 100 and Mexico eight. Public-health experts say Trump’s claim is off is because the coronavirus has already entered the United States. The Pinocchio Test Trump earns Four Pinocchios once again for an inflammatory claim about people arriving at the southern border and spreading misinformation on a public-health concern. Trump’s wobbly claim that his wall could stop the coronavirus

yeah - I'm not sure why old coyote assumes that if he mentions trump being reelected that invalidates trump being a complete assiot. ( Aside, sotto voce: Yes - I'm neologizing a new way to call trump an ass and idiot at the same time. Assiot. Let's make it trend!) In fact: I put forth the proposition that when OldCoyote comes out of left field with "what are you going to do when trump is reelected" - that he realizes he's been boxed into a corner with facts and logic with no way out. I've related before that I never really knew how mean-spirited and stupid so much of the populace was until trump was elected - and then virulently defended on every misstep via illogical and circular, meaningless argumentary. Ignoring every fact. Making up counterarguments on the spot to deflect reality from their minds. If trump is reelected - then sorry - I can't even care about the dumbasses that do it. Complain about the democratic offerings as justification? A manikin in the oval office would be a safer bet than trump. The only argument his reelection would prove is that people are even stupider and more gullible than I think them now. And my estimation of people's abilities are pretty low right now.

As an exercise in contrast - let's just think a moment about the response to covid-19 under a Hillary presidency.
Our white house pandemic team would have been in place.
She would have listened to science and best practices.
She would have put the safety of the nation above all else.
A lot of people who will die of covid 19 in the US would likely have lived under a Hillary presidency. Think about that slowly.
I also think that the death toll outside the US may also have been reduced. You know - thinking about times when the US took its role as leader of the free world seriously - and offered immediate and swift aid to other countries in difficulty, and how stemming the tide in one spot may lessen the impact on others....that kind of thing.

I want to take this minute to congratulate all of you that need to turn this into a Trump failure, You may have succeeded! Unfortunately, the rest of the Country is going down with him!
The panic that you have caused by promoting how bad the virus is, and NO cooperation between the Parties.
Well, There will be a huge amount of deaths,, but most will be financial!!! The businesses that are going to fail, the number of people that will be out of work,,, 2008, is going to look like a cake walk!! We do have our Savior!! Sanders, He will give everything free,, think of what the deficit will look like then!!! Global Warming, half the World will be back to heating and cooking with campfires!! Is Sanders or Biden going to have shovel ready jobs?? 1) we don't want any congratulations. but yes, this president is a fucking disaster. I want to remind you that his initial response, the one that we had to read about in the paper, was to tell the WHO to fuck off back in January, basically. we don't need your help is what he told them. this is just the flu. he repeated that for another month. and then, he started admitting that it was a problem, but still minimizing it. then, last night, he got on TV and in his wooden, heartless teleprompter manner, as if Putin was controlling his flapping jowells courtesy a full length glove up his hidquarters, he gave an impromptu and very confusing message which sent global markets into a tailspin. but sure. blame Democrats. that sounds like leadership to me.
2) yes, there will l likely be a huge amount of deaths in the US, and that is only Trump's fault to the extent that he failed to get on top of it back in January, and that fault is considerable.
your failure to recognize the weaknesses of this candidate is causing you to blame the rest of us, again, for what is a character flaw on his part. he doesn't plan or organize well, oc. and this situation requires planning and organizing. he doesn't play well with others. this situation requires cooperation. he doesn't empathize, which is the root of all the other problems. and, finally, he has this tendency to take credit for everything good that happens, and responsibility for none of it. that is not what we need in a crisis. we need a leader who will take the blame, and do the hard things. and this president is neither.
so, yeah- lots of people will die, and fortunes will be lost. but if you want someone to blame, you can blame yourself and other people who voted this guy into office. he is a disaster, and so, like is dissolving like in this situation. you have nobody to blame but yourselves, but yet you blame us.
but don't worry. we will fix it. we always do. and you will sit around and complain about it when we do.
POTD!
It would be poetic justice if a virus finally brings down the germaphobic virus that has infected the White House and his asslickers. The complete incompetence of his dysfunctional administration is on glaring display right now. I can almost see the steam coming out of The Impeached Ones ears now that the Stock Market has finally turned on him and he is powerless to stop the fallout of his ignorance and megalomania.
Andrew Yang said something when he was endorsing Biden that I think Joe should steal and say over and over again while campaigning right now. "Nothing makes you appreciate a functioning government like a global pandemic."

Why do you all keep engaging with OC he will just keep spewing the same crap over and over again with all his ,,,,,!!!!!

Trump, on the other hand, lies about 3/4 of the time.
so, you can go on with this comparison, but the fact will remain that for every truth Biden tells, Trump lies. therefore, from where I sit, one can be trusted, for the most part, and the other cannot.
I think most other Americans know this, as well.
having established that it is not his lying that makes Trump unique, we can turn to his other major and more unique flaws: his arrogant faith in his own intelligence above the intelligence of anyone else around him, his inability to devote time and attention to anything other than his own fortune, his utter lack of compassion for anyone, including members of his own family, and his utter incompetence in the leadership department. if America re-elects him, they deserve the last month and everything that follows.
yeah - I'm not sure why old coyote assumes that if he mentions trump being reelected that invalidates trump being a complete assiot. OK, How do you actually feel?
