No whataboutism. No trying to "reinterpret" what was said because it's on camera, it came from his mouth. Part of why his supporters claim to like him is that he says what he means. But this time, let's skip the step where his supporters tell us "what he really meant to say was...". Let's deal with just those 3 phrases. I am the King of Israel. I am the Chose One (with a brief turn & look to the sky) & I am the 2nd coming of God.

No. I'm not comfortable with any of my elected government officials using those words/phrases.

At what point does someone say "maybe there's something not quite right about him". He appears to have signs of dementia and has all along. There is something wrong with him. Not even trying to be shady. I really think there is something wrong with him that requires medical attention. Do we really want someone like this in charge of our country?

If you know a narcissist (and I have two in my immediate family) this is not a surprising statement, not at all. He already thinks he is the embodiment of America, so an insult to him is an insult to our country. He likes to throw out the possibility of a third or fourth term, and seriously discussed the possibility of having his face added to Mt Rushmore. Not much of a leap from there to believe you've been appointed by God, just like kings were, back in the middle ages.
Very typical narcissist talk, although usually, most narcissists are self aware enough not to say those kinds of things out loud. Don't want to upset the ordinary people with a reminder of just how ordinary they are.

I'm not comfortable around anyone saying those three things. Not even if they are part of a dramatic skit or the setup of a joke. I tend not to laugh at jokes that include statements that many religious folks would find sacrilegious and I don't think that jokes about mentally ill people who think that they are Christ are funny. ETA That comment wasn't meant as a sneaky way of calling the person that said them mentally ill. What I was trying to convey was just how disturbing I find the statements. They aren't even acceptable as part of a joke.

We on the left all knew there was something wrong with him from the get-go. His ardent ass-lickers don't see it.It's all good. As far as I'm concerned, he should be locked up in one of the insane asylums he keeps yammering about.

He was actually quoting someone, as I recall, but still.... Almost infinitely more likely to be at least an, if not the, antichrist. At the risk of posting a Biblical passage: THE. MOST. UNCHRISTIAN. PERSON. EVER. ELECTED.

This is all a clever ploy to get Obama into such an Islamic rage that he will come out of hiding along with Hillary and Trump can finally put them in front of the firing squad as a certain poster has declared must happen for national security.
Ouch I hurt myself.
Okay in all seriousness yes this is concerning. I would think that this would deeply offend his religious right supporters but somehow, sadly, I doubt it. He's gaslighted them enough that they will truly believe he's the second coming of Christ.
Personally if I am going to get religious I think him or Mitch McConnell are the coming of somebody else from downstairs.

Just that little bit of wiggle room for his followers ... I am the Chose one was on camera He was, ostensibly, joking. The point he was trying to make is that past presidents should have dealt with the inequities in the United States' relationship with China but didn't, leaving him to handle it. link And that wasn't from one of his fans.

I'm not comfortable with anyone in a position of Authoirty saying that kind of stuff. Well, ok, if it happens in something that's entertainment like a movie or play or book - I'm ok with it. But, in real life? Not so much. I often wonder what kind of crappy employers/bosses people who like Trump have. It's like Trump embodies all the nastiness/double talk/lame attempts at manipulation etc of all of my worse managers/employers.
FWIW: I had one employer who told one grout of employees at a very festive lively happy meeting: "Woo Hoo!!! An AWESOME year! Everyone gets big bonuses!! WOO HOO!!! PARTY!!! Next year is also on track to be even more AWESOME!!! " and then a couple weeks later at another very somber and subdued meeting for the employees who weren't in the first group: "well, it's been a terrible year. We have to cut budgets/benefits and raises. We all need to work harder!"
It sucked being part of IT/HR/Payroll for a large company. I made it thru 3 years of the never ending "FEAST! " for some people and "famine" for others. This duality effected the way managers treated their employees - since it was 'famine' long hours were expected. Since it was 'famine' there was no hope of career advancement or a raise over 1% and there was no way to earn a bonus - even though one was offered (no one ever managed to get an exceeds expectations on a review - no matter WHAT they did or how awesome their project turned out).
I've managed to avoid employers who I felt would have that "feast" for some/"famine" for others kind of corporate culture. No one needs that shit. but a lot of people stick with it.

He also "joked" about giving himself the medal of freedom. Just like he "joked" about wanting to buy Greenland and then cancelled a state visit because they didn't pet his ego.
But this is all normal. It's what presidents do. They also turn visits to mass shooting victims into a discussion about how well loved they are & about their crowd size. That's just a normal every day thing. It's normal to give 2 thumbs up with a big grin next to a baby orphaned 2 days before in a shooting that is tied to his "joking" immigration statements. It's normal to say that doctors came out of the operating rooms for him. Leaving patients on the operating table. That's normal. Any president who showed sympathy or pain at meeting victims was just a snowflake.
Welcome to the new normal.

Well, this is the first president who had 3 wives and lots of girlfriends, often concurrently, and whose current wife is a soft porn actress - and he got elected partly due to support from the evangelical community.
Started out as the world turned upside down president, and went downhill from there, until it seems we're hurtling towards a deep crevasse.

I certainly disagree with your comment. His behavior, tweets and the comment on camera, are not fine nor normal. The problem, as I see it, is that when it is blown up beyond what it is it gives his followers an out. It is like when he lies. Yes it is a lie when he engages in hyperbole about the size of his crowds. But when that is given the same weight as when he lied immediately before the mid-term elections about a 10% tax cut the Republicans were working on and would pass, that is a mistake. The American people need to ignore 95% of his lies and focus on the 5% which make him wholly unfit to be reelected.

Is everyone comfortable with him "joking" about changing the Constitution via executive order? Because that's totally normal too. Every president has done it right? Without anyone freaking out over it. It's what Constitutionalists have just been waiting to have happen.

Well he doesn't mean what he says. We shouldn't take anything seriously from the mouth of the "most honest and straight shooting president in history".
This is all a clever ruse to get democrats to admit to being the traitors that they are and finally be able to turn this nation into the right wing utopia it was always destined to be per our founding fathers.
