My preference would be for Bernie to drop out. Without him to push her more left, Warren may actually moderate a bit. Still prefer Biden as a more centrist candidate than those two, but anyone, and I do mean ANYONE, would be better than Trump.

Bernie's heart problems last week hurt him both physically and politically. His age and health are now going to be a factor voters consider.

That and the fact that he ignored the warning signs....not good judgement either! I didn't ignore my signs & got help asap....and may need more soon too.

I don't think that will pass through congress. Executive order. EOs can be overurned. May be hard to do but still possible. "Congress has the power to overturn an executive order by passing legislation that invalidates it. Congress can also refuse to provide funding necessary to carry out certain policy measures contained with the order or to legitimize policy mechanisms. In the case of the former, the president retains the power to veto such a decision; however, the Congress may override a veto with a two-thirds majority to end an executive order. It has been argued that a congressional override of an executive order is a nearly impossible event, due to the supermajority vote required and the fact that such a vote leaves individual lawmakers vulnerable to political criticism." Executive OrderU.S. courts can also overturn EOs. From the same link: "In 1935, the Supreme Court overturned five of President Franklin Roosevelt's executive orders (6199, 6204, 6256, 6284, 6855). Executive Order 12954, issued by President Bill Clinton in 1995, attempted to prevent the federal government from contracting with organizations that had strike-breakers on the payroll; a federal appeals court subsequently ruled that the order conflicted with the National Labor Relations Act, and invalidated the order." Additionally, a future president can overturn a previous EO with a new EO.

Then why so much pressure from Trump directed at the Fed to lower rates?

Then why so much pressure from Trump directed at the Fed to lower rates? because even if the economy sux, he can hang his hat on the stock market, IF he eliminates higher return alternatives.
that is what he is trying to do.
he won't need to. the weakening economy will soften interest rates. the stock market will continue to rise until corporate earnings start getting killed by declining revenues. which will be soon, imo.

So, If Elizabeth is elected, will taxes on the middle class go up or not? The question Warren won’t answer: Warren was given four chances to answer the question she has thus far refused to directly answer: Whether her Medicare-for-all proposal would increase taxes on the middle class. The fact that she passed each time wasn’t surprising — she instead focuses on total costs going down for the middle class, including health care — but she did get pushback from across the stage, including from Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Beto O’Rourke and even gently from Sanders, who again forthrightly admitted taxes would go up under his plan.

“Together we’re going to deliver real change that once again puts Americans first. That begins with immediately repealing and replacing the disaster known as Obamacare … You’re going to have such great health care, at a tiny fraction of the cost—and it’s going to be so easy.” — Campaign rally in Florida, October, 2016 “It’s an unbelievably complex subject. Nobody knew that health care could be so complicated.”— Meeting with governors at White House, February 28, 2017 18 Confusing Things Donald Trump Has Said About Health CareGreat healthcare trump has provided Americans. Great healthcare.

Why are people so focused on what AOC says and does? She's one congressperson out of 435, and it's her first year. She doesn't have any power.

58% of people in Queens. And, I still don't get why she is such a focus of the right wing.

You probably read it here (and it has nothing to do with not voting for her again): AOC VS NYC: 58% of Ocasio-Cortez’ Home District SUPPORTS Amazon Headquarters Deal
