I saw my first anti- mail in ballot Facebook nonsense today. There were THREE ballots sent to one house. THREE. Clearly that is a sign of widespread fraud. Especially since it was a man's name, another person with the same last name (and possibly a Jr. after it) and the third ballot was to a woman with a different last name. I can't think of a single circumstance where a man, a woman and a relative of the man's would all be legal voters and living at the same address. Can any of you think of a circumstance where three possibly related voters would all have the same address? Scandalous!

I’m afraid if trump loses he’ll refuse to leave office claiming voter fraud. That he’ll urge his minions to form up militias.

Other than the mail carrier, who knows what mail is delivered to someone ELSE'S house? Isn't tampering with the mail a federal offense? We just got 3 forms to request ballots for the special election in June: DH, me, DS4.

I did re-look at it, and it wasn't a Jr., but definitely had the same last name. We have 3 registered voters in this house.

Let me guess, another relief bill right before the election? Some GOP senators have pointed to the start of the August recess as a more likely timeframe for a new bill. McConnell has been careful not to publicly commit to a timeline but has hinted both publicly and privately that the Senate's "pause" before the next coronavirus bill could soon be coming to an end. "I think there's a high likelihood that we'll do another rescue package. ... We're not quite ready to intelligently lay down the next step, but it's not too far off," McConnell said during an interview with Fox News late last week. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/mcconnell-talking-about-fifth-coronavirus-bill-in-the-next-month-or-so/ar-BB14Cuz7?ocid=spartandhp

I have been watching this one. note that this poll has a house bias of at least 5%.

Remember those idiots at Charlottesville, marching around with their tiki torches? Imagine the rural South full of clots of those people staging riots, burning federal court houses, harassing brown people, driving around at high speeds in militia type vehicles, crashing into bystanders, and some people get killed. I'm not saying they would WIN. I'm saying they'd agitate, destroy shit, hurt people, disrupt normal life, and be general pains in the ass because Trump won't take the high road and bow out graciously like normal presidential runner ups. Trump will be whining and agitating until someone finally pulls the plug on whatever social media he's using. It tires me out just thinking about it.

Quite another to face a trained professional with guns pointed at your face when you storm the court house.

That's the regular road. We are so conditioned to his outlandishly disgusting behavior that to even expect he could do the barest minimum like simply get the fuck out when he is supposed to has become too high an expectation. The low bar of expectations has become too high for him.

I just reviewed Trump's approval numbers. he is having a bad couple of months.
since briefly falling below 50% disapproval in April, for the first time since the first months of his presidency, his disapproval is up 4.4%, which is tied for the worst drop since the blush came off his honeymoon, and his highest disapproval since November.
recent polling has him below 40% approval, which is also a bad sign for him. he has been below 40% in three of the last four Morning Consult polls.

the betting odds are now tipped in favor of Biden: electionbettingodds.com/Biden now has nearly a 60% chance of winning both Wisconsin and Arizona.

this is the worst stretch for Trump in the polls since 2017: projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/his disapproval has increased nearly 5% since early April. this is a really bad trend for the GOP, as well: projects.fivethirtyeight.com/congress-generic-ballot-polls/Democrats have now reached 49% in generic ballot polling for the first time this cycle. this makes the Senate even more vulnerable to Democratic takeover, and puts states like MT in play. I could do deeper analysis, but it would be better to wait for more polling. the generic ballot, for example, was pretty stable until June 1st. it now APPEARS to be moving sharply in favor of Democrats....but that is only 1 week of data.

Still months away from November, too. In a year of a pandemic, fatal tornadoes and floods, racial upheaval rocking the nation and murder wasps, I'm not expecting ANYTHING to be the same in November. Who knows, Trump seems like he's stuck in a death spiral of insulting tweets, he may be capable of dropping even lower in the polls.

the outcome is far from certain.
BUT- the trends look really bad for Trump right now.
Biden is now over 50% on the odds. he has been there before, but just barely.

I've been wondering lately if Biden is currently taking the tact of letting trump sink his own ship.
Though trumps new ad is cracking me up "trump made our economy the envy of the world, and he's doing it again". Sure Jan, just skirt right on by the massive economy issues we're still in the thick of.

I think that is a good move for him. most people get it. and those that don't get it are die-hard Trumpsters.
he has his VP choice coming up in a month or two. if he chooses wisely, it might push him well over the top.
it is weird this year. Iowa is turning redder and redder, and so is North Carolina. Wisconsin is a swing state- and it used to be reliably blue. on the other end of the spectrum, however, Arizona is ALSO a swing state, and it used to be reliably red. and Florida looks as much in play as ever.
if Trump can't hold onto Florida, he is absolutely going to lose.

And I thought that the 2016 election season was bizarre...
2020 is unprecedented to say the least. Biden is currently letting Trump hang himself. And Trump seems more than willing to do so with his continued asshattery on Twitter. However, Biden will have to come into the spotlight eventually. At that point, Biden's numbers will drop again and it's game on for Trump. It's a long road ahead to November.
PreCovid, it was Donald's to lose. Now it's more up in the air. (IMO) Post Covid/riots, we'll have to see what happens. In the end, I believe Trump will be re-elected. However, I do not feel strongly enough about that to put money on it.
And 100% yes, if Trump doesn't carry Florida, he loses.

Yeah, I wasn't seen what Biden was doing with BLM as Campaign stuff, but I guess it is in some ways. I hope he loses Florida, would give me hope to oust our stupid ass governor next.
