I just want to add that I never found tattoos extremely painful. I’m sure it depends when you get it and the amount of cushion you have, but I also think it depends on how skilled your artist is, too much pen pressure will hurt more, not enough and it won’t turn out well and take longer. Mine also cautioned against too much alcohol, aspirin, or energy drinks (caffeine), he said those will increase bleeding during your time in the chair. They’re not for everyone, but anyone who knows me considers me very conservative, but I still love my tattoos. How else will they be able to identify me when I die in a horrible blender accident? Placement plays a huge part in the level of pain experienced when getting a tattoo. Try getting a tattoo across your ribs or on your sternum and you'll have a much different opinion. I have lots of tattoos and by far the most painful one was the smallest one I have. I have my first name on the inside of my middle finger on my left hand. Talk about pain! I also have a fabulous tattoo man who is well known for his artistry. He's the best.

I was told it depends on where you get it. Areas where skin is thinner tend to hurt more than areas where skin is thicker. Which makes sense. I'm very skin thinned...metaphorically. so, I shouldn't get a tattoo on my metaphor.

So while rereading what I wrote, I have decided I will do matching bracelets on the wrists and matching anklets. Then I want to have a band of bear heads and skulls twining up my right leg from the anklet. Where that came from I have no idea but it sounds pretty good to me. So now I can't spend any more money. I have decided I will put away all money that I would use on stuffing my face to pay for it. Although, my birthday is coming up so I'm planning on the eyebrow piercing for that. I'll ask my niece where she gets her piercings done.

Was supposed to get some shading done this morning (had a 9:00 appt), when I showed up their was a note on the door “closed to maintain social distancing”. Crap.
These guys deal with blood everyday, have a very clean place and use all proper PPE, who cares if they come within 6-ft of me. Now I’m sad...

It might be they care about coming within six feet of you (and other customers) who might be sick.

There is a mass shortage of PPE right now to the point our company asked us to consider going without even though we work with bacteria. The answer was no. We shut down if it comes to that. We're not taking additional exposure risks for the sake of company profit. A tattoo artist also has to worry about things like HIV and hepatitis. Not to mention you hacking the Coronavirus on them. So I don't blame them one bit for shutting down right now. Since they only make money on comission I am sure the decision was not easy. When this is over I'm getting my 4th and giving my artist a healthy tip. I hope that will help make up for lost time.
