Okay, I am so darned confused and pissed over this article.
A transgender person as a baby boy of two years old talks to his mother about trading his penis for a vagina, and remembers the conversation.

I have to call foul on this. At two years of age, a child cannot remember what he was fed at that age, let alone carry on this type of conversation. To say you remember this conversation is ludicrous, and a sham, over what is a legitimate issue.
Why can't celebrities just be honest about things?

I do not know about anyone else, but at two years of age, I never had the conversation telling my mother I shit my diaper and need to be changed, other than possibly crying like crazy over the problem. 
I think I too would remember such a masterful conversation with my mom explaining why she should stop feeding me such terrible tasting foods all the time. Start using some damn salt or sugar in the food!

Just the other day Trump lied and said Obama had left him with a war situation with North Korea. A big lie. The only person advocating war with North Korea was Trump. There was no potential war with North Korea until Trump got involved. Why do you not care about that lie?

It is about you.  You seem to be writing off the entire personal account because of something being related that may or may not have happened when someone was 2 years old. 

If you were having a conversation with your local tractor mower salesman and they mentioned how they remember being 2 yo's and going outside, getting on Dad's tractor mower, starting it and driving it cutting down their mom's favorite flowers before driving off down the street... and that's how long they've known they loved tractor mowers and why they are a salesman (and why they know so much about tractor mowers).  Would you be calling BS and telling them NO! that never happened. Stop Lying!!!!!!  And,  I'm not buying this tractor mower because you are a salesman and trying to fool me with your BS!! 


Or maybe I'm totally mistaken - and maybe you wanted to start a thread to hear about other poster's earliest memories?   

My earliest memory is of the Cuban Missle Crisis - apparently I watched coverage of it on tv with my family (even though I was still a twinkle in my parents' eyes).   I also remember the assassination of the US President Kennedy in 1963!   But, by then I was in utero.    I was pretty sure these early memories were real until some time in late grade school (heck, my parents/siblings strongly IMPLIED that I had been there watching TV with and how could I not remember the feelings/conversations etc.... ).   I have the school library to thank for clearing up these misconceptions on my part.   

That said.  I'm sure memories are an individual thing.   I do not doubt that a 2 year old would have memories...  And I do not doubt that the ability to remember things varies from person to person.      

I would not discount someone's personal experience nor would I use it to sully their reputation/trustworthiness/believe-ability   SOLELY based on how much I liked their recollections of early childhood.

Which sort of ties in nicely with a fifteen year old female being foggy about an incident in a house thirty some years ago.

Piss pour articles with flagrant sentences about the person's mental recollections of conversations that could not have happened delegitimizes a very important discussion on sexual transitioning. I feel it hurts the discussion of transition and undercuts the process via outlandish personal recollection.
