And the WH and Senate will receive the report. Senate is to start having each Senator privately read the report individually, one person at a time sometime tomorrow with a 20 minute limit per person. Hoping Sparticus does not start writing in crayon on the report when he reads it. I wonder if they check the Democratic Senators for flammable liquids or matches before reading it privately in a room Friday confirmation vote looks pretty good right now.

Wow, I think whoever started the thread about the case they really want Kavanaugh for must be right. If it was only for Roe v. Wade, they apparently have 24 other judges on the list they could pick from right now. Its not about midterms, the GOP is likely to keep the senate, so it can only be about Trump's desire that Kavanaugh is seated in time to rule in Trump's favor.
The political motivation is almost solely on the GOP side.

I did leave one thing off, but this was reported earlier today before word came down the FBI has finished their report. Once the Senators finish reading the report it is locked in a safe, never to be seen again It must go to area 51.......... And I think, if I remember correctly, it's contents are not to be publicly released. Then again Sparticus might just do that, even before he actually reads it.

I imagine the report will be leaked by someone in trump's trusted inner circle.
We have a right to know.

Just my not so humble opinion: I think a veteran investigator with a couple hours of face to face with Mark Judge and a follow-up or two to check out concerns could write a report that a Senator could read to get the sense of whether it would or wouldn't be a good idea to be on record supporting this guy.

What a sham I thought the FBI investigation was to investigate and ask questions of specifically named people who did not appear before the Senate committee. The Senate decided the role and scope of the investigation, and gave the names of people to be interviewed, to the FBI. Is this not true?

Looks like the process has played out and the democrats could not find anymore liars to come forward to denigrate Kavanaugh and destroy the nomination. Flake and Collins seem happy with the report. Remains to be seen how they actually vote.

I know many people are worried how Kavanaugh might vote on the abortion issue if and when it comes out. My gut says he let's it stand, as the law of the land. He would vote a case down if not properly presented in front of him, but not revoke Roe V Wade.

With all due respect , billisonboard , I do not agree a veteran investigator with a couple hours of face to face with Mark Judge and f/u would accomplish much of anything. A lawyer had indicated to MJ had be made to be at the hearing , would be advised not to do that it was akin to a he would have to bleed the 5th kind of scenario. Remember , MJ , was a witness but also he was also a perpetrator of the alleged assault. ' He was also had a very server alcohol problem then that only escalated , so as with the nominee , we likely ill never know the degree or lack of degree of memory impairment related to heaving drinking then aLKy to be verified and explored as if it matched Dr Ford's account , the behavior she noted on seeing MJ can be presumed to a recognition of guilt reaction.he With the non witness but alleged likely few people downstairs the experts have stated it would not be incongruent given no reason to have an ingrained memory to a impromtu gathering at a house with no parents/ and alcohol flowing. They were never told any assault took place and they were never upstairs in a room where screams then silence could be heard from the get go. It was a way of life in the environment and the core group from HA , GP ,Lander school et al set spent time after time hopping homes where no parent was present and tons of alcohol/ drugs was a part of the scene too. It seems to have taken til 1990 til Georgetown Prep w/ the other exclusive schools got so conerned they got together to send the alarm out to parents. One wonders what the hell took them so long .

Also recall the prosecutor became asking a couple questions of the nominee and he quickly started to disintegrate even more ; then as in on cue can Lindsey followed by the other never seeking any truth gang senators to rescue the always rescued not held accountable man predetermined from an early age then sent to GWB to be a part of some horrible decisions ( and I think the country knows how the GWB presidency turned out for the nation. ( I left out so quickly mention here he got sent to be gop attack dog involved with Ken Starr going after Bill Clinton and the his Monica scenario then impeachment farce. ( I found it a farce so jmho and I think Bill Clinton was a dirtbag with his power differential to get involved with an intern. )

There is nothing to corroborate the accusations against Judge Kavanaugh.

I can't imagine Judge making a statement and there not be something, supporting either side, that an investigator would want to follow-up on. If they were not allowed to do the follow-up, for me that information in a report would fall under the not good idea to support.

Not sure why , maybe a concern he has not been particularly honest , what's the alcohol use today ? is he an active alcoholic given his high risk i wonder why yet again they protect this guy ... what's to hide? people with nothing to hide would not care.
White House Says Kavanaugh’s Drinking Is Irrelevant To Senators
The Trump administration stands by the FBI’s limited probe into sexual assault allegations against the Supreme Court nominee.

You just cheer the results "RIGHT" (correct outcome) over "MIGHT" (mob hysteria) is a sound outcome. Summary of the report: After NOT talking to either the accuser or the accused, or any other person who claims to be a witness or a victim, the FBI was not able to confirm any of the details of the oeople they did NOT talk to.

There is nothing to corroborate the accusations against Judge Kavanaugh. Because the WH did not allow the FBI to interview people who could have coorborated the accusations. IOW, the “investigation” was just a whitewash.

I do think it's interesting that the FBI did not question either Ford or Kavanaugh.
One theory was that if they questioned Ford, they'd have to question Kavanaugh. They know that Kavanaugh lied during the hearing and was out of control, the WH was afraid of how he'd respond being questioned by the FBI, and him perjuring himself (again).

Great - re;your post above , a response :
At this point we all know there will ever been a video to capture the event. Many of us have put that out of the decision making equation ; and numerous other threads present the rationale for those of us with those concerns. I understand others do not have thosw concerns . Obviously , as all of us seem to care very much about our country , varied views are the way it will remain.
Hopefully at some point less tribalism can make for more productive discussion in our country. JMHO

Again, I point out the investigation was centered on the individuals who had not been questioned by the committee. I guess like the Mueller investigation you do not give a damn about direction of an investigation unless it goes the way you want it to. I thank God we live in a Republic where rules and direction mean something to at least a few people in D.C.
