I am not sure what the NY Times is trying to accomplish with this.
Is it more fake news?
Is it actually true news?
Was Rosenstein just joking around at the time?
Was everything taken out of context by the people, or one person  in the room at the time?
Is McCabe doing a "Hail Mary" to save his ass if he is the source?

If I were Trump, I would leave Rosentein in place right now.
He could go for a twofer and fire him as well as Mueller if this is true.
My feeling is, it is all come unraveling for the deep state now, and leave them in place to destroy themselves in the near future is the best option.....

I just received this email - If trump does fire either Mueller or Rosenstein, there will be demonstrations all over the country....like this one.

LOCATION: The Triangle across the street from the Co-op. Overflow to line up along the Kai-Tai side of Sims Way.

TIME: The Port Townsend Rally will begin hours after news breaks of a Mueller firing:
If Mueller or Rosenstein is fired BEFORE 2 p.m. local time —> events will begin @ 5 p.m. local time
If Mueller or Rosenstein is fired AFTER 2 p.m. local time —> events will begin @ noon local time the following day.

353 of us have signed up to show up and peacefully rally in PT. Sure hope it doesn't come to this, but if it does, we need to be ready.

As far as the NYT covering the news.....it puts Trump in a bad place, because they might actually be telling the truth this time, aor they are putting the trap in place to get him to fire Rosentein and Mueller fueling the political divide to the tenth degree?
I honestly believed Rosenstein's early denial of the accusation, but he did not deny the actual conversation had occurred.  IMO, I think he might have honestly believed their was a crime committed in the beginning, especially if he was being fed the lies by members of the department. I imagine over time he realized there seems to be some problem whether anything happened as he was told,  but became impossibly hard to dig out of that hole unless you admit the deep state employees are all liars and you have to fire dozens of people in the Justice department and FBI.

That would be a hard pill to swallow for anyone.

Have you seen the video clips of government employees discussing how to undermine President Trump that have been released as part of the never Trump movement?

Is it legit or do you think it is a Russian troll? Remember the Russians helped set up demonstrations prior to the 2016 election. I only trust emails from legit sources.

Those news groups only work on finding quotes from insiders within the White House, and even then when they cannot find anything they just make it up anyway.

I don't understand if President Trump is all the big man he campaigned he was, why don't he just fire them all?  Isn't that what a great leader would do?  Fire Jeff, fire Rod.....He has been in office long enough to quit the complaining to his base and have that swamp drained.

I read mostly, and I think most of the leaks are from Trump much like his practice as a business person. Unlike you, I think this WH is leaky because of Trump. Blame others if you want, but my belief is almost all "leaks" are actually sanctioned releases of info by Trump or his inner circle.
