Unlike u I thank her for her long service to the country which she seemed to serve honestly , faithfully, serving the country as a whole as well as her liberal constituents... Unlike one who sits in the oval office...she has not been accused of raping a 13 year old..[three times] , making fun of a disabled reporter, dissing a gold star family, accused of raping a ex wife, being on record of dissing all woman as sex objects and being able because of position and wealth being able to move on them with no consequences, insulted long time allies, praising a long time enemy , murderer and despot.....and on and on. With all that said...I would have no problem if Dems take over the House that a new House leader be chosen if that is will of the representatives....  |

Pelosi has a lot of baggage, which makes her a focal point for the opposition. If a dem candidate agrees with Pelosi on anything, the GOP candidate uses that in their attack ads.
If her constituents want to keep her, they should, but I think she should step aside from her leadership role.

I agree that everyone running the country is too old. I'm done with the baby boomers. From now on, I will only vote for people under 50. The dems have really screwed up on this, by their lack of support for younger politicians, and it will be a problem for a decade. However, it means the Dems have a chance to really reform the party fairly quickly. Turn over some power to a few young folks, and we could get some fresh thinking in there fast. |

Also believe Trumps recognition of Jeruselum as the Israeli Capital...not needed..made the possible solution of a agreement more difficult...Just about the whole world feels that way..long time allies, long time foes, just folks who sit on the sidelines. Just because Trump says needed...lets face it...if he says it, then it's suspect. As far as praising Iran's leadership...he did get a nuclear deal signed....which it seemed they were in compliance with...As far as the rest of Trumps complaints, meddling in middle east doings, Syria, Yeman, pressure on the Saudis..all that was NOT part of the NUCLEAR agreement. It was the nuclear that we and it seemed the Israelis and Saudis too were most worried about...Obama came through on that.. The Donald wasn't happy...now wants to stir the pot even more by putting more sanctions on Iran....Pressuring long time allies to support us...great way to get along , make friendsand influence people... Seems more like the doings of corrupt regimes. Soviets who controlled their satellite countries until the Soviet system imploded...seems we are copying their actions now in how we deal with allies. When do u think these democracies say enough already and start looking to other folks as allies...say China ? Just saying.  |

I like our Rep Derek Kilmer (age 44) He is very very smart, dedicated, hardworking and communicative. I’ve been to a couple of his town hall meetings and was impressed by him Unfortunately, he probably lacks the seniority to be considered, but I’d sure like to see him as a Dem leader... kilmer.house.gov/ |

I'm done with the baby boomers. From now on, I will only vote for people under 50. Technically I am a "Baby Boomer", but I think that generation is defined incorrectly and usually is looked at as the age cohort Trump and Clinton are from. There is IMO a huge difference from someone born in 1960-1964 to those born 1946-1959.
I spoke to someone earlier today born in 1947, as I was hoping the post office was open. (It was not.  ) But she agreed that perhaps 1959-1964 should be pushed into GenX and the Boomer Generation shortened to those more directly affected by Vietnam, etc. Me personally I'm not going to blame the Dems. At the end of the day, any party runs who they think might be electable. Young usually isn't it, nationally.

So this! Pelosi has become a joke of sorts for the Dem party. If she continues to get elected, it is what it is, but I'm getting kind of tired of her, and also think we could use some new leadership. I thank her for her service, but sometimes you just gotta retire and pass the baton on down to the next kid. |

 I'm all for term limits 9 terms for the House of Representatives = 18 years 3 terms for the Senate = 18 years Even if they swapped from one House to the other it's still a max total of 36 years. The minimum age for both is 25, and 25 + 36 = 61. Time for them to retire and find another job like their 'age discrimination' constituents. Or we can drop it to 12 years each and that would be even better. The age total would be 49.
