Both parties need a new generation of leaders. The Republicans sort of did that in 2016! Maybe not generational, but at least historically!

Pelosi should have been gone ever since her infamous "But we have to pass the [health care] bill so that you can find out what's in it...." comment about the UNaffordable Care Act.
That and her defense of illegal immigrants.

I super disliked her for many years, but now I'm fine with her as long as her constituents keep voting her in.

Unlike u I thank her for her long service to the country which she seemed to serve honestly , faithfully, serving the country as a whole as well as her liberal constituents... Unlike one who sits in the oval office...she has not been accused of raping a 13 year old..[three times] , making fun of a disabled reporter, dissing a gold star family, accused of raping a ex wife, being on record of dissing all woman as sex objects and being able because of position and wealth being able to move on them with no consequences, insulted long time allies, praising a long time enemy , murderer and despot.....and on and on. With all that said...I would have no problem if Dems take over the House that a new House leader be chosen if that is will of the representatives....

Anyone can accuse anyone of anything... doesn't make it reality that they are indeed what they are accused of being though. For example: Someone could accuse you of being someone that sexually violates the knotholes in trees.... IF someone were to do such a despicable thing, would that mean that you actually DO do that? OR... should we assume that you are innocent of that charge until your accuser can PROVE the assertion/accusation? Of course there are no consequences... when something is CONSENSUAL. How many times does "they let you" need to be explained before it sinks in for some people? And the part in red... Didn't Obama do that exact same thing? Insulted Israel (long time ally), and praised Iran (long time enemy led by a murderer and despot)? Why yes... yes he did! And he was lauded for that.

Pelosi has a lot of baggage, which makes her a focal point for the opposition. If a dem candidate agrees with Pelosi on anything, the GOP candidate uses that in their attack ads.
If her constituents want to keep her, they should, but I think she should step aside from her leadership role.

I agree that everyone running the country is too old. I'm done with the baby boomers. From now on, I will only vote for people under 50. The dems have really screwed up on this, by their lack of support for younger politicians, and it will be a problem for a decade. However, it means the Dems have a chance to really reform the party fairly quickly. Turn over some power to a few young folks, and we could get some fresh thinking in there fast.

as occupying force, definitely since the take over of Jeruselum and the territories... Insulted Israel (long time ally), and praised Iran (long time enemy led by a murderer and despot)? Why yes... yes he did! And he was lauded for that. There are numerouse threads on the topic , rape if a 13 year old prostitute...witnesses etc, etc....I can fill the page with them...He did it....ran and partied with convicted one.. ---------------------------------------------- "The allegations aren’t entirely implausible on their face. The accuser says Trump raped her repeatedly at parties thrown by since-convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who was widely known to throw wild parties with young women and girls. Epstein was convicted in 2008 of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution and served a small portion of an 18-year sentence. In a New York magazine profile of Epstein before he went to prison, and long before Trump ran for president, Trump acknowledged that he knows Epstein. “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,’’ Trump says in the story. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it ― Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”---------------------------------------- Will he have to answer in court? No...to much time has passed...and question of why case died...A prostitute...unlawful, word of a prostitute against a billionaire who has been shown to use lawyer, funds to quiet other allegations...and we are finding out not allegations but happenings. ----------------------------------------------- www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-rape-case_us_581a31a5e4b0c43e6c1d9834-------------------------------------------- How does Obama end up in this...don't believe he has been accused of rape and as far as insulting Israel....how? As President who made sure Israel was given aid, military items above and beyond the authorized aid of $4 Billion a year...each and every year while he was POTUS...along with the aid he also wanted certain things from the Netanyahu government regarding West Bank...Settlements...work toward some kind of peace between the parties. No he didn't kiss Netanyahu's butt...don't u feel a President has the right to have a say in certain policies if one gives $ 4 billion , plus a year to them? I believe the POTUS is responsible for foreign policy in how it's conducted by our nation during his time in office...hopefully with consultation with intelligence agencies, experienced and veteran members of the House and Senate, both parties... Fact is, after 70 years of control of Palestinians , especially since the take over of the West Bank , Jeruselum...as occupiers , the over all treatment and feelings of average Israeli's. especially the youth...toward the Palestinians, is not good . They, Palestinians , are over all treated as crap...Granted Israelis were faced with attacks, bombings...at times a state of war by unhappy Palestinians..State of war as declared by Hamas...thus their building of their wall...seems to be mostly effective in stopping daily major violence. That Netanyahu was not happy with his complaints....tough cookies. I am a Jew, a firm believer in Israel as a " Jewish State"...feel if they[ Palestinians / Israeli's] don't come to a agreement, shortly after I leave this earth, if not before....when the Palastinian population is greater then the Jewish one, they reproduce in far greater numbers then the Jews do and even with the ultra orthodox tendency to have hugh families, no way they keep up.......there is going to be a hugh problem for that state, much like South Africa faced and who enacted apartheid and we all know how the world treated that situation. Also believe Trumps recognition of Jeruselum as the Israeli Capital...not needed..made the possible solution of a agreement more difficult...Just about the whole world feels that way..long time allies, long time foes, just folks who sit on the sidelines. Just because Trump says needed...lets face it...if he says it, then it's suspect. As far as praising Iran's leadership...he did get a nuclear deal signed....which it seemed they were in compliance with...As far as the rest of Trumps complaints, meddling in middle east doings, Syria, Yeman, pressure on the Saudis..all that was NOT part of the NUCLEAR agreement. It was the nuclear that we and it seemed the Israelis and Saudis too were most worried about...Obama came through on that.. The Donald wasn't happy...now wants to stir the pot even more by putting more sanctions on Iran....Pressuring long time allies to support us...great way to get along , make friendsand influence people... Seems more like the doings of corrupt regimes. Soviets who controlled their satellite countries until the Soviet system imploded...seems we are copying their actions now in how we deal with allies. When do u think these democracies say enough already and start looking to other folks as allies...say China ? Just saying.

I like our Rep Derek Kilmer (age 44) He is very very smart, dedicated, hardworking and communicative. I’ve been to a couple of his town hall meetings and was impressed by him Unfortunately, he probably lacks the seniority to be considered, but I’d sure like to see him as a Dem leader... kilmer.house.gov/

Technically I am a "Baby Boomer", but I think that generation is defined incorrectly and usually is looked at as the age cohort Trump and Clinton are from. There is IMO a huge difference from someone born in 1960-1964 to those born 1946-1959.
I spoke to someone earlier today born in 1947, as I was hoping the post office was open. (It was not. ) But she agreed that perhaps 1959-1964 should be pushed into GenX and the Boomer Generation shortened to those more directly affected by Vietnam, etc. Me personally I'm not going to blame the Dems. At the end of the day, any party runs who they think might be electable. Young usually isn't it, nationally.

So this! Pelosi has become a joke of sorts for the Dem party. If she continues to get elected, it is what it is, but I'm getting kind of tired of her, and also think we could use some new leadership. I thank her for her service, but sometimes you just gotta retire and pass the baton on down to the next kid.

Not just a joke for the Democrats.
I read one recently where some one says " Be careful if you go out and play in the back yard. I just let the dog out, and I don't want you to step in the Pelosi and track it back into the house"

I'm sorry, but we haven't had any leaders in this country for the last 40 years. You don't lead when you are beholden to lobbiest and your only concern is getting re-elected. With the last election, the swamp just got swampier.

Many of the old timers should go. No one should stay in Congress for 30 - 40 years.

I'm all for term limits 9 terms for the House of Representatives = 18 years 3 terms for the Senate = 18 years Even if they swapped from one House to the other it's still a max total of 36 years. The minimum age for both is 25, and 25 + 36 = 61. Time for them to retire and find another job like their 'age discrimination' constituents. Or we can drop it to 12 years each and that would be even better. The age total would be 49.

Dem avg. 72, Rep avg. 48 Nancy needs to give it up. so, the Grumpy Old People vote for the young representatives, and the young folks vote for the Grumpy Old Democrats? that is just fucking weird.
