On the MSN board, I answered a question that cadrege (sp?) had, and this genius thinks that he can cut and paste it over onto these boards and cry foul. As I did not write any of that on these boards there is no harm, no foul.....no violation.

No. I've only done that once, to you, at your request and another time after that. I don't usually engage in any frivolous paraphernalia. I am all business and to the point. fiscan however is a little different in that regard. I still have not had a response in the robbery of his deserved and just moderator title. Mr. traelin0 who snuck in with only 4 main votes to fiscan's 9 has kept a relatively low profile. The third place candidate is an entirely different story however.

Actually, Mr. traelin0 had 5 main votes and Mr. fiscan was tied for third with the other third place candidate at 9.

UHHH-- back on topic here.... I am more conservative than liberal, and I am glad DADT is gone. I wanted it to go slow all along, until the military finished their assessment. As soon as that concluded that it was "okay", I was all for the repeal. It's not like gays have not always served. And, let's face it, most servicemen and women most likely knew before now that the gay people are gay. JMO-- but I think anyone brave enough to serve should be allowed to serve openly no matter who they are. I am not thinking sexual preferences has much to do with anything in a war zone. But, I am pretty open-minded when it comes to sexuality. Maybe that is because I am straight, from a straight family, and am not all that impressed with the bang-up job straight people are doing, so I see no reason to belittle or not accept anyone else for their sexuality, as long as it is legal and not hurting anyone. God bless the US military-- each and every one of them.

This isn't the MSN board here so I'm just wondering why a pic of the POTUS on a unicorn (if I remember the picture correctly before it got smoked) would get deleted if "silly pics" are not a violation of the "COC in a nutshell."

IMHO, it was deleted because someone was "offended" by it. There have also been posts deleted (apparently before I read them) for being "off topic". Again, nothing in the "COC in a nutshell" about that.

I don't mind rules, but clearly state them and leave the political bias out of it.

I have always liked so called silly pics. Nothing wrong with a chuckle now and then, and if one can't chuckle now and then, maybe the boards are too intense for them. I always laughed at the monkey pics of Bush, and I do think that is insulting to him. Who cares?? Is there a silly pic rule, or not?? I sure hope this place does not become P&M... that would be bad.

I think that the overwhelming problem here is that we have totally entrenched Mods from MSN who just can't help themselves but to bring their MSN ways over here. If these boards are to be a success for moonbeam, then these former MSN Mods need to be booted and unbiased replacements installed. If not, then they will just ruin the experience for most people over here, just as they did over on MSN, and drive many people away.

moonbeam, you have to get rid of the anal Mods that you have retained from MSN, if you truly want these boards to be a success. diver, sanity, rovo absolutely have to go. You have something that could far surpass even MSN, but only if you get rid of these a-holes. IMHO

No Please do not do that. What you have done, and offered to all of us is so truly appreciated by myself and everyone else that the amount of real gratitude is on an ineffable scale. I guess that I am just sorry to see that a couple of really dictatorial types made it as Mods on what you have created.

I promise that I will say no more on the subject, and just let you see if I am right about certain ones, or if they actually chill out over on these new boards. Time will tell.

I do agree with putting a clamp on Miltie-nicking, personal attack and downright vile language, but beyond that, it's an anonymous board and if a poster takes a "silly pic" of a current or past political leader as offensive, they either need to get a sense of humor or grow thicker skin.
